My daughter said it looks like something from Crazy Rich Asians. The grounds are beautiful and our room did not disappoint. We had a room with a private pool and also enjoyed the outside bathtub. We arrived on a Friday evening and were able to have dinner at the street food experience with the fire show. The staff is excellent and very helpful.

Like pretty much everyone who reviews this hotel, we cannot recommend it enough. I wondered if it was 'too good to be true', but it really is that good! From the moment you arrive, you feel like you are in an oasis of calm and luxury and are treated as if you are the most important person there. The resort is absolutely enormous! It took us a couple of days to even find the third pool - it wasn't a problem as all of the pools are incredible and you will find one to suit your mood (we changed location of pool on a daily basis......just because we could LOL!) One of the adult pools has a swim up bar which is just gorgeous - Tor is the barman there and is quite the character - he is amazing and will look after you royally. Ian and Dang are on duty round the other pools and will also look after your every need, and when you go for lunch at the restaurant, Ball will be on duty to make you feel special. The food is amazing - Soo at Breakfast will cater for your every need and with such a huge (and delicious) selection of foods you could spend all day there and will be spoilt for choice. The rooms are gorgeous - really comfy beds and a really good replenishment system of drinking water in your room each day - even the housekeeping staff are really friendly - the staff work ethic throughout the hotel is the best we have ever experienced in over 20 years of travelling to Thailand. The hotel itself is so well designed, it will take your breath away. Whoever dealt with the little touches as a nod to the history of being a tin mine deserves a medal - wherever you look or turn, there is a style statement which adds to the whole experience without being over the top. We bought lots of things from the hotel shop as we loved the whole design. My husband had a few health issues whilst we were there which were dealt with swiftly and professionally by the in house First Aid team, something we really appreciated as it is scary being ill when on holiday in a foreign country. Nothing was too much to ask. Nai Yang itself is also really lovely - the beach is just outside the hotel where you can find all sorts of food, massages from the ladies in the yellow tops on the beach (who are SUCH fun - give them a go - they've been without any earnings during all of Covid so are delighted to welcome you) and sunset bars to die for - the view is amazing when you watch the sun dissolve into the sea - just magical. As everyone has said, this really is a top class hotel with service and attitudes from the staff making this a truly memorable experience - we will be back as soon as we possibly can!…

Another fabulous stay at The Slate. It really was luxurious and relaxing. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you and attend to you. The kids club staff were fantastic, remembering the kids names after just one visit. The activities and equipment available is fantastic for family fun. Ian at the pool is so charismatic and welcoming. A truely enjoyable experience. We will most definitely be back!

The Slate is a beautiful hotel on Nai Yang Beach. The staff work extremely hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable - my room was always kept immaculate by Ning, room service was quick and efficient via an online app and the choice at breakfast was extensive. The pool side staff were very welcoming, and Ian in particular was helping me with my thai. I had a couple of queries that reception helped with and Ghee and Auy were really helpful. Nai Yang beach also has a number of options for eating out (stalls and restaurants). There are also a few convenience stores and souvenir shops so the hotel is well located for local amenities.

Celebrated my Birthday here with a 2 night 3 day stay in one of the Suites (very spacious) - fantastic service, food (especially Black Ginger), cooking class (Chef Pear was excellent!) and great decor typical of Bill Bensleys hotels! Definitely will recommend - special shout out to all the staff especially our butler Teddy and Muay Thai coach Khun Kamen!

Excellent hotel in all respects. The staff were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough to please you. Special mention to Kamen who teaches muay thai at the Slate. He went out of his way to make our stay very enjoyable and gave up his day off to help my son and me choose some muay thai gear. Thank you to all for a memorable holiday and hope to come back soon

From check in to check out , the staff cannot do enough for you . The room was incredible , the bathroom is bigger than our lounge !! The hotel is situated on the beach , they golf buggy you down to the beach and pick you up. The beach front is great with great eating places and a few shops . Loved the whole experience

This is my fifth stay at the Slate and I can’t fault anything. The room was spacious and the bed was soo comfortable. The staff are amazing and always friendly. The food was great from room service to Rivet restaurant and breakfast had so many options. Want to return asap.

Our recent stay at the Slate offered us luxury, relaxation, and comfortable nights sleep during our visit to Phuket. We were pleasantly surprised by the modern architectural design and use of metal...even down to the flatware in the Tin Mine restaurant. The staff was the most friendly I've experienced and they went out of their way to offer assistance and made sure our stay was a memorable one. If I'm in the region again, will definitely book another reservation at the Slate. Job well done.

Was in desperate need of a relaxing holiday to recharge. We were definitely not disappointed with our choice. What an amazing experience we had at The Slate. All the staff were so welcoming and ready to assist with all our requests and needs. We just had a standard studio room with a balcony but it was perfect for the two of us and the bed and pillows were sooo soft and comfortable as was the linen. Our room was attended to daily and was always well kept and stocked by the friendly and accommodating staff. There is everything you need at the resort however it is only a couple of minutes walk to the town and beach which was super convenient with food and massage options everywhere. We loved that it was not touristy and easy to find whatever you wanted including scenic walks especially along the beach. Highly recommend if you’re after an escape to reboot. …
