Arrived early and room was ready. Good shower, comfortable bed and delicious evening meal. I’m guessing the lady owner was Dot and she has certainly found her niche in hospitality - such a welcoming hostess who worked her socks off serving customers on a busy Saturday night live music event. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you.

Been here several times for lunches. Always excellent with quality soup. Friendly, personal service, lovely grounds, tucked away on the east side of Gainsborough. Looked at one typical bedroom - had the wow factor. To be highly recommended.

We booked 2 rooms and had an upgrade so they were close together. Very comfortable and clean. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Had delicious dinner following very interesting chat with the chef. Breakfast also very good - very generous portions and freshly cooked. Would thoroughly recommend.

A warm welcome on our arrival was followed by the keys to the Hickman room. Everything was there from a fluffy bathrobes, an amazing shower and a very comfortable four poster bed. The bar had an excellent selection of gin and it was wonderful to sit in the garden on such a lovely evening. The restaurant offered a great selection of dishes, I had the beef cheek and it was well presented and very tasty. The breakfast selection included bacon and sausage sourced locally and again it was a delight. We had a two night stay and will definitely return when in Gainsborough.
