This is a very good-value-for-money new 4* hotel in Taipei (booked it at TWD2910 Per Room Per Night, Double Room with free breakfast and free WIFI). Room is adequately big with a relaxing armchair by the side of the balcony. Big flat-screen TV, kettle, snacks, mini fridge, safe and alarm clock are provided. The bathroom is big and nice with basic toiletries, hair dryer, separate bath tub and rain-shower cubicle. Buffet breakfast is okay -- room for improvement: fruits station should be replenished (since breakfast closes at 10am) because at 8.45am there was almost no more left on the days when we were there). Location of the hotel is excellent -- it is only steps away from either Exit 2 or Exit 3 of XingTianGong MRT Station. If taking the Airport Bus, Evergreen Bus #5201 from Taoyuan International Airport is about 45 mins at TWD150 per pax -- alight at the 4th Stop (Evergreen Marine Corp Stop) after you board from Terminal 1, then cross the road and the hotel is a short walk away (about 2-min). Returning to airport is easy too -- turn right at hotel exit, walk straight up (towards Exit 3 of XingTianGong MRT Station direction) for about 300m, the bus-stop to board Evergreen Bus #5201 (loop service) is right in front of Giordano and HangTen shops. Purchase bus tickets from the small kiosk (it was an uncle manning it when we were there) beside the bus-stop. Bus frequency is approximately 20 min, journey is 35-40 min to Terminal 1 (bus will stop at Terminal 2 prior to Terminal 1), fare is TWD150 per pax.

We stayed 8 nights here about 2 weeks ago. We had some criteria for choosing a hotel when we stayed in Taipei.

1) Wanted a fairly new/recently renovated hotel and clean place to stay
2) A good home base without swimming pool or gym
3) Complimentary breakfast
4) A secure place(need electronic keys to go up the elevator to access your room, always a person in the front desk to monitor things)
5) A place with good value
6) Centrally located to access all the touristy sites(within 2-4 miles)
7) Friendly service
8) 24hr checkin as we did not arrive until about midnight
9) Very accessible to stores(7 eleven, watson, etc...) restaurants and taxi
10) Fairly good sized room
11) Self service washer and dryer
12) Free Wifi(speed not bad)

IMO, the place exceeded my family's expectation.

I especially like the bathroom, its nice and it comes with a Japanese toilet(made by Toto).

One minor complaint is the bed. Its harder that I'd like.

During business hour, there is a "door person" open the hotel door for guest. I think this is was nice and I did not expect this kind of service for a 4 star hotel.

The front desk is handled by some friendly and helpful folks. They helped me try to get a reservation at a Chinese restaurant as I could not speak mandarin. In addition, they arrange a limo service(1400NTD, which is about 3-4 USD more compare to a taxi) for us for an early morning trip to the airport and provided drinks(cold coffee and juice) and breakfast sandwhich.

The hotel is centrally located to all the tourist sites(1-4 miles from hotel) we visited. We used taxis 95% of the time in Taipei and reached most of the places within ~10-15min, and was cost and time effective(usually about 5-7 USD for a family of 4).

Lastly, about the complimentary breakfast, we found that it was good. We ate here everyday and it helped our vacation dollar. If you are a westerner, you may not like the traditional Taiwanese/Chinese breakfast because its "very chinese". Some of the food they served almost daily are:
1) Stirred fried seafood(shrimp, scallop) with vegetables(love their scallop, tasted fresh and not frozen)
2) Plain Porridge/congee(condiments you an add are salted eggs, dried fish, fish flakes, turnip, peanut and more.
3) Fish cooked in different ways
4) Vegetables
5) Rice
6) Cereal, bread, rolls, croissant
7) Fruit like pineapple, guava, papaya, watermelon etc.... on different days
8) Grapefruit juice, orange juice(I think), milk,
9) Nothing like a good cup of coffee(they have a machine that makes cappuccino, usual coffee, expresso, really like the coffee bean they use, very flavorful and strong, coffee is comparable to my local Starbuck back home and much better than some cruise ships)

Have a nice stay if you decide to stay here.

BTW, K-Hotel is a hotel chain. They have many other locations in the city so be sure to book the one on Songjiang road in a business district if you want to stay at the one I reviewed.

After 8 months from last stay I visited Taipei again in December for Taipei Marathon. Undoubtedly I returned to K-Hotel.

This time I came with my family so I booked a Delux Room with extra bed. There was an extra charge NT$700 with breakfast. The extra bed was converted by the sofa which was very comfortable.

Same as my last visit, everything in good condition. Very clean and tidy. My only comment this time was the water pressure of the shower. Water came out a bit weak.

Breakfast was good again. Plenty of choices. Taiwan style congee was excellent.

Hotel located right next to Taipei Metro Xingtian Temple station. Very easy to get around the city. Airport bus (Evergreen) stopped just one block away. In addition, free parking was provided for drivers.

Terrible Cigarette Smell Room! Very disappointment.

After 16 hours flight from New York City. Checked in K Hotel Songjiang and the room had terrible cigarette smell. Complained to the front desk before I left for dinner. They said they will have an air treatment for the room. Came back after dinner, the room smell just as bad as before. They said it is probably a guest had smoked in the room before or a guest next door is smoking. I am very allergic to cigarette smoke and started coughing. Although I am exhausted from the long flight, for the sake of my health I decided to move to another hotel.

It is my understanding that Taiwan's law prohibit smoking in any hotel guest room. I don't understand why K Hotel Songjiang would allow guests smoke in the room in violation of the law. This hotel obviously had no concern of the guest's right to a clean non-smoking room.

When I come to Taipei, I stay here sometimes. It is convenient location.
And service is good.
Cleanness is good.
Fee is reasonable.
From Taoyuan Airport,
Easier way is to use Bus No5201 or 5202 to Xingtian Temple Station
捷運行天宮站.
Hotel is located 3-5min. by walking.
Bus fee is 124NT$.(Mar 2017)
And MTR Station is very near.
Good Location.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Overall is quite good and value for money. Room is clean and big enough for 2 persons with two of big size baggage ( 24'). Free Wifi at room. However, dont depend on their breakfast. It's not varieties...

Location is like 2 minutes walk to MRT Station , Xiantien. Starbucks is like 3-5 minutes walk but coffee shop next to the hotel is seemed not bad as well. Next to Starbucks is 7-eleven. It's so convenient.

This is a new hotel. Everything in good, new quality. Train station located next door.

Room is not very big but still have spare space for moving around. Big flat TV, Hi-Fi, Music player for iPhone. Towels, cups, tooth brush...whatever offered in pairs are in 2 different colors. So you will not mix-up with your partners. Snacks provide free of charge in-room, mostly Japanese snacks which were delicious.

Busy area around the hotel. 7-11, Watsons and lots of restruants around the areas. Don't overlook the small streets at the back. Very closed to underground station. 10 minutes trip to Taipei station at NT$20. 15 minutes to 101 at NT$25.

Breakfast up to standard. Not many choices but adequate unless you stay too long.

Services was good at both front desk and resturant.

There were 2 highlights for this hotel.

1. Free laundry, self service. There were 2 washing machines and 2 drying machines located on the 2nd floor. Washing fluid was also provided. This facilities is excellent for me after travelling for few days in Taiwan and I can refresh myself.

2. Free parking which not usual in Taipei area.

We stayed here Nov 19 and it was convenient to where we needed to be we actually booked this hotel when we were there so we inspected the rooms before we made our reservation, the rooms are very well equipped and the beds were comfortable for me but my wife found them too hard and the maid put a quilt topper on the mattress and made it softer so that was good.
The staff at reception were not that friendly, certainly not like other hotels we have been to recently where they have gone beyond the call of duty but not unfriendly.
The one thing that would stop me staying here again and we visit every year is the breakfast it really was awful and its not because they serve to suit the guests being mainly a asian /chinese selection as i am used to it as my wife is from Taiwan and i enjoy the food but this was the worst i have had in many years it really was very poor and in most cases the food was cold its a shame as its perfect position for where we need to be each time we visit each year.
All in all happy with room once bed sorted but thats it and i certainly cannot recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel as it was on a direct line from airport so coming and going to the Taoyuan airport was extremely convenient. Our executive room was spacious with a king size bed. Service from all levels were courteous and polite. All imaginable amenities were provided even in room snacks every day! Delicious breakfast was also provided in the room rate, which we appreciated. It’s mainly Taiwanese breakfast which I enjoyed although it did get repetitive. We would happily book this hotel again in the future, given the location is fantastic and right next to the MRT station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here for a few nights and it was exactly what I paid for! Staff were very friendly and gave good advice about the city sights. The rooms are clean and breakfast good. I would stay here again as it is situated next to the train station. No room service which was a shame but it didn’t affect my stay.
