Always a pleasure staying here. Staff, food, views and beach amazing. Been several times before and most probably go back again, value for money. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed their first time and also want to come back.
A short midweek couple’s getaway. Jacuzzi villa. I wish i could give this place six stars because it well and truly deserves it! From the moment of checkin to final departure the staff are what really sets this pace apart - warm welcomes, nothing too much trouble, and even remembering our ‘favourite table’ on the second day. The room itself might be showing its age in some places, but that hardly matters when you can step outside to your private sun deck with plunge pool/jacuzzi, beautifully manicured lawns, and the beach a mere two or three metres away. But let’s get back to the staff… nothing was too much trouble, whether changing the lead person on the booking on arrival (so we could get the points), having the room cleaned while we were at the spa (lots of places say they will do it while you are out, but don’t always deliver), being genuinely interested in their guests, and offering complete flexibility to make the holiday such a pleasure. A small, example was our pre-paid Thai massage which the spa proactively offered to change to anything else we wanted, transferring the discount to the new service. The food itself was ok… some dishes were really good, some were not to our liking, but that wasn’t really the fault of the chefs. With an Accor plus membership we received a 50 per cent off discount which is taken into account when rating the overall food and beverage offering. The beach in front of the hotel is now regularly cleaned by the hotel’s staff, and any reports that Phuket hasn’t readied itself for visitors can be put to rest - at least for Kamala Beach. If you turn left along the beach and walk about 200 metres you’ll find lots of little restaurants and massage places on the beach, that’s if you want to leave the hotel! If you’re looking for total relaxation, with everything running smoothly and to plan, this is a place worth considering.…
Excellent hotel for relaxing and enjoyable moments free upgrade to Jacuzzi Villa with swimming pool seeing sea. Front desk and Bell drivers were nice and helpful! Thank you Khun Yaya for a nice 1 hour Thai massage, Khun Pan (Duty Manager) K Yuki for organizing the trip. I definitely recommend it.
We checked in late and the reception staff were more concerned with setting up the "Digital Concierge" than allowing us to our room. I paid for an upgrade to the 1 bed pool villa, the pool is on the roof and due to the design the room is very small, dark and like a concrete bunker! Luckily the hotel were able to change us to an Ocean Suite the following day. I was told on 2 separate occasions by 2 different reception staff that the price difference would be credited upon check out, this did not happen and despite numerous emails to clarify I have now given up. The Ocean suite was very nice, had everything we needed. I had an accident on our 2nd night at the hotel and I have to say that the staff were very helpful to me and my husband, this was the positive in our stay. Location wise the hotel is just a bit too far away from the restaurants and bars, it's a good 10 mins walk across the beach/boardwalk and parts of it are not lit so a head torch is a must or as we did, walked out and got a taxi back. I enjoyed Kamala, it has a beautiful beach and we had some lovely meals and drinks out so would definitely go back but would not stay at the Novotel again. We booked an airport transfer 48 hours before we left for 6.30am, we decided to double check as the reception staff did not fill us with confidence and I'm very glad we did because they had no record of it! We were given an excuse of a "system error" but I'm sceptical to say the least. Reception staff are too easily distracted and do not concentrate at all on what they are doing. I can only think that 2 years shutdown has caused this, they need training back up to a decent level of customer service.…
We just reached the hotel and were having such a bad experience from the front office very rude staff one lady seems like a supervisor very very rude not helpful at all by the name of Aom and there was a young boy checking us inn not helpful since the main building is on maintenance and the other building is far away from the pool I don't recommend coming while the building is in maintenance and you have a family not advisable and they don't really care about your needs very disappointed I'm sad my 4 Yr old daughter gets to celebrate her birthday here I couldn't even request since they were so rude. Disappointing very disappointing not hospitable.
The Hotel was my 1st visit to Novotel & Kamala Beach area, Breakfast was excellent everything that any one could ask for & a added bonus fresh juice, don’t understand some comments about variety. The bedroom was a good size I was on the 4 th floor room 328 clean linen every day & 2 bottles of water every day I asked for more water & at no extra charge it was delivered. The Hotel has an app that you put on you’re phone to order on & message not to keep asking receptionist. The pool area was quite quiet but I think in high season the bed situation would be a challenge. I prefer the sea so easy access to beach. I had a few lunches but do prefer to try out local restaurants. Kamala will take quite a long time to recover from Covid as a lot of the beach area is not very maintained. The Hotel does need a bit of an upgrade but like all areas in Phuket high season & a lot of dropping of government restrictions will help. All staff at Hotel are extremely nice a beautiful greeting everyday & nothing is too much trouble. It is a quiet end of the Beach & for me I think I’m getting a little long in the tooth to have children around me so maybe adults only next time. Nice to talk to Australian Manager who took time to greet guests. Thank you Novotel.…
Hi, this may be a old hotel but it's good not great. Menu has a small selection and after 10 days you get bored. There is no entertainment to speak of. It would be great if the roof top bar had some music. If you want complete piece and quite this is the place to come. Doesn't really cater for the young at all. MY flight isn't till 10.30 pm and have to check out at 12. They wouldn't even let me shower in a vacant room without paying for a extra night, that's really sad. I never got this treatment in any of the Bali resorts. customer service meh ! I doubt that I'll be back.
We have booked Novotel Phuket Kamala for our Test & Go day 5 (we have stayed here for 7 days is was a good moment indeed!). Hotel : Located at Kamala beach (40 - 45 minutes from HKT Airport). and the hotel have direct access to Kamala beach. Room & Amenities : We have booked Pool Villa (606). Room are nice with a good view but rooms & hotel are need to renovation or refreshment because you can see the maintaining is very poor, i.e. the floor, side walk, color of the building, lights outside, gym area etc. Our bedroom is missing bed light corner. Size of the room are perfect, Pool area is missing small table as well. However, view from the room and pool is stunning! (there is coffee machine, fridge, slipper in the room). Bar & Restaurant : There is pool bar, roof top (open only in the evening) must try here before the sunset. And the restaurant (same area for breakfast & dinner) with sea view (outdoor & indoor). Same as mention as above all the bar & restaurant need to be refreshment but service here is very good and Thank you to "Khun Aon" for such a good service at the dinner time. Breakfast : not many choices (food is nearly the same everyday) - there is eggs station, Thai food corner (food nearly the same everyday i.e. Phuket noodle, fried vegetable, rice congee (pork or chicken is everyday) some fresh fruits etc. but the food is tasty! Reservation - reception & staffs : Thank you for your assistance & all information you have provided to us during our stay & before arrival. Is was very helpful. Tips : Pool villa or Family pool villa (2 bed room) are recommended!…
Clean hotel and friendly staff. Front desk was helpful in describing all I needed to do during my 7 day stay. Restaurant had good food. Was nice to have breakfast looking at the beach. In the evenings I spent most of my time at "The Roof' bar overlooking Kamala Beach. The barkeeper Nual was delight to talk with. She is funny and friendly for sure but always professional of her job. A+ To her! When I go back to Phuket I will be looking at staying her again. The only down side to this place is that it was a far walk to any shopping or city type sightseeing.
Stayed here for 16 nights in Januay. Right on the beach with great views. The staff are exceptionally well managed and trained as was evinced by the swift and courteous service levels that we experienced everywhere! The check in staff on the 18th of Jan were very helpful especially in relation to loading "covid apps"! The food in the restaurant was perfect, but as always you can get cheaper "on the beach and in the village", but the quality can not be faulted, nor the friendly smiling service. Of note as the "Thai Buffet" evening, great tastes at a grat price. Also not to be forgotten were the cocktails and sunset from the roof bar...Stunning! We had an issue with our electrics in the romm and the manager himself ensured that the fault was fixed safely and swiftly. The hotel itself could do with a little paint here and there, but in a tropical environment this is normal! We took several trips booked from the reception area which were fantastic and thr information supplied was "spot on". Finally the SPA is well worth a visit. Clean professional and soooo relaxing! Overall a really well run hotel in a great location and I have already recommended to others !!…
