I really appreciate the way that every hotel employee that I met was courteous, helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotless and house keeping was dependable and efficient. The breakfast was hot and delicious and always served with fresh fruit and coffee. I had the added benefit of having Uncle Sam as my licensed tour guide for 4 days. Sam was extremely knowledgeable and the history and culture of the temples including Koh Ker pyramid. I am a person with a disability and Sam went above and beyond making sure the every step I took was always the easiest and safest path. Special thanks goes out to Chorn Sokha Sokha my dependable tuk tuk driver. He was very kind and always had a great sense of humor which I appreciated everyday. There was nothing that I didn't like about stay and so many reasons to stay here again. Thank you to everyone at Uncle Sams Villa.…
Uncle Sam’s is a clean and comfortable guest house for a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay here! The real jewel is Kha, the resident tuk tuk driver. He is such a friendly and genuine guy, we really enjoyed our time with him and his friends. Not only did he take us around town and to the temples but we also shared many beers good conversation with him and his mates in their free time. Thanks Kha and the Uncle Sam family!
Great little hotel. Rooms are good. Everything you need on the room. Good airco. Coffee and tea maker. Cheap breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Excellent value for money. Close to pubstreet but no noise problems. Kha, tuktuk driver, took me to Angkor Wat for tour. He was great!
Picked up from airport by theor. He is a wonderful human, knowledgeable, caring and honest. Uncle sams is close to everything. Pub street and the market is around the corner, rooms are clean and spacious with grouse paintings on the walls.Perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
We was stayed 2 nights with my family and very comfortable triple bed and twin bed room with reasonable prices. The location is in about near by the old market and about 100 meter from the Pub Street.
We stayed 6 nights and were very comfortable. Our room was spotless and the staff was very helpful. Great location , close to everything yet quiet. Loved being near the river. We had an excellent driver, Chanveasna. He was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable. His English was very good. I would highly recommend him, if you want a tuk tuk driver for the temples or outings.
This is a very good hotel, very clean and with a good personel. Their driver Chanveasna drove us really well all accross town for a very decent price. The breakfast was also very decent, with eggs, fruits and tea (avoid the coffee however) Would definitely recommend it!
It was a nice enough place. Staff were cordial. The only downside i can speak to was they made m son change rooms twice. and the change was to a simailiar od better room. Go figure. Breakfast is decent and speedily served.
I think it's important to keep your expectations low for this place (and to be fair, the price per night is quite low) - I came with high expectations due to the very positive reviews and left quite disappointed. The bed is very hard and the chemicals they use for cleaning leave a strange smell. The room also looks nothing like in the photos. They also charged me for a water bottle but didn't bother giving me the 2 free bottles that are supposed to come with each night's stay on my last night. On the positive side the location is great. Staff is very helpful.
Our room was well-eqipped and spotlessly clean. The hotel is between 3-5 minute walk to Pub Street. Despite its proximity to conveniences, it's very quiet. Staff is attentive and cordial. It's located in a little alley. We always felt safe when we walked to and from Pub Street in the evening.
