We stayed in a pool suite room and the pool was way bigger than expected , would highly recommend this room to anyone travelling to Phuket. The water was so refreshing after a hot day in the sun. The bed was very comfortable , my boyfriend unfortunately got food poisining from an outside vendor but thoroughly enjoyed staying in the comfortable bed and looking out at the sea , special mention to the housekeeper who visited on Sunday the 14th , she asked to clean the room I explained my partner was very sick and it wasent needed as we wouldn’t be leaving the room, she went out of her way to ask did we need/want anything at all to help him out. The aircon was fantastic. Special mention to Zonya at the front desk in the villa lobby who booked us a complimentary trip to coral island on a catamaran it was a fantastic day. Also special mention iggy who works for club Wyndham , she is a lovely lady who’s fantastic at her job, unfortunately we were not in a position to sign up to club Wyndham as this was a once in a lifetime holiday for us. We went for dinner numerous times , the service and quality was great. There was a lady who served us on Sunday the 14th of April , we stayed in room 415, she was very welcoming , smily and great at her job. The service was great in every aspect of the hotel , room cleaning, room service , laundry etc…… I could not fault a thing about this hotel. If I am lucky enough to ever go back to Phuket I will be staying here again. The bar staff by the pool and night bar were so friendly too , unfortunately didn’t get their names.

The apartment with bathroom and terrace pool offered us a nice vacation. Attention was paid to the accessibility of the area by offering a transport service from the apartment to the services. The drivers were always friendly and helpful. The room cleaners also kept the rooms well cleaned and were always friendly when they visited.

We stayed here for 5 nights in July2023. We were expecting luxury at an American brand hotel; instead we got mediocre accommodations that did not match the room pictures. Instead of a light bright beautiful king bed room with ocean views, we were greeted by a dark, damp smelly room with peekaboo ocean views and mostly a view of trees and roofs. When I complained the staff tried to claim that’s “the way it is”. They finally moved me but only after I threatened to check out! But the move was to only a slightly better room one floor up with essentially the same “non-view” but more bright and less dank smelling. And they kept us waiting in limbo for the move, initially saying it would just be an hour but after 2 hours and several calls, I finally walked down to the front desk to move us ourselves. Only then did they provide bellman assistance and key to the new room. Also, if I didn’t like or accept the new room, I was told I was free to call my travel agent for further resolution! Really!? And to add insult to injury, when we were in the 1st room, a staff worker just opened our door while we were lying on the bed, no knock or anything! He immediately apologized and closed the door. REALLY!?! We prepaid for this room half a year ago, it’s our space, and this kind of intrusion is unacceptable.
And the food / drinks are overpriced here, walking distance nearby (very limited), and location is far from anyplace to get good cheap local food and services. Front desk is serviced by only TWO people for such a large property, and often only ONE person is serving, so there is often a wait of several minutes or more just to get simple requests or questions accommodated.
I am very disappointed by this property, especially at the price point charged here. I do not recommend staying here, you will be disappointed, especially if you are expecting a “Wyndham” level of hotel. This feels more like a local level hotel.

We have two lobbies for check, Building A & B with 60 rooms is at the welcome lobby and the other 150 rooms with pools are at the Villa Lobby. Yes the photos on our website have been done on sunny day and are much brighter with sunlight, and the current rain season is making the rooms and the view more dull. We deeply regret the intrusion you experienced when a staff worker entered your room without proper notification. We apologize for this lapse in our protocols and assure you that has been addressed with our team to prevent any recurrence. Your comfort and privacy are of utmost importance to us, and we apologize for any discomfort caused. We regret that our food and drink pricing did not meet your expectations. In walking distance there are 4 restaurants and 3 bars. The first across the road is Zenmaya with Zeascape, direction Patong is Salsa Mexicana (which has great Thai food too), Viewpoint cafe and direction Kamala there is Rom Sai restaurant all in short walking distance. Besides the Freedom bar and two Reggae bars. And yes street food and cheap local food have a different price but that is not comparable to a hotel dining experience. 우린 허니문으로 방문한 한국인 부부입니다. 우린 푸켓과 카오락을 방문했다. 카오락은 시골, 푸켓은 도시의 매력을 갖고 있는데 윈덤은 도시와 자연의 장점을 같이 느낄 수 있는 숙소다. 우선, 허니문 장식이 예뻤고 룸이 깨끗했다. 다만 탭워터가 한국보다 수질이 좋지 않아 양치는 생수로, 샤워는 개인 필터를 사용했다. 또한 호텔이 언덕에 있어 걸어서 메인로비와 빌라를 다니긴 어려웠다. 산책에 적합하지는 않음. 그러나 로비와의 이동도 편리했고, 어플로 문의하고 버기를 부르는 서비스도 편리했다.
무엇보다 강조하고 싶은 것은!!!!! 친절한 드라이버 '김치'씨다. 한국을 좋아하고 한국말을 잘하는 김치 씨 덕분에 만나는 순간마다 즐거웠고 행복했다. 여행은 행복하려고 가는거니까... 김치 씨에게 김치를 주지 못한게 아쉬웠다. 김치씨는 정말 정말 귀엽다.
레스토랑의 직원에게 툭툭이와 그랩에 대해 물었을때도 매우 친절히 대답해줬다. 그의 이름은 기억이 안나지만:) 직원들에기 친절도만큼은 최고. 여행의 행복을 안겨줘서 고맙다는 말을 하고싶다. 감동을 줘서 감사해요!
We visited Phuket and Kaorak. Caorak has the charm of the countryside, and Phuket has the charm of the city, while Wyndham is an accommodation where you can feel the advantages of the city and nature together. First of all, the honey moon decoration was pretty and the room was clean. However, tap water is not of better water quality than Korea, so I used bottled water for brushing my teeth and personal filter for taking a shower. Also, it was difficult to walk around the main lobby and the villa because the hotel was on a hill. It is not suitable for walking. However, it was convenient to move to the lobby, and the service of inquiring and calling the buggy through the app was also convenient.
The most important thing I want to emphasize is 'Kimchi' who is a kind driver. Thanks to you who likes Korea and speaks Korean well, every moment I met you, I was happy and happy. Traveling is to be happy... It was a pity that I could not give you kimchi. Mr Kimchi is sooooo cute.
When I asked the staff at the restaurant about tuk-tuk and grab, they answered very kindly. I don't remember his name, but his kindness to the staff is the best. I just want to say thank you for bringing me happiness in the trip.

We have had the most wonderful stay at Wyndham Grand Kalim Bay. Pond made us feel like the only two people in a busy restaurant her service was so special and attentive. The food is really good and the views from the restaurant over Patong bay is definitely worth the 15 minute drive up the hill from Patong central. The rooms are beautiful and well laid out so that they feel both open and private at the same time and staff made sure to leave us plenty of water in the room.

This our second stay here. Our last stay was before Covid and I was concerned that it wouldn't be as nice. Dominic and his staff exceeded our expectations. The resort itself was still beautiful and of a good standard, the rooms were lovely, we had a sea view, pool room which so lovely. They were renovating several rooms and although our room had not been renovated, it was still of a high standard. Although the hotel is on a steep hill getting around was no problem and only a short walk plus elevators to most to most areas, would not suit people with mobility problems. The staff were wonderful, we were greeted warmly at reception, with a cold drink and a welcome gift and they spent time, telling us about the resort. Our room was made up beautifully with rose petals on the bed, we felt so special. The management really want to make sure their guests are happy, we first met Van, the manager, while exploring the resort and were greeted warmly. At breakfast the next day Van was there and introduced us to the General Manager, Dominic, who was also keen to get to know us and help us make the most of our time their. We also met Ake, the Food and Beverage manager, he also extended a warm welcome to us, he seemed to be at the food outlets nearly all day and was always checking the our needs were being met. For the 5 days we were there, the managers were always visible around the resort, chatting to guests and also checking on the facilities. The food did not disappoint , we had planned to go into Patong for some meals but we ended up eating at the hotel, the quality was good and the prices reasonable. It is beautiful resort but what really stands out is the staff, from the management down, they really want to make the guest feel welcome and make sure their stay is enjoyable. This hotel isn’t five star. The concierge lobby has dirty upholstery and was dated giving an awful first impression. The hotel communal areas felt unloved, some not being furnished and lacking care. Food was average. They offer a shuttle bus for 50 baht, but this needed booking in advance and was often full. It took 45 minutes to get into Patong in traffic despite not being that far. Room was clean and had an iron and ironing boards. Some parts of the hotel seemed newer and in better condition, think the cheaper rooms were in an older part.

Please know we are continuously refurbishing all facilities and hope you had time to explore our deck pool and bar, thabtim, infiniti lobby bar and Latitude 98 plus our Wyndham Orchard. The shuttle service's operates from 10am to 8pm and yes with current traffic in high season the drive to Patong is taking time especially from mid afternoon. Zenmaya offers as well the shuttle to Kamala. Nestled on Kalim's serene hills, we offer tranquility yet proximity to Patong. TLDR: Stayed for 4 nights in January. Wyndham Grand in Phuket is a stunning property on a cliff with beautiful views of Kalim Bay. Fabulous service from very friendly staff. Perfect location if you want to spend a lot of time in Patong. However, minor signs of wear and tear, some logistics/communication issues and underwhelming dinner and lunch. Other than that, overall, had a wonderful time.
Highlights:
1. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, poolside and bar were amazing. They were super friendly and very helpful with big smiles on their faces. I especially want to thank the staff at breakfast and the Infinti bar. Breakfast was very good (large variety) and staff were quick with responding to requests, and happy hour cocktails made by the bartender were fantastic (and worth the price!).
2. One of the managers (Baloon) and his supervisor (Nocc) were very proactive and enterprising. We had a very last-minute booking change and they accommodated us immediately and without any hassle, which was greatly appreciated.
3. The facilities and the resort itself is well-maintained (though there is some wear and tear) and there are many many different viewing points. The deck pool is fabulous, and the bar and main restaurant are perfect for watching the sunset if it is a clear day.
4. The location is perfect if you want peace and quiet and also to be close to Patong. With traffic in the evening, it can take up to 25 minutes to get to central Patong, but it is honestly quite close to all the action and there are always taxis and tuk-tuks available. The hourly shuttle offered by the resort was great and very convenient.
5. The staff responded to requests through their app very quickly. You can request a lot of items i.e. adapter, bug spray etc all through the app and it is fulfilled quite fast.
Lowlights:
1. There was a miscommunication with our airport transfer booking twice. On the way to the hotel and on the way back, our request for a transfer was not properly recorded and we did not have a vehicle ready for us. This was inconvenient and caused delays both ways. However, on the way back to the airport, the supervisor (Nocc) arranged for a very nice and comfortable Mercedes in addition to a 20% discount which was very nice of him.
2. We ate dinner at the restaurant once and ordered room service for lunch once during our stay. Both meals were underwhelming compared to breakfast. Expected better quality.
Despite the above, my two friends and I had a great time at Wyndham Grand. Thank you very much, Nocc and team!

We are continuously renovating building by building which unfortunate during covid was not able to be done. This will include as well all our facilities. Our Executive chef has just started at the beginning of the month and his target number one was breakfast where there was a lot of changes and we see the rewarding positive feedback om the changes he has implemented. Next will be lunch and dinner a la carte before going to the individual outlets. An interesting culinary transformation is happening at our resort. This hotel is so quiet, which is good being away from Patong beach but only 5/10 mins drive away, which the hotel can provide on a shuttle bus.
We had an ocean view pool suite. The room was clean and spacious with a large bed, big shower, twin sinks, big bath and of course your own private pool! The pool however was on the cold side, and didn’t get much sun. We often opted for the pools on site, The Deck pool was smaller than the main pool but had a lovely view of the sea.
The staff were lovely, spoke good English. The gentleman running The Deck bar was very attentive.
The breakfast had a good selection and catered for everyone. The restaurant in the evening was very quiet, but the staff were sweet and the food was nice.
One thing we noticed was that parts of the hotel could do with a refurb, the tiles in the pool areas and shower desperately need re-grouting as a lot of this has fallen out. In the main pool, the in water seating had no tiles therefore it was unusable.
I would say this ‘5 star’ hotel would have been 5 stars 20 years ago but has become tired. There is a bit of a walk from your room to different areas of the hotel, sometimes uphill. But it was a pleasant stay.

Dear Khun Chloe A Appreciate your stay with us and your review. Our resort is beautiful nestled in the greenery on the hill of Kalim just outside of Patong, overlooking the Andaman Sea and Patong Bay. Close to visit Patong or Kamala 5- 10 minutes but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We have a shuttle bus from 10am to 8pm to Patong. Booking in advance is required and a ticket is THB 50 per seat per way. We are continuously repairing building by building as the Sea location and built on a hill requires high maintenance. Currently half of building O is back in the system and building P is currently fully closed for renovation from tiles, wooden floors, paint and ac. As soon this building comes back will go to the next... Please let us know when you are making your way back to Phuket and if I can be of any assistance for your next stay, please let me know. Dear Khun Amol,
The rooms are all non-smoking but when closed balcony door you can smoke on the balcony/terrace. At the restaurant Latitude 98 there is the left side of the terrace where there is a smoking section.

Pool Suite has no view of the Ocean.
Pool Suite Ocean View has the view but it is not Maldives Over water bungalow view. our resort is built on the hill of Kalim Bay and the houses are built above each other.

Greetings from Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay. No our resort does not have Kids Play area, kids club or kids entertainment. Our resort is not designed for kids, There are a lot of stairs up and down, build beautiful on the hill of Kalim, plenty of infinity pools and 10 to 15 minutes drive from the next beach.
There are plenty of hotels in Phuket which are geared at families.
