As a World of Hyatt member we have stayed in a number of Hyatt properties this is not the best but it is very good. The location is in a very pleasant residential area opposite a not very usable beach with a 15 minute hilly walk to a wide variety of popular restaurants , shops and massage studios . First impressions of the property’s kerb appeal are not that good but once inside the lobby that impression changes the hotel is recently renovated and is presented in a very attractive and modern Thai style with very friendly and efficient staff ( Jay and Boo) at checkin were particularly pleasant . The checkin itself is very long winded and requires proof of medical insurance even though we had done the five day test and of course had a Thai travel pass , we were soon to discover that Hyatts policy with regard to Covid 19 is rather overdone in relation to other 5 star hotels in Thailand , face masks required in open areas such as the pool , plastic gloves in the restaurant , masks yes but gloves who does that anymore especially as some staff members don’t wear gloves all the time. Our club room (8007) - which allowed access to the excellent regency club with the superb service provided =by Yuda , Mai and their colleagues. - was spacious and tastefully decorated with most of the normal facilities but unusually lacked a proper coffee machine ,connectivity was excellent . The bathroom reflected the room and was very modern and sparklingly clean ,towels however were definitely not the usual quality and always had aslight smell of bleach and appeared to have seen better times .The shower had good water pressure from either a rain fixture of a hand held option but it has to be stressed the floor when wet is rather slippery , I had a shower and my wife showered several hours later and didn’t notice that there was a small puddle of water which had not drained properly and very nearly had a nasty fall . I solved the problem by laying towels inside the shower along with the rubber mat the hotel provide other guests but Hyatt need to do something permanent to fix this issue at the same time putting hanging hooks in the bathroom wouldn’t be a bad idea having to throw a damp, towel,or robe over the bath is irritating to a neat freak like me😎. There is a paid for breakfast which depending 0n your room category may be complimentary either way it is superb as is always the case with Hyatt .Externally there is a huge well maintained pool overlooking the beach with a good supply of sun loungers and waiter service from the bar .there is also a small gym which I thought was a bit lacking in basic equipment. That aside the staff are fantastic regardless of where they work ,everyone is very friendly and polite. In short we enjoyed our stay and would reserve a room again/

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and were incredibly disappointed to leave.

The staff are amazing led by the engaging and super helpful Mickey where a text message is sufficient to find all necessary information and make bookings. He is a class act and a huge asset to the hotel but along with the broader team from check in, concierge taking you up to the rooms, breakfast and housekeeping we couldn't have been better looked after.

The Hyatt is a 200 BAHT trip or 25 min walk to Kamala beach and originally we were worried about the location. We mixed things up and went into the beach for food and shopping without finding the travel difficult or expensive. The Hotel has a shuttle service but limited times of the day and we didn't use it. Slightly more time options might be good as things get busier especially in the evening.

The hotel itself is well looked after and there are no signs of a post covid decline which we experienced at other hotels in Phuket. The breakfast was sensational. We had a Regency Suite which allowed access to some free drinks and nibbles after 5pm. An amazing location and the staff couldn't have been more attentive there as well.

We used the Spa which was well priced for an upmarket hotel and there were plenty of both paid and free activities on offer. There is plenty to do.

We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning one day.

Stayed here recently with my family with 3 kids, age 12, 12, 10. We booked the 2 bedroom family bunk bed room and absolutely loved our stay. The kids loved bunk bed room too!

We were served by Noodles for our check in and she's friendly and helpful. I must say all the staffs in Hyatt renders great service to the guests.

Hotel is located along the Kamala beach, there's only a small Kamala city centre which free shuttle bus service is provided at certain timings. There are some restaurants, small 7-11 and massage places over at the Kamala centre. Location wise there is really nothing much around the hotel area and area is quite secluded by itself. To walk to city centre took us a good 20 minutes up and down the hill - lesson learnt take the hotel shuttle bus or taxi.

Our hotel room was spacious and very clean. Love the idea of kids having their own bunk bed while parents still have their private space. Toiletries items are all provided for, drinking water & fresh towels provided daily. There is also a safe in the room to keep your valuables.

We will need to take a buggy to travel within the hotel as this place is huge and buildings are all up in the hill. Buggy will come in about 5 minutes after you call "0" and request for one via the room telephone.

There are alot of activities for kids in the hotel, what was interesting was really the Marine biologist centre which kids can join in the lesson and learn about marine animals etc. Do make booking via the concierge for your kids for the various lessons in advance. Some activities are free and some will need cash top up.

Hotel breakfast was sumptuous and food selection is wide. We also went for dinner at the restaurant Casa Boho at the hotel - serving mexican/western cuisine. Food was delicious however portion is quite tiny and price is a little steep.

Overall loved our stay here at Hyatt Regency, great place especially for family with kids. Kids can be occupied with the activities provided at hotel. There is also Nanny services provided at the hotel should you want a break in looking after your young kids.

Average stay at the Hyatt regency Phuket resort. The hotel location is very private, the room is okay, the air conditioner in the room can be improved, blowing strong air even though was on low. The room was also quite humid.

We loved the pool. The pool is incredible, suitable for kids, great view, large and even tho on a busy day u won’t feel very crowed there. All staff at the pool are very nice and caring, especially Lee! Lee would greet us and get water, ice, and towels ready for us every time, and he took extra care with us like always asking what we need or bring toys to my baby to make sure my baby is having a fun time too. 👍🏻

I had researched the hotel extensively prior to our visit as I wanted this to be the best hotel during our Phuket stay in which we had booked 3 hotels in order to see all parts of the island. On arrival by private taxi from The Grande Mercure in Khao Lak we were straight away disappointed to see that there was a derelict hotel on each side of the Hyatt which is not shown in any of the pictures, I don’t blame the hotel for this as it must be so frustrating for them. We arrived around 2.30 to reception and shown to the desk, we were not offered any cold towel or welcome drink which is unusual for Thailand. Our room wasn’t ready so we were shown to the Regency Lounge while we waited which was part of our package as we had booked the 2 bedroom Regency suite. My first impression of the club lounge was a visit to the toilets, probably the worst toilet I have been in a 5* hotel and needs immediate refurbishment. The lounge offers great views however the choice of snacks on offer were very limited and not worth the additional cost in our opinion as the distance up the hill (buggy required) often put us off going there.
We were taken to our suite and while the suite is very spacious it lacked any kind of luxury, it had lots of space and no charm in comparison to our last hotel. In the main bedroom there was a wide space at the side of the bed were there used to be a round suite for sitting but this had been removed and not replaced.
In the evening we found it difficult to sleep as the air conditioning was so noisy, we thought it was our air conditioning only to find that there were multiple air conditioning units to the side of our room all running through the night almost causing the room to vibrate and feel like we were sleeping above the engine room of a ship.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic compared to what we have experienced before, choice is good and plentiful but you need to complete paper slips for egg orders which again is unusual.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and the restaurant food is reasonably priced and excellent quality.
We complained about the room following 2 nights of not much sleep only to be shown a room higher up the hillside with a view of the construction site next door and a smaller family room which was nicer in design but not to our liking so we decided to check out early and move to another hotel.
The hotels own reef is also good but the beach could do with a clean up as there is a lot of rubbish on the sand.
Kamala town is about 25 minutes walk away and we were quite disappointed with the lack of good quality shops and restaurants and after going there once wouldn’t really find the need to go again.

This is such a joke calling this place a 5-star hotel. I have stayed here for a week and it was insane. The worst hotel experience in my life. Living in Hyatt regency is like living in the middle of a night club. Every day and night they host some external events (like birthday parties etc.) and blast music like crazy. The level of disrespect to the guests is going through the roof. See the level of noise on videos attached yourself.

Moreover, staff does nothing to address this, I have been complaining everyday, asking to move me to another room where I can sleep at least, nothing ever happened. They are just “very sorry, but can’t do anything about it”. Imagine paying for a 5-star hotel in a peak season and not being able to sleep a single night.

Overall service is terrible, pool side stuff takes ages to serve you. Once we literally ordered food delivery from town and got it way faster than our ice cream from pool bar.
Moreover, staff barely speaks any English and knows nothing about hotel menu/policies/venues.
I had to go and deliberately ask 3 times for room cleaning to come and clean my room, at the end they serve me half empty sealed bottle of water.

And here I’m not even talking about worn out equipment, broken furniture, smell in the room and many many more

First of all, please accept my most sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations, especially due to an event that was held at the resort during your stay. Like many other resorts, we do receive some events but we also ensure that all such events are confined to our event spaces or if conducted in other areas, they are finished early to ensure tranquility for our guests, it is unfortunate to see that it did not happen with you. We stayed for a week at this hotel, and it was excellent. The staff were always helpful and friendly, and were so kind to our daughter. We stayed in a family room with a sea themed room for our daughter which was perfect for a longer stay as we all had our own space.

Our room was halfway up the hill - most of the time we just walked up and back, but the buggies were always ready to take us up the hill at a moment's notice.

The breakfast buffet was absolutely incredible as were the international dinners.

The pool is huge and clean and with a nice view, we could always get a cabana or lounge next to the pool, and they would deliver towels and cold water - above and beyond.

It was a short ride into town to get food and go for a walk on the beach.

We spent one week at the Hyatt. From the moment we arrived until the last moment of our stay, we were pampered and well looked after. The staff were extremely friendly. ‘Lee’, the pool attendant, made sure that all our needs were met and gave us great advice about good places to visit in Phuket. ‘Por’ and other room-cleaning staff members did a great job in bringing a smile on our lips by putting beautiful flowers everyday on our freshly made bed. The buffet breakfast was great and the restaurant managers and other staff were always around, making sure the guests have what they need. The staff in clubhouse were outstanding. ‘Eve’ and ‘Mai’ looked after us so well and surprised us every evening with beautiful cocktails and canapés. Last but not least, the relaxing experience at the spa, the Thai massage, and the super friendly staff at the spa left us with some unforgettable memories.
In summary, it was an outstanding stay, the food, view and ambiance were extremely pleasing and we had a great time.

We stayed for 2 weeks in low season. The hotel grounds are gorgeous with an interesting layout which is built into the hillside so very steep but golf buggy’s were on hand if you needed to move around. We had access to the Regency Club which gave spectacular views at sunset during happy hour, the staff here were wonderful. Breakfast was a treat with something for everyone, probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a hotel (didn’t get boring even after 2 weeks!!). Our room was large and comfortable- we opted for a 2bd suite as we had an extended stay as a family of four so we were very comfortable with plenty of space. Feedback to hotel is to please improve the TV channels as nothing for children, also more English speaking / entertainment channels would be a good investment.
We had a small issue with a blocked shower so had a flood a couple of times but it was attended to immediately by the staff, and they followed up and ensured we were happy with the outcome - so all good. Casa Boho is a new on-site restaurant which is super cool at sunset with a DJ and infinity pool, food here is ok I think they can improve given the expensive prices however it’s a must for at least one night of your stay. We visited twice, and realised after reading the menu the second time that on the first visit I didn’t receive my whole dish! Items were missing but I was busy talking and didn’t notice! I did mention this to the restaurant manager on our second visit to which he apologised but no good will (or missing items from meal #1) were received for meal #2 which felt like a shame! Location is a bit out of the way, at the end of the strip of ocean facing hotels and apartments, which has its benefits as it means it’s very quiet at night, but it’s not in the heart of the action if you like to step out of the hotel and into shops, restaurants etc. Kamala beach is walkable in about 15 minutes or accessed by cheap taxis or tuk tuks if you don’t fancy the walk. Overall I’m very glad we chose the Hyatt, and I would consider staying again even though we like to explore new places on our family holidays, however staying in a Hyatt property has definitely made me want to continue within the hotel brand.

We went there as family with young children and we got free upgrade to big room. We heard the hotel had just finished renovation, so our room looked good. The room floor also seemed to have some coating, so it was never slippery. So really nothing but good things to say about the room. The first night, we arrived almost sunset time, and we got to enjoy the spectacular sunset view in the lounge at the top of the hill, all due to Room Director Chris.

Toto was also super nice. He really looked after our children and played with them in the beach. Mickey was also full of information for things to do in Phuket, and lots of contacts too. He hooked us up with swim coaches in the water park in Laguna area. The chef in breakfast was also so attentive and talked with our kids, making sure everything was ok with our breakfast. Benz and others from front office were also very good. He brought us some cold bottle waters for our long trip.

We also went to few other higher-end hotels in Phuket, but we think this hotel team was really a league of their own. We spent almost a week there and we really enjoyed our stay there. We are definitely going back there next time!

Can’t think that they did. There was an area & room for young children but you’d need to be with them.
