I stayed here for (thankfully) just one night. Frighteningly narrow cramped corridors, room was like a youth hostel and all you could hear was foul language from the pub guests below. I looked at the self service breakfast but decided looking at it was as far as I dared, eating it was not an option. Dreadful pub, rooms are even worse, bulldoze the place as it's in such bad repair it could never be nice

Having a room above a noisy bat which partied until midnight, when other guests moved into the room next door separated by a paper thin walls, does not bode for a good review. I should have just driven by and slept in the car, I would definitely have rested better. For reference, there is no Internet, no WiFi, patrons vape, the mattress is as old as the property. Friendly staff.

I booked a single room for four nights. I was informed the room faced a busy road and I knew it was a pub. Friendly welcome by Mark, and staff nice. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Nice decor, clean towels each day, toilet rolls and tea/coffee replenished. Nice touch with a box of tissues. My downsides were... bed not really made each day nor bathroom cleaned properly, but I do believe Mark was on his own. Also it would be better to have some nets at the window, especially for a female staying there. It seemed a friendly busy pub, although I didn't eat there the menu looked varied and reasonable.

Pretty disgusted at the community spirit on Thursday night. My husband was stranded in the snow and needed a place to harbour from the cold for the night. Caught short with no supplies he came to ask for a room. He was turnt away having been told the rooms had not been cleaned. He offered to clean the room hiself or was happy just to be able to shelter in the bar etc. Still he was turnt away. He had to spend the night in his truck with the curtains wrapped around him in minus conditions! Utterly appauling lack of hospitality!!!
