Twinpalms Phuket Resort is celebrated for its serene ambiance and a plethora of amenities, including a pristine pool and varied dining experiences. While the hotel's location near Surin Beach is a highlight for guests, some have mentioned a scarcity of sunbeds. The staff garners accolades for their attentive service, contributing to the hotel's tranquil yet culturally rich atmosphere.
Although the rooms are spacious and generally well-received, there are mixed opinions regarding value, with some criticism aimed at additional charges. Nonetheless, the hotel's cleanliness is consistently commended.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 2 weeks.
Our 3 adult children stayed next door in the Manathai to save us money - lol
It is a lovely hotel staff are really nice.
It’s in a great location if you want to see the sights of Phuket which I think in the two weeks we pretty much did it all.
Pool is definitely the high light it’s beautiful and well maintained.
Rooms lovely worth having a lagoon pool room with the pool right up to your bedroom, they change the bed every day which is a real luxury and leave you plenty of water.
The sun beds are uncomfortable but there are loads of them. (Hence my 4 stars)
Breakfast is good lovely choice.
We didn’t use the Catch beach club as we would have had to pay extra to take kids in although we did eat there first night and the food was really good.
Gym was fabulous well equipped.
All in all a good hotel and we had an amazing 2 weeks in Thailand.
Thank you x

We stayed at the Twinpalms Resort for the first 7 nights of our 3 week Phuket trip. Prior to our arrival, the communication from the hotel was excellent, they were efficient, clear with instructions and extremely helpful. They provided consistent support and arranged all of the Sandbox processes and transportation for us. We booked a Lagoon Premium Room and were very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the room; it was great to have direct access to the Lagoon Pool. The main pool was large and clean; a great area to relax during the day. The breakfasts at Oriental Spoon were very good quality and the staff on these shifts were the standout positive of our experience at this hotel. After breakfast, the relationship between the hotel and guest started to lessen; having stayed at 3 further hotels, on reflection there was less of an atmosphere and personal approach. We believe this may have been a result of limited on-site dining and beverage facilities for the remainder of the day. The hotel had a number of facilities available off-site, within a short shuttle ride. This service was free and the hotel arranged this at times that suited the guests; an excellent provision. We spent a number of nights at Catch Beach Club and Palm Seaside. The locations of these facilities were excellent and food was good; we were extremely pleased on first impressions, but again the range and quality of food could have been improved when we compare these to our further stays. Although not part of the hotel, we would highly recommend Benny’s Cocktails and Grill nearby. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel to others. Thank you.

The resort has a very nice guest welcoming experience by offering the selections of pillow types and the bath amenity scents.
However, the garden and public area condition holds the impression back.
The guestroom is neat and tidy. Anyhow we found out that the TV remote control in the bedroom was not functioning well. It should be checked through before the guest arrival.
Besides I stepped on the nail on the rooftop floor but luckily that I had managed to pull my foot out before it cut my foot. The engineering team should be more careful on this.
We went to the Wagyw restaurant in the evening and were very impressed with the service and the food knowledge of the staffs. Khun Khem was very informative and friendly.
However, we contacted the Front Office in the morning to make the payment of the dinner with the government campaign coupon, but the Front Office staff and Khun Aek -(we found out later that he is Room Division Manager) informed us that they could not do anything for us as it should have been done by the Wagyw restaurant only. They did not offer any help or solution at all. That made us feel very unsatisfied especially when the manager was there but looked at us in the way of looking down and did not respect at all (he did "wai" but with the poker face without smile).
Later I phoned to the resort and informed Front Office staff who picked up our phone and replied with helpful mind regarding the above problems that we had. She asked for my phone number and not long time later she came back with the solution of the billing. Sorry that I did not remember the nice lady's name but we really appreciate her service mind. I would say she did recover the situation while the RDM had made it worse.
Overall we love the restaurant service and quality. But there is still some room for improvement for other departments.

Twin Palms is the most stunning hotel. We had a Palm Premium room on the ground floor with a small terrace, with lounge chairs / sofa and only a few steps to the pool, which was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are immaculate, being swept of leaves every morning and there are always enough sun beds. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, catering for all nationalities, hot food, cold food and lots of fresh fruit. The restaurant staff were really lovely and helpful.
Our Palm Premium room was huge, with everything you need and bottles of fresh water was left daily. As for the bed; the most comfortable bed and bedding I've had in any hotel.
Between 3:00 - 4:00 every afternoon there was complimentary exotic fresh fruit available around the pool. Shortly afterwards a Thai musician would arrive to play traditional Thai music. It was beautiful.
Surin Beach is only a 2 minute walk and it's stunning with street vendors along the back of the beach. You can grab a drink or some street food and sit on the beach under the palm trees.
Our only disappointment was the reception staff. Although we were made to feel very welcome on arrival, with a fresh drink, cold towel and wrist floral garland (I think called a Malai), we felt that there was very little interaction from them for the remainder of our stay. We felt that they kept their heads down and only looked up if you said Hello first. On one occasion particularly, we came back from a long day out and there were 5 staff on reception, not one of them looked up and acknowledged our return. Just small gestures that make you feel like a valued, welcome guest.
This didn't have any affect on our holiday and we would still go back to the Twin Palms but something that I think should be addressed. It's very unusual for Thailand and something we've never come across before.

we had a voucher we bought for a 100baht for one night stay. most of the staff were friendly and wonderful but the lady checking us in has no sense of service. you can stay here and eat at several restaurants nearby and charge to room. My wife asked if there were any promotions and the check in ladies response was no promotion you only paid a 1000 baht for your room. So no reason to each at one of the establishments when there are many many others nearby. Rooms are nice and spacious but the beds are not in anyway 5 star. you can get a better bed at many other 3 star hotels. hotels is showing wear problably from the lack of use during pandemic. could use some paint and touch up. For a 5 star hotel the minibar was full of bottles that had there labels bubbling and peeling from sitting in humidity so long. breakfast was lacklustre wifi was ok and the grounds were great. the only positive is you walk out the door and in 2 minutes you are at Surin beach.

We spent 4 very enjoyable nights at TwinPalms staying in a Lagoon Premium Room. Room was spacious, the bed a little firm for my liking but I did get used to it. It really is worth paying slightly more for this room as you're able to swim from your room. We particularly enjoyed a few late night after dinner swims. All staff were welcoming and lovely, Breakfast I'd rate as good not great (food top quality, just not a lot of variety). We got room service a couple of times and it was excellent. Club sandwich highly recommended!
We took advantage of the free shuttle to both the Catch Beach Club and Palms Seaside on the very lovely Bang Tao Beach, a short drive away. Were wowed by some spectacular sunsets whilst enjoying cocktails at these venues. Can recommend The Beach bar & Grill, a great small inexpensive local restaurant near Catch for dinner as well.
Surin beach is a short walk from TwinPalms and is lovely as well.

stay for a week over new year and it was fine in spite of being overrated.
Rooms would need some refreshing .New year evening for which one pay a substantial price stopped at 10h30 pm and you have to move to their Cash beach resort where no seats available and pay your drinks on the top for the rest of the evening.
Putting industrial orange juice in the blenders at breakfast to make clients believe it is fresh is an insult.

Response from OlivierGibaud, General Manager at Twinpalms Phuket Resort
Responded 7 Jan 2020
Dear singazulu3 Thank you for having chosen to stay with us over the new year. Much appreciate your comments and feed back, I wonder if you are in anyway related to 955ibizagirl...as similar feeling seem to occur, if not we have two our of 100 rooms that share the same feeling and these issues will be addressed over how the later part of the night on the 31st is being addressed. We do add a high quality processed juice to fresh tangerine juice as the flavor is not strong enough nor balanced. See you soon again for more good time with us. Until then Olivier

We initially booked because of the fantastic 50m pool and it did not disappoint - just gorgeous - with the bonus of very few kids. The rooms very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed was really comfortable and absolutely enormous!
The digital app worked really well for requesting room cleaning, turndown service, restaurant bookings etc.
Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options. The coffee was very good and the staff polite, friendly and attentive.
Very large gym and daily classes. Calming well stocked library room to chill out.
We enjoyed the shuttle service to all the different restaurants and beach clubs.
The beach opposite the hotel was beautiful - great for swimming and watching sunsets, plus lots of options for food, drink, massage etc. Very nice to see no trash,
The local area is still unspoilt unlike some of the resorts in the South.

We stayed here for a week at the end of April and had such a wonderful stay. All staff were so kind and accommodating. On arrival, whilst awaiting our PCR result, we were given room service, and although we missed the breakfast they still honoured this for us. Which they didn’t need to do. Breakfast every morning never disappointed. So much variety for everyone. I had something different every day.
The pool was lush. I’ve seen some negative comments about not being enough sun loungers. But there were plenty. We always got one. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I loved lounging by our own swim up pool too. We used the spa at the hotel and had massages and for the price as well I highly recommend you get the traditional Thai massage! My back feels so much better.
I’ve also read some negative resviews about the shuttle. The shuttle bus always ran to time with us. We went to shimmer restaurant and also catch beach club on different days and both did not disappoint. Shimmer was lovely to watch the sunset. There were comments about the beach being far and walking through a field. It’s literally a path in front of the hotel. You can’t get more convenient than that!
I also recommend 2 restaurants to try. Nalu on the left when you come out. Or Surin beach cafe 2 min walk if you go right outside hotel and try their smoothie! And the meals in there are so cheap and yummy! There is a 7/11 on the left and round the corner on the left, 5 minute walk to local shop.
If you book more than 5 days the hotel offered a complimentary yacht trip that takes you to a beach where you can snorkel. The sea is so clear! We ordered food and drink on the yacht and the portions were great and food was delicious.
The hotel offer room service, they organised taxis for us and trips as well. Such a lovely stay, I’m already looking at coming back later this year!

After examining dozens of hotels in Phuket we chose the hotel located on Surin Beach. Especially in these days of recovery from the Covit-19 hotel its location is excellent and combines tourists with locals in a charming way. The hotel itself is decorated in a Thai style, rich in pools, great atmosphere and exceptional service. The rooms are big and cozy, the breakfast is just WOW and the hotel staff is always ready to help. The hotel is very suitable for couples and parents of small children. After 12 nights (!) It was hard to say goodbye to the hotel staff.
