The Dipan is like no other, i'm telling you, you'll feel like you're in some sort of rain forest. My girlfriend and i got a villa and had a private pool. For the price it's very worth it, don't think twice about the place. The service is phenomenal, and the were genuine with us, provided us with everything we needed and the cleanliness was on point.

My husband and I stayed here during April 2014. We got the airport pick up from the hotel which cost $30US. It is important to note this is at least 50% higher than if you get a metered taxi from the road.. it only cost us $15 to get back not using the hotel.
We got an amazing room superior room with beautiful bed, bathroom, breakfast.. it was very large and very clean..equiped with all amenities. However we arrived at night and the day before a public holiday. The taxi told us this is good as there is construction and no one will be working the next day so no noise. We did not know this beforehand and soon realised that by early morning there were all sorts of construction and noise next door.. We could not sleep and worse because there is only one window in the room you can't open the window to get natural light as the builders can see right into your room..its so close and so noisy and they work late into the night and early morning to avoid the heat. Despite the noise the hotel staff were lovely and delivered breakfast which was delicious to our room every morning. We loved the hotel, staff and the location is perfect for potato head, the square etc. but it is under construction and a lot of noise. If you are prepared for this and can sleep through loud noise… Then you will love it!

Just arrived home after our stay in Bali. We stayed at the Dipan Resort for 3 nights for my birthday. My friend emailed Dipan before we arrived to tell them it was my birthday and they organised a message written in flower petals on my bed as well as a personalised card on arrival. On my actual birthday they surprised me with a birthday cake and all the staff singing happy birthday. It made my first birthday away from home very special. The hotel itself is lovely, the room had high ceilings and was very spacious and clean. The pool was definitely the highlight of the hotel, a quiet little oasis in the centre of Seminyak. Will definitely recommend to friends and family going to Seminyak and we will be back again.

Dear , Ms. Mia pty Thank you for spent your value time to share your Bali Holiday's with us at The Dipan Resort Bali, here at Trip advisor.com. Personalize service is our aim for every single guest stay with us and we keep improving our standard service toward it , without interrupting much our guest privacy . Part of it , we also politely ask all of our guest at their convenient time during their stay with us to have a light chat of discussion on how we could improve our service quality from their point of view . Like you have mentioned , our reception knows every single guest who have a special day during their stay with us specially birthday , anniversary , honeymoon etc so we could do a little personalize touch for them to make them feel special , even some time the guest it self did not know their special day was by that time , then they very touched , crying and very happy . Basically we treat all our guest as a Rock Star . Thank you that you said the hotel itself is lovely, the room had high ceilings and was very spacious and clean, Our Public pool is the highlight of the hotel, a quiet little oasis in the center of Seminyak. We delighted to learn that you and your friends will definitely recommend to friends and family going to Seminyak and stay with us at The Dipan . We are looking forward to see you again in the near future. Best Regards, I Ketut Wirya

Stayed in a suite on the 2:nd floor for more than 1 week.

âž•Charming pool area with a cosy gazebo, helpful staff, clean rooms.

âž– The rooms and property need some love & maintenance, the breakfast could easily be improved with some more healthy fresh alternatives.

PS. Turned out I’m personally not a big fan of Seminyak. Has nothing to do with the hotel though.

The comments and feedback are all correct. Staff are friendly, food is nice, place is clean and safe. Except...

There is a famous and popular club/disco (not within The Dipan) right next door. On Friday and Saturday night while we were here, loud thumping noises can be heard throu the walls all night long until 3-4am. I'm not the particularly sensitive type, and can sleep through most situations. But this noise is quite too much. It's like a party going on right in the next room with the sound system on full blast. You can hear the lyrics and identify the songs quite clearly. Now it's going "I believe in miracles, you sexay thing!"... Unsure how the neighbourhood can tolerate this.

To be fair, The Dipan did leave a note in the room preparing us about the expected noise, and provided extra ear plugs on the night stand. There is also an invitation to visit the club free of charge, which I didnt go. Perhaps, other rooms or villas are better shielded from the noise and not affected as much. But the disco guests must be deaf by now.

All in, it's comfortable, clean, friendly and cosy. Perfect place to relax in this area. But "quiet" isn't exactly how I'd describe it, especially if you get a room near the club next door on a Friday & Saturday night. I'm sorry Dipan, not that you want it this way either.

Dear, Viewer Thank you for spent your time to share your review on the Trip Advisor. Internally The Dipan is perfect in all circumstances and only a temporary short term noise from the construction which will be finished pretty soon and soon after it's done will be raise up the area become a high end later on. Seminyak at present time are massively constructed every where as this area is the most prime location and selected as number one tourist destination in Bali, so where ever you stay in Seminyak area there is a construction happening around . Yes , 3 of our suite rooms are interfere by the loud music of Huu Bar but it is only on Friday and Saturday , other than that we are just within the tranquility with a personalized service among our guest. What we do from the beginning is to accommodate young people who loves the party in that rooms but some time just because of a very high demand of our property the rooms also booked but we always let the guest know what going to happen on Friday and Saturday night by offering them free tickets to joint the party and also provide ear plug . We predict in the short future Alila Hotel which also located in the same situation with us will be accomplished and also Huu residence will be open too , the Bar should be minimized the party and the noise . Again thank you for your value review and we are looking forward to having you stay with us after all the noise is gone. Best Regards, I Ketut Wirya

We recently stayed 6 nights at The Dipan. We chose this hotel due to the location and price point compared with the larger hotels in the same area, keeping in mind that we would spend most of our time outdoors and exploring.

We were most pleased with this hotel, in particular the staff!!!! We had $100au of our money stolen by a dodgey money exchanger and when informing The Dipan staff purely so that no one else would go to this area to exchange money, they insisted we go back to this money exchanger with their security guard to get our money back... And we did! They are such friendly people willing to please.

Last but not least it was my partners birthday and when I had requested a few flower petals on the bed the staff were more than happy to do so. On top of this the entire staff who were on that day knocked on our door and sung happy birthday with a cake sent from a friend in Aus!! You cannot get this type of service and boutique touch in the larger hotels.

Will definitely be staying here again!

My girlfriend and I spent a great 12 days at the Dipan Resort in a one bedroom villa.

Pros:
The staff were great and the room was kept clean. The location is great and close enough to everything especially W and Potato Head Bars, the beach and shops. Food is great in the hotel. The breakfast is great and huge with extensive options. The spa is great. Main pool area is great although it is hard to justify going out when you are in the self contained villas with your own pool.

Cons:
We stayed over a couple of weekends and there was some noise on the Saturday nights but nothing too much to worry about unless you are a light sleeper. The Wi-Fi needs some strength boosting in the room but is fine when used in the dining area.

Would certainly stay again and recommend to friends.

I stayed with my girlfriend on Saturday 19 January 2013.

It started of fantastic, the staff are amazing, a perfect tasting lemongrass drink when I arrived, and I could hire a motorbike with my creditcard when i payed for the hotel and not have to barter or deal with outside as the price was very reasonable.

It was a little bit confusing paying upfront for the hotel when we arrived but did so anyways. I stayed in a room in the main building (not the villa) that was on level 1 of the building furthest north-east.

The fittings in the room are amazing, so is the bed, bathroom, hot water etc. The swimming pool is fantastic, albeit a little small, but perfect temperature and like an oasis. They were also very accommodating for us in the morning when we left because we had an early flight and cook came in early to cook us breakfast which was great.

BUT, the biggest problem. Hu'u bar was literally 20 metres from our hotel room, and the music was totally pumping from 10pm to 3am. The music was so loud that I couldn't sleep at all, despite wearing the complementary earbuds. Upon reading some reviews, I found that the manager had responded to complaints on tripadvisors saying that they only put younger people in the rooms closest to the bar, and that they also offer them free entry into the bar.

At no point did they ever offer us entry to Hu'u (I am 22 and my girlfriend is 21) and it was frustrating to read reviews about what they did to remedy this problem and to discover that nearly none of it was true.

tl;dr - it's a fantastic hotel, but don't bother staying here any night which Hu'u is open (Friday and Saturday)

Dear, Reviewer Thank you for your complements regarding our staff and our product , we were investing a lot of efforts and involved the expertise in building our business in order to be up date at market place. And Thank you to remind us regarding the free tickets / vouchers to attend the event at our neighbor Huu Bar, as our existing affiliation agreement with them is to offer us 6 tickets for our guest in every event they hold , normally on Friday or Saturday ( twice a month ) but they also held a regular party which also held every Friday and Saturday which is end up before mid night and they did not give us any vouchers for this kind of event. the idea of yours is very valuable for us to consider and we will soon arrange a meeting with the boss of Huu bar to provide us a Complimentary entering Tickets for all of our guests in every party ( regular or special event ). Once again thank you very much for the complements and the bright idea regarding the free entrance tickets to Huu Bar. Best Regards, I Ketut Wirya General Manager

I have been to Bali 12 times and always like to stay at different properties around the Island. I stayed at the Dipan for 3 nights in October. My choice was based on reviews on Trip Advisor.

The staff were delightful, the property is extremely clean and tidy and the treatments I had at the onsite spa were very reasonably priced and of a high quality. The property if very well situated as other reviewers have commented on. The couple of meals I had at the restaurant were excellent and not your normal Bali fair.

Despite my positive comments there are a number of negatives that I feel people should be aware of so you can make an informed decision as to whether you should make a booking at the Dipan or not.

I was booked into Suite 126, what a disappointment! It was not a Suite at all but turned out to be nothing more than a motel room with nice soft furnishings.

There was no balcony or any access to outside which is something very unusual in a property in Bali. I made comment of this to the Manager when I met him next morning. He did to his credit offer to upgrade me to a one bedroom villa but could not as they were fully booked.

The view from the room was not one of swaying palms and tropical gardens, sadly it was of the roof of the villas next door and a vacant lot.

The 'suite' overlooked the pool area of two of the villas. Luckily during my stay the guests in the overlooked villas did not decide to get "frisky" around their private pools because I can assure you the pools are in clear view of guests in 'suite' 126.

The ensuite was huge however there is a lack of bench space which necessitated me having to store my toiletries on the floor in the bathroom. There are also no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels.

The hot water supply is questionable so I did not even bother to have a bath in the amazing bathtub ( note a number of other reviewers have commented on the water situation). It took approximately 5 minutes of running the shower ( which is a terrible waste of water) before the hot water kicked in. This resulted in 3 days of cold showers!

The Dipan is near a construction site so do not expect to sleep in - the generator and power tools start up at 0600.

As is typically of a lot of hotels in Asia the bed was bordering on rock hard.

The main pool area is very small and there are only three sunbeds.

This property did not meet my expectations and I would never stay there again.

Dear Guest Thank you for your review that you shared at Trip Advisor. We are a small hotel in a small size of land in a very premium area which only has 7 suite rooms and 7 villas for time being and we will soon accomplish our phase two in the near future. Seminyak is the most popular tourist destination in the island and consider as a high end tourist spot where most of high quality shops , restaurants and hotels are located in this premium area and where ever we go in this area we will see the construction massively happen . How ever , We are keep moving on go over one by one of the comments given by our value guest specially the complains and suggestions . Even we know to pleased every one is impossible but for us the more comments is the better and we believe we will grow to a perfection from there to hit our goal. The Dipan designed for a comfortable and conveniences , our philosophy is our guest satisfactions come first before our rule and regulation and the way we serve our guest is much more important than what we serve. Once again your comments and suggestions is very important for us and thank you very much for it and we guarantee you will see our magnificent progressed when you come back to stay with us next time . When we first checked in, we have a high expectation of this hotel due to our previous stay at Novotel Nusa Dua and been looking at Dipan's at the accommodation websearch.
Because we're traveling with a toddler we want a place with amenities and also a good space.
We booked dipan through booking.com got a good deal and we booked for a suite room. when we arrived, we were so shock that they took us to second floor through a small and dodgy staircase without a handle. we have a toddler with us and didnt really want to go up without lift with all our stuff. when we got to the room, we had another suprise, the room was so small. I wouldnt really say that a "suite" . Because of this few hiccups in the beginning I asked the staff if we could upgrade our room to one of the villa. They kindly offered us twice the rate of what we're paying for our suite (1 bedroom villa to be US$165/night ). I asked if we can cancel the booking, they said No, so we have no choice but to upgrade our accomodation as we felt claustrophobic on that room and would not be able to stay there for 3 nights.
After checking in the villas, first thing we noticed is that we can feel the dusk on our feet. please remember that this place is only 50% finished and that construction is still going. But they mop the floor the next day.
when I made the booking to this hotel I checked the amenities that they say its available to the hotel, as those thing that influenced me to choose the place that I booked.
According to the information that they provide, they have tea/coffee maker ready in the villa however, when we asked for a electric kettle because my two yo needs to makes her bottle they said that they only has 1 , and its being used with other guest. I was fuming. I did not choose to stay and pay a lot for a villa but not to find these basic necessities available for us.
After complaining and wrote an email to the manager, they were able to provide us with a small 500 ml, electric kettle.
Although the staff was helpful and polite, they still lack of a good understanding of English. we had to explain what we wanted over and over again coz they didnt understand.
breakfast was ok, we ordered big breakfast as it was not a buffet breakfast and they charged us for extra food we ordered but its okey, as they were not expensive.
Also due to the pool in the villa, there was also lots of big mosquitoes!
overall, they still need to improves their human resources and they'll have a good potential stay in seminyak, although they will not be on the same level as W hotel. They dont even provide us with glasses to drink, or cups to drink tea/coffee in the room. These basic and small things , that is always available on every hotel we stayed, but not here.. I dont think that we will be returning to this place. No Thanks
