World-class resort and if I'd imagine what a luxury resort at a tropical island should look like, then this is what it should be. Location is truly paradise, one of Thailand’s best natural sceneries. Visitors from Phuket take daytime boat trips and make for a nice vibe on the beaches in the afternoon but never over-crowded. Last boats are late afternoon and so the mornings and evenings the entire island belongs almost exclusively to the guests of the Racha. This resort is doing a superb job at tranquility, exclusivity, harmony with nature. There is peace, harmony, nature, great people in both the other Guests and the Staff who are all friendly and helpful, thoughtful and polite, personal service. At the Racha everyone is treated as privileged, respected, welcomed. Excellent! The suites and all the public facilities are all very well done, everything is just right, home away from home, nothing is too small or too big, too close or too far, too little or too much. Pure convenience. Cars and motorbikes are banned from this island, wonderful, safe & silent, and everything is in walking distance. Great outdoor private pool also inside the suite. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant at the Racha, great staff and service, upscale setting, great Thai food, amazing sea views. The breakfast variety and quality is bang on just right for this setting and a nice setup, it's all there. The beach bar with terrace is perfect for drinks under the trees. The outdoor infinity swimming pool is excellent and so is the library lounge, great places to hang for a break. Activities are plentiful including diving, snorkeling, canoeing, or take a Muay Thai class on the beach. We also did a treatment at the Spa of course, topnotch massages. The beaches are scenic and second to none in the world, and, without the crowds… White sand, clear water, coral, and fish! There are original forests, tropical jungle, great for a morning stroll. Tips: 1. Sunset view with sunset cocktails at 18:30 from the Racha's own beach, or bar, or the outdoor pool. 2. A 10-minute morning walk to the island’s other nice beach, Siam Beach, go before 8 am to find yourself alone on this paradise-like beach. 3. The resort has a few Monitor Dragons, beautiful and harmless (not to be mistaken for Komodo Dragons), and they make for an awesome sight. They shy away from people but if you walk around enough you will surely spot one. 4. Get on a hill in the evening for a perfect crystal clear view of the stars and galaxy. Big thanks to all the Racha Staff for an amazing stay ! Read less Tip: Spectacular starry skies and sunsets. 'Monitor Dragons' spotting. Early morning beach visit for a 'True Paradise Experience'.…
