Stayed over for the NYE weekend and had a wonderful room with amazing and unobstructed view of the bay. Waking up to that view as well as the sunset was fantastic. the rooms were comfy and well provided. Housekeep staff was super helpful. the entire property is quite large but it feels that the hotel is coming back to life after the closure of the pandemic. there are parts which really need renovating. the kids club was a nice addition to keep the kid busy and good staff to manage it. the food was perhaps the down side with only one restaurant opened in the hotel. This made options limited. Breakfast buffet was a great spread. the beach is not the best with way too many rocks. Overall, you feel just something is missing that would make this place so perfect!
I just stayed with my family for 2 rooms and got upgrade to Deluxe Sea Veiw Suite, Pool Access. It is an amazing with panorama sea view from my room. The room is very clean and tidy. Front staff are nice, friendly and always offer help. Breakfast is at The Seasonal Tastes and outdoor table is very nice view and relax when you have breakfast. I will recommend your hotel to my friends 😊 Thank you very much! Saowanee W.
Me and my friend were there for short visit, (2nd time for me) the room is great the pool is clean, service was excellent since we stepped in big mentioned to welcome staff, buggy drivers, housekeeping team, breakfast was superb staff always ready to response for any of your request as Bonvoy member I really love this resort, highly recommend. We definitely come back.
From the Phuket old town around 10 minute. And 1 hr from Phuket airport, the room is ok for family and couple, this time we choose pool access room, the pool is big and ocean view but must share the pool with another room maybe not privacy if book 2 room is ok, the linen bedsheets it ok hotel standard, the service and quality of breakfast it ok but not wow.
Having spent almost 100 nights in hotels across Thailand (Bangkok stay-stations and island escapes) during 2020, most of them in Marriott properties, we ended the year at the Westin Siray Beach Resort. BIG MISTAKE. The property has two outstanding features: the views across the bay and (some of) the staff. I say some because many are energetic but poorly trained students (not their fault), no doubt a cost cutting measure during the Covid Pandemic. Management, with the exception of F&B, are noticeable by their absence. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium guest this is the only hotel where no member of the executive team made an effort to greet us. The room upgrade we received met the very basic requirements of the Bonvoy program (I guess we had been very lucky with the amazing suites, pool villas and duplex upgrades we received at all the other Marriott properties throughout the year), this did not make us feel like valued Bonvoy guests. The room, although spacious, was very sad. I imagine it is decorated the same as it was when the property first opened. The suite was so tired and shabby it is hard to imagine, other than a splash of paint, that it has ever been renovated. The same criticism applies to the reception, the restaurant (only one was open during our stay) and all other public areas. WIFI was a hit or miss affair, I had to rely on my 4G most of the time. The lowest point for us was the food. Breakfast was appalling; stale bread that seems to have been recycled over 2 or 3 days, Thai Green Curry Chicken - minus the chicken when both my wife and I tried it, I could go on, but the list would be endless. I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic, but the food that what was on offer was simply not acceptable. Other Marriott hotels have managed to maintain their standards, why can’t the Westin Siray Bay? One evening we attended an Italian buffet, on offer was a small selection of salad, pasta and DEEPFRIED PIZZA - a choice of filling (Margarita, Tom Yum or Calamari) enclosed in a pocket of dough like a calzone, and then deep fried. It is down to personal taste, but for my family and I it was a greasy and unappetizing mush. Oven baked pizzas, with a choice of traditional and local toppings were available, but at a steep additional cost. Management - If you are going to offer an Italian buffet, and you have the equipment, please do it right. On a side note, a bottle of Change beer would set you back close to a whopping THB 200 ++. To their credit, the hotel did offer a number of good drink packages around the spectacular evening sunset. For my family and I this was the one and only high point of our five nights stay. Overall, the Westin Siray Beach Resort was a disappointing end to our 2020 Thailand hotel adventure. There are, in my opinion, far better hotel options, including Marriott properties, on Phuket Island in which to relax and to spend your hard-earned money.…
