Very friendly staff, good location, clean and refurbished rooms. They have as well a steam room that works well. I can recommend this hotel to couples and families. The bonus is that they are truly pet-friendly!

We enjoyed our stay at the Pe La and would probably return but be warned that you don't get what they promise you. At the time we stayed their website promised a wonderful restaurant, a poolside bar and a courtesy bus into town but there were none of these. We arrived looking forward to a nice relaxing dinner with a glass of wine but there was no restaurant and no bar. We were sent to a bar across the road which was ok but not what we'd been looking forward to. When we complained to Hotels.com they insisted the bar & restaurant were open but they weren't - we had our breakfast in the 'restaurant' but it shut when breakfast finished. Breakfast was very pleasant but with very little choice. One day we wanted to use the courtesy bus to go into town but when we asked for it they wanted to know why we thought there was a courtesy bus and we showed them where it was promised on their website. To be fair it was removed from their website very quickly but the nonsense about their restaurant, staffed with the top chefs brought in from Bangkok, remained. We had a poolside villa which was exceptionally good and the resort was kept clean & tidy all the time. The staff were very helpful but very few of them spoke any English so if we had a question we had to wait until the right person came on duty. I haven't checked what's on their website now about the bar and restaurant but if, like us these are important to you then you'd better make enquiries before you book - however, as they didn't reply to the email we sent them a couple of days before we arrived that might be difficult.

Worst experience ever , we arrived at night there was no reception , just the security guard to hand over the keys , the wifi password provided was wrong and we tried contacting the whats app number provided for help and no reply , the air conditioning wasnt cold , and the electricity was cutting on and off throughout the night , we have booked for 6 nights and we couldnt just stay and left the next morning , we have asked for a refund , and they told us that since the booking was done through booking.com we have to contact booking .com , once we have contacted booking for compensation and refund we were told that the PELA resort has refused and we shall try contacting them directly , very dissapointed , our holiday was ruined because of them .

On arrival, we were allocated a room before the 2pm check in time for which were grateful. The staff helped us with luggage but we encountered a big problem in that works were being undertaken at the entrance to the block. The access was covered in wet cement and mud - it was messy, slippery and dangerous. To be fair, it was cleaned up once we'd complained. Despite the rocky start we enjoyed our stay. The suite was beautifully furnished, spacious and very clean and would have been comfortable for a long stay. The pool area is secluded and wasn't at all busy. The breakfast was acceptable but not great. Service and the friendliness was exceptional. The location isn't good. It's a good 10 mins walk and a busy road to cross to get to the beach area, but once there we loved the bars and restaurants that lined the sea front. There's a well stocked supermarket within 100m. The little bar across the road is well run by a lovely family - Nong's bar. Despite the issues noted, we would come back.

This is a beautiful resort, very clean, orderly, amazing staff and great service. There are however a few points. It is noisy, the road and bar across the road and the mosque close by is heard 24/7. Why not put in noise proof windows and this is solved. Some rooms have sun beds some don’t Either all have or none. Breakfast is a’la carte. It is ok, but staff is wasome. I would like to come back, just become staff and room is great. But really hope they fix the sound issue. Easy and cheap, sound proof windows for all facing the street.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff at the front desk have a very bad attitude. It was fine when I checked in. when I checked out, the clerk told me I could check out at 3 p.m. But when we went to check out they said they would charge us 1,000 baht, and I told them I wouldn't pay that because you didn't tell me. In the end I didn't, but they were very aggressive and wanted to charge $1,000. When we came back to leave, we couldn't go to the airport because of an accident on the early taxi reservation. My tour guide communicated with a man and a woman at the front desk. The woman's attitude was very bad, saying that the hotel did not have taxi service and would not help. I don't understand why this hotel has such high fees. Maybe it is because we are Chinese and they are racist. The others were fine, my guide said that the man seemed very embarrassed, he tried to help us take a taxi, but he didn't help us because the woman wouldn't let him. In the end, I really hated the hotel. It was my worst experience.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments. It was really a stunning apartment almost 5 star quality. Beautiful gardens and pool. This can be a very peaceful resort if you stay in one of the 1 bedroom villas or on the upper floor. Unfortunately the 2 bedroom villas bedroom windows are right on the road. And although it's a back road it was very busy. The windows on the room are not insulated and you can even see the gaps in between the glass and the windows. We could hardly sleep and some of us moved to the lounge to sleep there on the sofa bed. They did really try and solve the problem and were very helpful, and offered us free breakfast for the rest of the stay. Unfortunately I think this could be a major problem for people who prefer a quiet sleep in these rooms

The resort is quiet, has beautiful surroundings and is well maintained. very relaxing. The villa is spacious and clean. Comfortable Bed. The staff, friendly and courteous. Location is close to Patong but there was a landslide due to heavy rain and the direct route to Patong was cut off. So I travelled via an alternative road. I can see heavy machineries clearing the road. Hopefully it is already open now. All in, will definitely return to The Pe La! Special thanks to Joy for making my stay a memorable one. Khob Khun Khrup :)
