It looks like the resort is in the middle if nowhere and if you have no car or don’t drive a bike, you’d first be worried but hey, at the back of the hotel there is this little raft that will take you across the river. After crossing the river, you walk from there through the woods and by the beach and few five minutes after, voila! You will find yourself in a place where restaurants and street foods are everywhere. People are in there summer dresses or in bikinis, some are eating tropical fruits and some got their favourite drinks in their hands.

L’esprit de Naiyang Resort is a place where you can have a quiet and relaxing holiday and at the same time, you can party nearby. This is now one of my favourite places.

The rooms are spacious with big bathrooms. The rooms in the main building got balcony and the villas got the same. Service is great. I don’t normally like hotel food but I was never disappointed every time I ask for a room service. Staffs are helpful and by the way, there is a little bar by the pool. The raft is operated by somebody who got very limited English but definitely one of the kindest and friendliest people I know in the planet.❤️

If you want an exciting and relaxing holiday, I recommend this place. This resort is ten minutes away from the airport and the resort offers a free airport transfer. Very convenient and if you can drive a bike, you can rent one nearby at 300 baht per day.

Definitely would go back to this place.

The location was really peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we wanted. The staff were polite and helpful. We were in a pool access room which was spacious and airy. The bathroom was huge. Breakfast was adequate with a number of choices and while there wasn’t an “egg station” you only had to ask staff for fried eggs, omelettes, pancakes, etc. The raft across the creek was unusual but fun. The gentleman was available from 8am to 10pm (as we were there in high season) but when we got back later than 10pm we only had to call the number given and someone would turn up within minutes to take us across

We have stayed here many times during our frequent holidays to Phuket. We travel around and always try to grab a few nights or a week here. Being only a small resort it has suffered hugely through the pandemic but we are so happy it survived.

As always we booked a pool access villa including breakfast direct with the hotel who gave us excellent rates beating the prices we could find anywhere else. They arranged free airport pick up for the short trip to the hotel. The hotel is being spruced up and the gardeners were always working hard. The villas are lovely, yes they need a little TLC getting the wood stained again etc but this is all very minor cosmetic stuff.

Our villa was spotlessly clean and as the air con was not working too well on arrival, they came within a few hours and installed a brand new system. The pool is lovely and so nice to step straight out of the villa into the pool. Swim up to the bar for fabulous cocktails made by the lovely barman.

Breakfast was very good and staff always happy to cater for all options with omelettes, all variety of eggs and fresh cooked bacon.

We went as a group this time and had 4 villas in total. We all had a fabulous stay and will return again.

The hotel is only a 5 minute drive to the airport although there is no noise at the hotel. Yes there is a small raft to cross a little river but then you are straight onto a quiet and beautiful beach. If you want to stay out late, take a phone and call reception who will send someone to the raft if it is past 9pm.

The staff were as always polite, friendly and helpful and it is so good to see the hotel has survived the pandemic and that the same staff are still working there.

Thank you for yet another wonderful stay!!

The are a few things wrong with this hotel.

1. The shower in our room had all wires exposed and was dangerous which we had to point out saying this they did repair it.

2. Our room had damp on the ceiling.

3. The whole hotel could do with a refurb.

4. You have to cross a raft over a very dirty river to get to the beach (the beach is amazing) however this raft closes at 8 o clock and all the bars and restaurants are on the beach forcing you to get a taxi home if you wanted a later night.

5. The design of the pool means if you don’t have a poolside room you will struggle to get a seat around the pool to relax as there are very limited spaces.

6. The hotel charges 17% service charge to all food making it very overpriced however the food was nice.

7. The service is very poor and the bar / restaurant felt very understaffed. We ordered a drink one night and I just never turned up so we went to bed.

8. We ate are the restaurant one night and we had a meal for 6 with drinks. We were not quite finished drinking but the restaurant closed bang on 10 o clock and all the staff left the restaurant.

All in all I would say this hotel needs a lot of work and I would recommend looking elsewhere. There is a Marriot just down the road which looked a lot nicer. As stated the beach is amazing the water is crystal
Clear so location is perfect.

Great location if you want peace and quiet. The grounds are very well maintained. Very nice pool. We opted for the breakfast, it was average. We had booked a pool view room and when we arrived none was available. The hotel offered to upgrade us for 1 night to a bungalow and then move us the next day to the pool view. The pool view is not a true pool view since there are a couple roofs in front of the balcony. We negotiated and for an additional charge were able to stay in our bungalow for the rest of our stay. We didn't really want to pack up and move again after one night. Our bungalow was nice, with a nice sitting area, however a little dated. The couch needs some cleaning. Otherwise it was clean, nice bathroom but no hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. Their Happy Hour is very confusing. It said buy 2 cocktails and get one free, however one bartender tells you certain drinks are included and another bartender charges you. This happened to other people as well. We eat the first night at the restaurant and the food was very good.

Will start with the positive, the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived our room really did not look as pictured, and when we mentioned it the staff moved us to a new room. The beach outside of the hotel was also nice and the lobby is the most elegant part of the hotel.

However the quality of the hotel really declined after the lobby. The hotel in general looks like it wants to be a fancy high end hotel, and it's priced that way, but it hasn't been taken care of very well. In lots of places it's in slight disrepair and looks quite shabby. The pictures make the hotel look much nicer than it is. The pool was a little bit dirty, and there isn't really a nice area to hang out at the pool unless you have one of the pool bungalows. In fact I would not recommend staying here unless you have one of the pool bungalows, but considering the price of them even then I think you could find a nicer place to stay for the price. The breakfast also seemed a bit overpriced for what you got.

The beach and "national park" outside of the hotel you can get to by a pull ferry over a small kind of gross river behind the hotel. Which means if you are out in Nai Yang beach for dinner or drinks you have to be back by 9 pm when the ferry stops or take a cab. The national park area is just a small wooded area, which is nice because it is not developed but it isn't something too special. The beach was again nice but hardly the nicest beach we've been to in Thailand. Generally Nai Yang beach was way more expensive than anywhere else we travelled and was the least nice. Maybe we were spoiled coming from Koh Samui and Koh Tao but I wouldn't recommend it.

It is close to the airport but there are other areas you could stay that are close as well. They did provide a free airport shuttle.

We had a wonderful stay here - our garden villa was spacious, comfortable and cool. The daily cleaning meant we always felt well looked after and the staff were very attentive. The plunge pool in our villa kept our 4 year old entertained and safe (as its shallow) and was a great bonus. The man working the pontoon to the beach was very friendly and gave our son a number of treats making him feel very welcome too.

It's an ok hotel but nothing more. We had a villa with pool access (swim up), but it was really hard to get back up on the platform outside the room so you had to go through the room getting it all wet. The room is like an aquarium with little privacy and there is no way to close between the living room and the bedroom so if you need to change you have to draw the curtains in the entire room. It's pretty run down and at one point the bathroom flooded from the sewer so we had to move to another room for the night while they fixed it. That room had a private pool that was really nasty. Not cleaned at all. The cleaning of the rooms was generally poor. They didn't change the glasses or take away garbage. If you wanted them to change sheet you had to mess the bed up a lot otherwise they just made it with the old sheet. We also had problems getting hot water even after them fixing our room.

The breakfast was ok for the people who likes to eat thaifood for breakfast, but not great if you want a sandwich. There is no cheese or ham to put on the bread. We also ordered roomservice which was about same level as a frozen pizza they heated up. We also tried ordering a drink at the poolbar and it took about 20 min to get it even when I was the only one there.

If you only want a quiet place to stay with no luxuries and close to the, pool, beach and restaurants, this is the place for you. Otherwise I would recommend another hotel.

If you’re looking for a less crowded area, surrounded by nature and a beach front, then this is the place to go.
The rooms are comfortable and if you’re concerned about insects, the rooms are well equipped not to allow them entry. The noise they make during the night is muffled by closing the doors, you’ll sleep soundly.
Rooms are clean and very spacious with great views of the pool and the gardens.
You’ll have access to the gym, you’ll also be provided with guided tours from local tourist companies and they have also massages at great prices.

We've stayed in villa with pool access. Very calm and beautiful place. Value for money by 110%.
The not crowded beach by 5 minutes walk, daily cleaning, responsive staff, spacious, green, national park near by

Surprised of lack of drinking water (only 2 bottles were included) and a little bit overprice for room service and the restaurant whereas cafes and groceries far from the hotel

I’m unsure of this I’d probably just keep emailing the resort . I found the response quite slow as well. When we were there the massage was closed , so we went up the beach about 500 mtrs

from memory it was around 40bht for a transfer to L'esprit from the airport. We found pre organising our transfers with the hotel was a great way to do it. I think the cost was very similar, but we found it way more convenient to organise through the hotel for a transfer at night or early in the morning. Hope that helps!
