Visited with five friends and we all loved this place! Great location overlooking the sea below. It’s a family owned spot and the family are all lovely and so helpful. They also all speak great English. Rooms were spacious and each comes with a terrace. Swimming pool is large and central. Would definitely visit again :)

We were very impressed by the quality of the villas at Abasan for the price we paid. Strong air conditioner, good water pressure in the showers and newly built. To top it off, it has a beautiful view, amazing infinity pool, delicious food (we loved the pizzas and mie goreng) and relaxing massage service. I also love the convenience of being able to book for tours which they have curated for us personally at the best prices. Standout was the snorkeling tour, being whisked away on our own private boat and the driving tour of the island by Made. We had luggage so took a taxi for 100k to get to abasan. Once we offloaded the luggage, it’s much quicker to get to the ferry port on foot by going downhill to the water, then turn right for short walking track. The hotel staff were really kind and took us down to the water via a 2min scooter ride and picked us up when we called.

Easily, no contest! We stayed in Sundi Ocean Bungalow, but we ate our dinner every night in Abasan's reastaurant. The food is just lovely, those guys really can cook, 10/10 all the time. Great staff, great view, great food, great drinks - what else do you need? Try it!

Great place to stay: very friendly and helpful staff, nice view, clean rooms, good food, great pool, wonderfully quiet, all in all a nice place. Two points of improvement I personally recommend: 1. bed sheets - once climbing into bed, I realised there was already sand in the bed and the sheets seemed to have been used once before, better to have had new sheets. 2. An exhaust in the bathroom would do a lot of good, no air circulation in the bathroom. The staff were super super friendly, the pool was great, we really enjoyed our stay there, I do recommend it to other guests. Just note it’s a bit out of the busier bustle, in the evening by motorbike you can get around, but there are no streetlights at night. Best to be comfortable on the bike at night, otherwise just rent a car or enjoy one of the restaurants just around the corner. There’s a fancy restaurant which has a stunning view, one simple friendly warung and a convenient little shop w water, etc right across from the hotel. Lovely place, do enjoy your stay there!

Had booked at a nearby bungalow hotel which, when I arrived, was not at all as it appeared on the booking site . Felt very disappointed so went for a walk to the beach which the bungalow staff told me was nearby . It wasn’t - but on my walk I found this amazing retreat . At first I was attracted by the lovely piano music coming from the restaurant . So decided to have some lunch and think about my accommodation options . Sitting in the restaurant of Abasan Hill, overlooking the tropical jungle and the infinity pool, it was easy to make the decision to stay here . I went back to the bungalow where to be honest the staff were very nice and told them I couldn’t stay there. I collected my bag and trudged down the dusty road to Abasan Hill looking for all the world like Shirley Valentine dragging her case along that beach in Greece! Abadan Hill is small and so relaxing I had to extend my stay. The rooms are spacious and all overlook the infinity pool . The bed was super comfortable snd the bedlinen very soft. The owner was very friendly and really knows what he’s doing to run a welcoming, spotlessly clean and relaxing hotel . I took advantage of this spa and had a wonderful facial which made me look 10 years younger! They have a happy hour on drinks in the infinity pool with a swim up bar. Unfortunately being on antibiotics I couldn’t take advantage of the ones with alcohol but the mocktails but equally as delicious . If you’re looking for a very chilled, sophisticated place away from the crowds & reasonably priced I can thoroughly recommend the Abasan Hill. If you book directly they will give you a good deal.
