Moose and Squirrel has a modern setup against the wonderful sights of QingJing area. The view from the rooms are breathtaking. Worth staying if you are looking for something not so dated in design. Breakfast is adequate and there is a popular restaurant right beside the lodge.

The wifi connection is good - I have YouTube entertaining me the time when I was staying. My room was on the ground floor where the reception and restaurant are and I had to share a shower room and a toilet with another room. The toilet is clean and pleasant. The shower room is spacious. There was a top shelf to hold stuff, and rail with two hooks so I could hang things. The only complaint I had is the water taps of the shower. Both the cold water and hot water taps are the turning ones, ie every time I needed to turn each one of them to adjust the water temperature - not the most pleasant thing when the temperature is chilly. The door is of frosted glass. I would appreciate the curtain to be inside instead of outside so that outsiders can decide to look into my room or not~ The restaurant and balcony has a good view of the mountain and part of the Old English Manor. It doesn't offer dinner. Food at breakfast is delicious…

Beautiful is the scenery. We are a group of 8 friends, staying at 3 rooms on the same floor and all with balconies with beautiful mountain view. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is above average. Service is excellent. There is one good restaurant opposite which serves delicious dinner and offer discount for guests staying here.

Its my first visit to Cingjing. I just wanted a small cosy room to myself as I am travelling alone. Took Nantou bus from Taichung HSR station and dropped off at 龍莊 (nearest stop to Minsu). Remember to carry ligjt as there is 6-8mins walk up (curvy slope to minsu). When I have arrived at the minsu, was greeted by 2 german sheepdogs. Super friendly and adorable. :) The lady at the reception counter was friendly and nice. Upon check in, I have seeked her help to book for me the sunrise tour at Hehuanshan at 4am. MUST MUST GO! I have forgotten to bring my travel adapter, she was kind enough to loan me one which she said i just have to return upon check out. Breakfast spread was good enough for me. Pumpkin porridge, some toast, muffins, eggs, some assorted appetizer. Room was clean and cosy. Just the way i like it. Great stay i had. Nearest 7-11 is about 10-12mins walk around away. …

The B&B was opened in Jan 2017, and owner Ms Wu was in design industry before setting up the place. Nicely decorated rooms with every detail accounted for. Ms Wu is friendly and approachable, as the rooms were fully booked, she allowed our family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids into the quad room, with two extra beds provided. However, the greatest hosts should be the two sheepdogs LeiLei and Pokky, which are playful and friendly. Our children never had enough of time spending with them despite staying there for 2 nights. We drove to the B&B ourselves, place is not hard to find using the rented car’s GPS system or the Waze app. Book early as the rooms get filled up quite fast. Would return again if we are going CingJing.

We stay in a spacious double room and beautiful scenery. The room was clean with a large bathtub, however might be due to the height level, shower water was in low pressure and a bit cold ( so the bathtub is just a decoration). Breakfast was simple but sufficient. If you take a bit of walk there is a 7-11 in the distance but we drove to nearby shops and restaurant. It is quite cold at night and there is no air-conditioner/ heater in the room.

I traveled with family during summer this year and stayed 2 nights in Moose & Squirrel B&B. The host is a very gorgeous lady who is very nice and helpful. Especially thanks to the two giant england old sheepdogs, they are indeed very professional PRs, greet us upon arrival, play and mingle during our stay, and surprisingly they come to bid goodbye when we checked out! Such a warm and lovely doggies, I won't forget them. And need not to mention the hardware side of the B&B, nice 2-storey room, quality toiletries and facilities, comfy bed linens and pillows, a strong shower, all things are perfect!
