We have had several visits to Visala… always return for several reasons… 1. Fabulous staff.. the team at Visala are amazing.. always make us feel so very welcome! 2. Spacious rooms & recent renovations mean bathrooms have been upgraded. 3. Prices are very competitive 4. Within walking distance to beach, shops, bars etc.. or Bluebird cab to any other areas

This place is superb. You can’t beat the hospitality and the kindness of the staff and the owners. It’s clean and spacious with great wifi and lovely showers. I would have stayed longer but sure to circumstances out of my control we had to cut it short. This place has a lovely big pool and a kitchen where you can make what you want and free water dispenser. It’s centrally located in Seminyak/Bandung within walking distance to shopping beach and great places to eat. I highly recommend staying here. It has a beautiful roof top garden with a café and fantastic views of the sun set. I well definitely return. Let’s hope for the best and wish a swift return of tourists for this gorgeous place xx

Not only is the hotel on its own value for money, in a great location, etc. but the staff do truly go above and beyond like I have rarely seen. I have spent appox 5yrs of my life travelling for work and pleasure and this place is definitely in the top for hospitality. I enjoyed my stay so much I booked another five nights when I return to Bali in a month :)

this is nowhere near a 3 star hotel . no lifts and room was stained and dated. I would go as far as saying this would be suited to backpackers. pool is about the size of a bath, tv did not work, safe had batteries in it for power held in by Sellotape only good things about this hotel are the breakfast and the location avoid at all costs

If like us you are from the slightly older, but still fit and active group, this hotel is in a perfect location. Just off the main drag so much quieter but still close to bars and shops. Very peaceful, clean and great staff. We opted for an upgrade on room which meant we could sit out on an evening. Interesting walk to beach with enough smaller bars and shops to keep you going. They must have taken notice of reviews about massage as the message we had was the best we had at the resort. Perfect stay.

We stayed for 5 nights. The Visala is probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. The rooms were not very clean. The bedsheets, pillows and cushions were visibly unclean, a little smelly and I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't been cleaned after the last guests stayed in my room. The bathroom was dusty, mirror was grubby, shower pressure was terrible and the floors became flooded during showering which also wet the toilet seat. The water was either lukewarm or cold or hot for a short time and then cold/lukewarm then hot then cold again. The food was pretty average. The meals were very rich, oily and heavy and there were not many options to choose from. The menu didn't include any light meals or vegetarian or gluten free options that included protein. When the waiter served me a fresh fruit juice his finger went into my drink as he passed it to me. Which made me wonder if the rest of the meals were hygienically prepared. The hotel did not look the way it was presented in the website pictures. They advertised a bar but you couldn't order anything other than Bintang. There was something very strange in my friend's room which made us concerned and anxious about our safety. We were so concerned that she decided to move to another room and we decided not to raise it with management. The reason we felt unsafe is that we found a hole in one of the tiles in her bathroom (roughly the size of a 5c piece). The hole was positioned where it had a full view of the toilet and the shower. We suspected that it could have contained a camera as there appeared to be something in it when we investigated with a pair of tweezers. After she moved rooms we checked my room's bathroom and we found another hole the same size drilled into the vanity with a clear view of the shower and probably the toilet as you stood up to pull up your pants. There was no recording device when we found the hole but we had been there several days and after we found the one in her room I went to check mine and found 3 male staff members in there (tidying my room - why it took 3 men to clean a small room I do not know). Made me wonder if they saw the look on my face and removed something. After they left my room we discovered the hole in the vanity. We decided to keep staying at the hotel as we couldn't afford to change hotels but we both checked our rooms and bathrooms daily in case there was anything that shouldn't be there. We also double deadlocked and bolted our rooms every night. The pool had no atmosphere and the rooms were pretty noisy. The hotel was advertised on its website as being an adults only resort, however there were a few very noisy children staying there that meant on days when we wished to sleep in (not too late just until 8am) we were unable to due to the noise we could overhear in our rooms. My toilet become blocked 3 times during my stay. There was what appeared to be a stain on the roof caused by water damage from the room above mine. The hotel is located in an alleyway and none of the taxi drivers were able to find it very easily. As two female travellers we did not feel safe enough to venture out at night because the alleyway was pretty dodgy and poorly lit. I will never stay at The Visala ever again and I will not be recommending it to anybody. It did not make a very good first impression of Bali. Our experiences at the ruined our much anticipated holiday and we have travelled home more stressed than when we arrived. Not what we wanted or expected our holiday to be like.

We stayed at the Visala for three nights and loved every minute. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, our room was beautiful and so clean; and the pool was one of the nicest I've been in.
This hotel has a real charm and offers excellent value for money. Especially with the yummy breakfast overlooking lovely Seminyak. (Seninyak is also a wonderful spot in Bali with lots to offer with less hustle and bustle than other nearby areas)
I hope to stay at the Visala again soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
