We apologize for any inconvenience caused by poor room cleaning. We have been paying close attention to the room cleaning and confirmation system so that our customers can use it more comfortably on a daily basis, but we are ashamed as much as possible. Sorry for not meeting your expectations. Once again, we will reconfirm the operation and re-train the staff.

Location is great, a minute or 2 walk to metro. Guy in front of desk wasn't that helpful when we arrived an hour before had but was able to leave our bags there.
Room were tiny but that's to be expected in Japan, although I noticed the room was very dusty. I believe previous reviews about this place also say it's dusty, guess that's true.

Thank you very much for choosing Hotel MyStays Shinsaibashi from among many other hotels. Many of our guests have commented on the convenience of our hotel's location. We are very happy to hear that you were satisfied with that point. However, we are very sorry that you were not able to enjoy your stay comfortably due to the dust in the room. We will once again review our operations with the person in charge of cleaning and strive to improve. We take the comments received from our customers seriously and will continue to strive to create a comfortable space. I stayed in Hotel Mystays Shinsaibashi for one night. The location of the hotel is good and you can walk to Shinsaibashi the shopping area within 2 mins. There are many shops and eateries around. You will have great shopping time there.
Staff in the hotel are very nice. They tried their best to use English to communicate with me. I understood their English. So communication is not a problem.
However, I think the hotel has to work harder on the cleanliness. I could find mould on the curtains and a lot of dust on the exhaust fan in the washroom. I wonder when they last cleaned it. Also, my mother and I got mite bites after sleeping for one night.
If you look for a budget hotel and you don't care about cleanliness, Hotel Mystays Shinsaibashi will be definitely on your list of choice since the location is really unbeatable.

It is HOTEL MYSTAYS SHINSAIBASHI. This time thank you for having you use our hotel. Because it becomes the distance of ten minutes by a subway at distance to Osaka-jo Castle from Shinsaibashi Station in a 2-minute walk, this hotel thinks that it is convenient for shopping and the sightseeing of the visitor. I think that praising it to the staff will become the power trying hard still more in future . About the room,I'm so sorry.I let you be careful towards cleaning and am careful about moisture collecting when I clean the room. O.K. then, I wait for a day to be able to meet a visitor. Thank You.

Good small hotel located right behind Hotel Nikko Shinsaibashi. Only 3 mins walk from Shinsaibashi subway to hotel. You can take the elevator connecting OPA shopping mall and subway, no headache to carry all your luggages up and down subway
There are many convenience stores and restaurants downstairs. One street backward is the America Village, 5-10mins to Orange street. Go forward and reach Shinsaibashi shopping lane in 5 mins
You can always go back to the hotel and leave your heavy bags after shopping, take a rest before you go shopping again!
Recommend to take Nankai express when heading to airport. It is only 1 stop away by subway or ¥700 by taxi. Taxi is even cheaper than subwayif u are traveling together with fds

we booked an extra twin room for 3 people family to live in for 3 nights.
from the first night, there are only 2 sets of stuff in the room 2 pillows, 2 slippers, 2 towels, 2 tooth blush.. afte remind the front desk, they bring up the missing ones to the room. everything was still ok.
but at night, we were tired from walking all day, back to the room and found the carpet around the windows are all wet..... so uncomfortable and awful.
after reminder to the front desk again,
for the second night and the third night, there are only 2 sets of stuff in the room, and the wet carpet issue are still there....
we totally cannot understand what's wrong of the quality of this room and service...
the only bad experience for my years of Japanese travel.
really weird.
also, the stairs on the gate to the elevator, not nice for aged people and heavy luggage carriers to get on.
not a smart design.
due to the unstable quality of service. not recommended.

Spent 4 nights here, location is good compared with the price and the hotel is very modern and clean too. Upon check-in, staff is kind enough to explain to us there is water tank checks and elevator checks during our stay and this will affect the elevator and water supply. It was not a concern with us as the checks were during the time that we were out. Room is cozy and clean too.
Location is also good, slightly away from the busy Dotonbori street but 10 minute walking distance. It is a quieter area compared to Dotonbori area. The area is also very safe with police patrolling at night, we walked the streets at 1am in the morning and felt very safe too.
Take note, there is a flight of stairs to climb before reaching the hotel lobby, those carrying a lot of luggages please bear this in mind. There is no housekeeping too for less than 7 days. If you need new towels or other amenities, you have to exchange the towels or request them over the check in counter.

Hotel MyStays has a very good location near the Shinsaibashi station. Just two blocks away, you will be at the bustling Shinsaibashi shopping belt. Surrounding the hotel, there are also many nice eateries and a seven-eleven store opposite the hotel.
The room is pretty small but comfortable. There was no housekeeping one day to our room and a do-not-disturb sign was placed outside our door when we returned. Simply puzzled by it since we were not the ones who placed the sign outside the room, we gave our feedback to the front desk the next day and housekeeping was done duly for the rest of the stay. Standard of housekeeping can be better improved.
The hotel is not located on the same level as the street. Need to climb a flight of stairs and take the lift up to the 2nd floor before you reach their reception desk. For those with heavy luggage, this is a minus point even though one of their staff offered some help. Definitely not wheelchair friendly as well. Maybe they need to build some ramps.

Thank you very much for choosing HOTEL MYSTAYS SHINSABASHI.We appreciate you taking the time to write to us. We deeply apologize for the very unpleasant feelings caused by the cleaning tags in the room. For the convenience of our guests comfortably, from the usual point of view about the cleaning and checking system of the room we pay close attention and I am planning to work on it, but it is embarrassing as long as it is embarrassing. I am sorry to meet your expectations. Once again we will reconfirm the operation and re-educate the staff. Thank you for your valuable opinion on the hotel staircase. I will refer to it as I aim to improve the service. Every staff member at our hotel hopes that you will choose to stay with us again in the future.

Room is very clean as Japan Standard, location is just perfect for us to walk to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Just walk out from hotel, turn to Right access to shopping mall ( Metro station is at basement of the mall ).
Is highly recommended for anyone would like to explore around Shinsaibashi shopping district & Dotonbori. We booked bus transit ticket to airport, bus departure from Nikko Hotel just next to it. Easy for us to check out and move back to airport.
We got the room just opposite elevator, try to change if you are given that. Some brainless traveller were chatting so loudly in early of the morning 5am while waiting for the elevator and disturbed our sleep!

The room was great, we booked for 3 people. The beds were cozy and big. We couldn't open the window though. The bathroom is great as well! The only problem was that it was hard to carry our heavy big luggages to get to the first floor of the hotel from the outside since there was no ramp or any sort. Other than that, it was a good stay! The location is great and convenient.

Just saw this! There is no lift at ground level. You must carry suitcase up a flight to get to the lift. Cheers!
Shinsaibashi station is not covered under JR. If you are coming from other parts (i.e Tokyo) to Osaka, you can use your JR pass till shin-Osaka. You can check hyperdia to navigate around.
