Our family of 9 including parents and teenagers and younger children stayed here for four nights for one of the most incredible vacations in our lives. The villa itself is housed in a beautiful building near the quintessential Tuscan town of Cortona. Frankly once you arrive at

Lovely location with beautiful views from each room. Perfect location to visit surrounding towns of Cortona,Montepuliciano, and vineyards. Staff is most cordial and helpful in arranging a variety of options. Highly recommend for a memory filled trip.

When the manager of the hotel in which we originally planned to stay reported it couldn’t accommodate us, she referred us to Villa di Piazzano. It was the most fortunate of turns in our trip. The setting is essential Tuscany. After turning from the road through Pergo, you

I picked up a car in Rome and drove north stopping in Civita di Bagnaregio, going past Orvieto. Can't remember the autostrada name but it took us up the west side of the lake and up around to the hotel. Pretty easy and direct route. Hope this helps.

Nearest airport is in Perugia if you can get a flight into it, then pick up a rental car. It's a smaller airport, however, so the flights may be limited. Alternative is flying into Florence, which is the nearest major airport, and either renting a car in Florence and driving down, or catching a train from Florence down south and picking up a rental car in a town such as Sienna.

I think florence airport would be the closest and its about 1 and a half hour drive. We arrived into roma cruise terminal and with the help of google satnav on my phone we followed instructions which wasnt as hard as we imagined but it may be worth emailing the hotel. Perhaps they could arrange a transfer or even tell you where you can take the train to so they can pick you up at the nearest train station. While you are there i highly recommend a vist to the little hilltop village of cortona too ... the little shops and restaurants are lovely and its only around 10 minutes drive if you have a car or you could ask the concierge about arranging a transfer there too. They are so helpful and lovely. I hope you get to go ... it really is a lovely place 😊

I do remember seeing a laundry bag in the wardrobe with a list of prices per item.
