Detailed Reviews
Absolutely loving this hotel! The design of the room was great! I love the way the furnitures were arranged. However, there may be privacy issue staying at level 1 - access to swimming pool. People who are at the pool can look into the room, so better make sure you draw the curtains! Location was good! Only 3-5 mins walk to Kamala beach!
Breakfast was just nice for me. Not buffet style though. I will definitely recommend this hotel!

Stayed in triple executive room 401 - on the fourth floor. Had a lovely long wraparound balcony with french doors on two sides, right next to a humongous tree with squirrels running up and down. It felt like we were in a tree!
The vibe is minimalist and basic. The room is huge, and it was very chill and calm. Some reviews mentioned the garbage at the side of the road and the laundry and the abandoned construction next door. Personally, this is Thailand and ASEAN for you - pockets of pretty side-by-side with the gross.
If you get a good rate, which we did, this hotel is worth it. I didn't use the F&B or the pool, but saw some Japanese kids splashing in there and they seemed pretty happy.
Would also like to thank front desk staffer Abdul Hakeem for being so kind and advising us on where we could get good halal food. There are some Muslim restaurants in the surrounding streets - go through the alley towards the beach and head either left or right. There are also a couple of halal stalls on the bridge near the tsunami memorial and pocket park. Layalina Hotel right on the beach does a good but pricey halal breakfast. Lovely to sit on their beach terrace and eat though!
I went for a walk very early after the dawn prayers - at about 6.30 am. The area is perfectly safe for women and children - plenty of hijabis, children and farangs walking and running about on the beach. You can see the police station from the beach.
Happy I chose Kamala as my base - there is some rubbish on the beach path and the soft sand but the water was clear enough for us to see the baby fish and the beach itself is clean. The authorities could help by providing more bins. I picked up some litter but couldn't find a dustbin.
While there were crowds, we had no difficulty getting a wide spot for ourselves on the beach, especially if you're there by 8am and out by noon. The sun sets at Kamala and Surin and the other beaches on the west, so we found it just too hot to be there in the evening.
A nice thing to do is enjoy the sunset at Kalim Beach (10 minutes from Kamala), which is full of mossy rocks and very pretty. Then head up onto the road to eat all the halal street food. Highly recommend the beef soup noodles in the middle, and the shabu2 hotpot at the far left of the stalls is an experience by itself if you like street food.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and it was a great experience. The rooms were really tastefully furnished, with a big balcony, table and chairs, overlooking the swimming pool.
Staff were very polite and spoke english very well. The owner happened to be at the hotel when we were there, a very helpful lady and very courteous. The restaurant had a very good breakfast buffet and a happy hour every evening for drinks. Would good back to this hotel anytime. The pool was very clean and warrm, It was a lovely pool. Never over crowded.

Almost everything here was perfect. The room was spacious with island bed, wet room shower and separate toilet. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Large full width balcony with table and chairs. Overlooks a car park and laundry but this is offset by the view of the hotels own pool. Food was excellent and reasonable priced in an open plan restaurant or on the lawn under sun umbrellas if you prefer. The staff were all exceptional, very helpful and pleasant at all times. My wife has some mobility problems and found the steps to enter the hotel and access the restaurant challenging as they had no hand rails. The pool was inaccessible to her. Therefore four stars

+1
Lucky to get the last room here during peak season in Phuket. Quiet location, just a short walk to the beach. Super clean! Enjoyed the owners’ warm hospitality. Design with attention to detail, it impressed us. Kamala is has a pretty crowdedbeach, but kept clean and maintained. Ambulent vendors about, but not bothersome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A jewel in Kamala, Phuket!

The Wabi Sabi is a new (about 12 months old), spotlessly clean and efficiently run hotel, which offers fantastic value for money. The immediate outlook isn’t great, but if this hotel was on the beach or if it had a fantastic sea-view you would be paying twice, maybe three times as much for your room. Having said that, it is only a short (100m) walk to the main street in Kamala Beach and it’s an even shorter walk from there to the excellent sandy beach.
The Restaurant and Bar service is limited, reflecting the size of the hotel, but the breakfasts are freshly prepared, very tasty and well presented.
The only down side is the lack of storage in the rooms; a single shelf, two shallow drawers and a single rail with 5 hangers isn’t really sufficient for two people carrying enough clothes for a 2 or 3 week holiday – but I understand this this is on the management’s “to-do list”.
It is worth noting that the rooms ending in ‘08 (108, 208, etc.) stand ‘head and shoulders’ above the rest; they have terrific ‘triple aspect’ floor to ceiling windows/doors, with a ‘wrap-around’ balcony – and that those on the upper floors (408 and 508) offer more privacy.
Overall, the Wabi Sabi is a very cost-effective and conveniently located hotel. I would highly recommend it.

Öppet i taket. Högljudd men effektiv AC i båda rummen.

Personnel charmant.

Hotel is modern which is a plus and it's cheap, so expect nothing spectacular. There is no much room for your belongings, no closet, no warm water in the sink, very small pool overlooking the inside of other guests rooms. Maybe a good place for backpackers with basic needs. Surrounding it terrible, and view from the seaview room is a joke, mainly garbage and construction and no sea. Definitely not a seaview you expect. We cancelled after first night.

We only paid 700 Baht for a metered taxi from airport to Kamala Beach. More than 800 and you were ripped off which is common. Go out the airport door to the left and find the metered taxis. Only use metered taxis all over Thailand, if you use the airport limousine ones that they offer you will pay double.
One there, wine is expensive, beer is ok, food is inexpensive if you choose Thai curries etc, which are amazing! £500 should be enough for two weeks if you are careful. Also remember everything you buy in the shops should be bartered for, including any excursions. The excursions we took we got for 50% off the brochure price. Have fun...
Food was reasonable prices when we were there in October around Kamala Beach. All kinds of food and prices. Now is high season so maybe more expensive. Breakfast was included in the price at Wabi Sabi Boutique hotel and was excellent, filled me up so no need for a big lunch.
My flight was delayed last time I stayed at Wabi Sabi and not only was there someone at the desk, the owner was there to greet me. I arrived about 1:30 AM. THAT'S SERVICE!!.
Hi Dear, we have diferent prices: you have the option to take all the rooms with breakfast included or without, thanks
We paid 1000 thb using hotel transfer
