Such a great place to stay. Rooms are good & spacious, terrific views across the river and the gardens are a delight. The staff here are very attentive, nothing is too much trouble. The food is fabulous, probably the best we've had on our travels so far. The hotel is currently undergoing some changes, including a new swimming pool so when this is complete, this will be the best hotel on the Riverside.

I was visiting nepal with my mom for 3 weeks. After hiking for 12 days we wanted some relax time and go on safari, thats how we ended up in chitwan.
We picked this hotel because it was on the riverside and that was a good choice. Will sitting in the garden or by the swimmingpool you could spot the rhinos.
If that wasn't enough the hotel arrange a lot of excersions with 2 guides who speak english very well and have a lot of knowledge.
Also not onimportant, the room was spacious, clean and had comfortabele beds.
The staff has been so kind and friendly to us. Where taking the time to have a small chat or explaining all the festivals.
We had a blessed being in this green oasis. It was a perfect place with the kindest people. Thank you all!

Great place to stay, the AC works really well and the rooms are very comfy. It is quiet and there is a lot of wildlife (we saw a rhino twice across the river swimming, he stayed for a long time). The staff is great and Krishna was an excellent guide. The pool can be chilly and food is at Nepali standards. 5/5 easy.

Very helpful manager. Loved his calm demeanor as nothing was a problem and all concerns were dealt with efficiently. The swimming pool is amazing and clean and well maintained. Gardens are well kept. Perhaps more variety to the included breakfast would be good. They accommodated me and made me delicious cheese and onion pancakes. Great price and excellent location on the river.

Saw a crocodile at the opposite bank of the river from the riverside lounge. Nice and comfy rooms with AC and proper wardrobe. The resort makes you feel connected to nature.
The other morning we saw a deer who came to drink water in the river while going to breakfast lounge from the room.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package. Was not too bad at all. Location is fairly close tp the main street of Chitwan, 5min walk. The room was ok, normal Nepali hard bed, ok bathroom. The gardens were immaculate and very nice on a warm day. The riverside seating area was also tranquil. The food was passable, out of the 4 meals we had there only one was bad due to uncooked chicken. The soup entree was awesome though, full of garlic to stop the flu and bacteria. The highlight was the Staff, so friendly and helpful, especially during the planned off site activities such as the Tharu shpw, Elephant safari and nature walk, they are the main reason for 4 stars. If you can get it for the right price it's a great stay.

We stayed at the Chitwan Riverside Resort for two nights when visiting the Chitwan National Park. It was included in our travel pack (hotel, full pension, activities, ...) and the price was reasonable for what we received. The food at the hotel was decent and the staff was helpful.
Its location is definitely a plus because you get the chance to sit right next to the lake and watch the elephants walk by. Do keep in mind that Chitwan is a tropical area in Nepal, so be prepared for a whole lot of mosquitos. The hotel provides mosquito nets in the rooms but when you want to hang out in the garden, be sure to apply some Deet or another repellent.
Rooms were very clean and cosy and we also had a small balcony which overlooked the lake. We had a wonderful sunrise/sunset view!

We absolutely loved staying here
We were a bit put off at first by the hectic itinerary but there was lots and lots of time available to sit by the river, watching the elephants bathe, and to have a very relaxing time
Our guide was excellent. Very informative but not controlling - lets us do things at our pace
The restaurant staff were amazing and catered for our dietary needs
The hotel is being refurbished
We had one of the little cottages
The bathrooms had been updates with new taps, loo and basin - all very clean
The rooms were fairly clean and the beds were clean and comfy
The room had a fan and air-con
The gardens were immaculate and lots of staff were working very hard planting new plants and weeding
The chairs done by the river were our favourite place.... we could have easily have sat there for a whole week!

I booked a 3 day/2 night package for this hotel outside the park. We were a group of 7 people and the price ranged from 95 to 130 US per person (booked by different agents independently). The food was tasteless, partly greasy and without loving care prepared. My room was dark and everything was a bit moist, no view with hardly any day light. Other than that they were basic, fairly clean with TV (I didn't try if it worked), hot water and a mosquito net. The location is great though as it is directly at the river and there are nice quiet bars along the river. If booked separately the single rooms cost around 1000 Rs (= 10,- US or less) as stated in the lonely planet. Taking into consideration the remaining money from the package left for food and activities it is extremely expensive and for sure not worth it! The real activity lasted only 1,5 days! The entry fee for the park is also included, but I can't even say that I really was in the park. The Rhino was close to the river directly in the little town (so much for the wild life). The activities can also be arranged separately. It's definitely more your money worth it!
I have to admit that the location is nice and they arranged the transport. Other than that there were too many downsides to me. There are other nice places around (just across the street is a newly build hotel) for better value. The food and the service is also better at the restaurant next door and the view is the same. Taking everything into consideration I would choose another place next time or book the room separately.
