Detailed Reviews
Stayed in a delux ger, which was fantastic! Beautifully designed and decorated, kitted out with everything a good hotel room would need, incl. en-suit bathroom, even a private patio with garden furniture. We are seasoned travellers, spent the previous two weeks travelling around Mongolia, staying in simple ger camps. To mark the end of a great trip, we longed for a bit of luxury.. RedRock Resort is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for! Or so we thought.. For dinner we ordered a two-course in the Anar restaurant, waited over an hour when finally our starters and main dishes were served all at once, lukewarm. We realised that the kitchen was under pressure due to serving a large group. So to avoid that the next morning, we went for breakfast after the crowd, at half 9 (officially breakfast is until 10). Unfortunately we were greeted with empty dishes at the buffet stand, heater dishes switched off. The staff reacted with indifference when we asked for some milk for our cereal and coffee and a bit of egg, shrugged the shoulders and simply said no. When checking with the receptionist (in case we got the breakfast times wrong) we were told some milk and eggs will be served to us. However, only some milk arrived in the next 10 mins, we then left hungry and annoyed.
RedRock has every potential, shame about the poor service in the restaurant.

Probably the best luxury ger in the area. Heated floor, shower with big enough boiler capacity for 4 ppl, satellite TV, fast wifi and new furnishings. Linens are clean and the bed is pretty wide, lots of places to hang your jackets and whatnots
Wifi range is pretty far surprisingly. I went up the hill at the back of the ger for some astrophotography and to my surprise the wifi still works pretty well at the hilltop
I do encounter a few minor downsides during my stay. The ger became very hot and it wasnt clear how to operate the thermostat so I end up having to switch one of the heater off. They could also swipe the ger better for dried dead flies, there were a few in the corners of the room.
The restaurant is mediocre at best but at least there are some mongolian dishes and some western options. Breakfast was just basic. I didnt get to use their other facilities as most of it are outdoors and it was too cold to play outside

If you ever find yourself stuck in the Terelj area of Mongolia visit this restaurant at least once. I think it is fine to stay here and dine here as it is a hotel but to just eat here would be a huge mistake. Although the food was above average it took almost about 2 hours to get my food. I ordered a simple burrito with fries and it took that long to make and it didn't even taste that good.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Although some fittings and carpets are showing some signs of tiredness, I cannot fault the fabulous staff.
The lady manager at reception and the young man in the restaurant were so very helpful at all times and their service was great. They are an asset to Red Rock

Stayed for 5 nights. The resort was great. Lucky Penny restaurant is best deal in town. The staff at the resort could not have been more accommodating. Plenty to do but not as crazy as the strip. Located across the street from a great shopping area, close to baseball stadium.

We had a midweek stay here for two nights in the Kazakh-style tsomsogt gers. The beds were very comfortable with warm duvets and substantial pillows. There was good lighting and a refrigerator and kettle in each ger.
Each ger also had a well furnished sun terrace for outdoor seating to enjoy the views. The outdoor sports/play facilities were excellent enabling volleyball, basketball and football to be played safely. There was also young children’s climbing apparatus and a trampoline.
The restaurant facilities were very comfortable. The menu offered a few good choices though not much for vegetarians.
Red Rock Resort is one of the best accommodation options in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. I would stay here again.

Stayed at Red Rock on 3rd/4th August 2019. Having stayed at other camps within Terelj National Park previously, i have to say that Red Rock is by far and away the best camp for a foreign tourist, its just the right balance between Mongolian culture and Western luxury. I stayed in a Luxury Ger, after having previously stayed in a traditional ger i wasn't expecting too much however my trepidation was quickly overcome with pure joy as i opened the door to the ger to find see that the luxury ger was indeed a luxury ger with a super comfortable double bed, 43 inch tv, fridge, safety deposit box, fully equipped bathroom with toilet and a superb shower which had full on hot water. The wifi was also great, i brought my Amazon Firestick and plugged it into the TV to watch some Netflix and it worked perfect (sad but true...)
The resort itself is excellent with great sport facilities and an excellent children's soft play area. We played volleyball and football on the astroturf surface for several hours which was fantastic, the scenery is just stunning. The clubhouse is also spotless and extremely modern, breakfast was included in the stay and was also very good.
I will definitely return to this resort, by far and away my best experience with a ger in the 10 years i've been living in Mongolia
Highly recommended

A hotel in the Ghorki Terelj National park. In this park there is very much accommodation so the park is less attractive. In the hotel you can choose for a ger or luxe-ger or a room. The rooms are clean and fine. They have even a tennis court, basket court etc. Food and breakfast are OK: price is in Mongolian terms rather high. Best is them to contact by mail or website. Friendly and English speaking staff.

My organization held a three day team meeting here with 25 of my colleagues from both UB and other international offices. I have only good things to say about my experience at Red Rock and would go there again for sure. First, this was a great location: less than 1 hour from UB with wonderful facilities and a great staff. The meeting rooms were comfortable. The meals and breaks - delicious. May and her team were friendly and responsive to requests. I enjoyed the fitness (machines and free weights) and yoga rooms. We took an afternoon break to visit Terelj NP. Another day, we hiked to the hilltop to take in the amazing views. We even let some steam off at night in one of the onsite karaoke and ping-pong rooms. It was a great balance to tent camping that followed this event (when we went to visit some of the herding work we were doing). Red Rock had it all to make it both a great personal stay and company event. Funny story, I was woken up early one morning because I have my balcony door and windows open and a herd of horses came grazing through the main compound.
