The site is clean and well maintained. We went for a three night camping stay from Sunday to Wednesday. We were very disappointed to hear that the onsite bar and restraunt were not open on a Monday and Tuesday. Surely they need to make you aware of this when you book as there's no other bars in walking distance. Surely if they are opening the site to the public then they need to make sure all the amenities are open aswell, especially in peak season. If we'd have known this at time of booking then we would have found another site. Totally unnacceptable, they charge full price but close the amenities

Stayed for a week and fortunately had good weather 6/7 days. The site is on a hill but once you adjust your bits and bobs and keep moving up the air bed you can’t beat the views. And the meadow behind to walk the dogs. The bookable ability to have the pool to yourself is brilliant sauna and steam room are amazing. When the facilities are open the bar and restaurant are spot on although it can get very noisy so thankful the camping is well out of the way.
Unfortunately the toilets and showers arnt great they are ok, but be prepared to shower in flip flops and it’s been mentioned before but the doors lock but you can’t tell from the outside so have to try each handle. If you can get over that you’ll have a fab time. We had a couple of nights of noisy neighbours some young ones who wanted to drink and chat all night, then a very large family who effed and jeffed a lot and we were included in every conversation or felt like it. But that’s camping for you. Location was key for us and you can’t beat the amount of space you get. Had the toilets been better I’d have given it 4/5

the staff are amazing the pub is great the camp field is at the top with excellent views
Only negative was the toilet block wasn’t cleaned very well I would have given full stars if it wasn’t for this it let the site down .
Other than this it is one of the friendliest sites we have visited . If you have your own facilities then this is one of the best sites for entertainment and very welcoming

This is the second time we have stayed at Spring Willows. The staff are great and keep the site immaculate. We used the restaurant and a bar every night, it had a lovely atmosphere and great food. We weren't able to use the lovely pool this time because of covid restrictions but we noticed they'd built a brand new spa so we can't wait to use that next time.
The site itself is in a great location just a stones throw from Filey & Scarborough so plenty to do off site too.
The touring field is located at the top of the park with some wonderful views over the Wolds. The toilets/showers are a bit tired but spotlessly clean & we could see that a new shower facility being built.
Talking to people on holiday there, lots of them go regularly which speaks for itself - we will too!

The pros -

Lindsay in reception really helpful and accommodating. Couldn't do enough for me when trying to book for the bank holiday at short notice.

The cons -

Calling the site boutique is a little misleading, the showers run cold, and there are only 4 toilets/bathrooms which are more often than not occupied, which obviously you don't know without leaving your accommodation and walking over to them.

There is nothing on the doors to indicate whether they are in use leaving you no option but to try the handles which is somewhat unnerving when you are the one in the shower/using the toilet. (and one of them doesn't lock at all.)

There is also no handwash/soap in the bathrooms. Only tubs of hand sanitiser.

Pitches are on a slope, which you are not warned of at any point prior to booking. Not too much of an issue in a caravan but good luck if you are in a tent.

Electric points have 2 outlets but many are running multiple splitters to several pitches (not sure on whether this a common thing or a genuine safety concern, but it looks a little dangerous.) People using appliances such as hair straighteners, household kettles even car chargers in a 10a hook up meaning the power is persistently tripping. We had 3 occasions across 4 days where we were left without electric.

Can be noisy on a night, we had neighbours that were extremely loud gone midnight. Did manage to get security up to ask them to quieten down as it was approaching 1am but seemingly not sanctioned over it as they were as bad again the following night. Kids were running around knocking on caravans in the middle of the night and riding in between peoples tents/caravans on a quad.

There were several pitches with dogs left running loose. Had to stop in the road for the same chihuahua on more than one occasion. Also the pitch next to us had a terrier that was constantly coming out of the caravan and running on to our pitch and growling at us.

Unfortunately I don't think we would return on the basis of the sloped pitch and lack of hygiene facilities.

My advice to you if you are staying there soon:

Take your own handwash and toilet roll even though they are public loos and should be provided as standard.

Watch out for loose dogs in the road and around your tent.

Don't expect to be able to settle young children off to sleep prior to midnight.

Don't expect a warm shower.

Don't put hot drinks, food or citronella candles on tables in your tent because everything slides off in the vague direction of Scarborough.

We paid top price for what we thought was going to be a boutique break away, the photos were well and truly misleading, they make the Spencer suite look massive but in actual fact it’s no bigger than a standard one bedroom studio apartment , open plan makes it seem bigger but it’s not, there is nowhere outside to sit in the sun apart from a drive at the side that is just big enough for the car if you don’t open the door to get out !!! , the facilities are there but closed , we were given a welcome pack that basically gave you a menu of what the restaurant sells and how to book the pool and there is an on site bar, But and it’s a big but it’s closed all week , there are a three hour slot so that means three people can boom a slot then after 13.00 it’s limited to max 15 people , so three caravans with kids and that means the pool is unavailable as well , all in all a disgrace to charge full price on what appears to be a lovely place with loads of facilities advertised on paper but the reality is it’s all closed apart from a Saturday and oh goody goody they do breakfast on a Sunday Wow how good of them , the shower above the bath is off centre beside the window so you spend 20 minutes after ,drying the window sill and the floor ( dunno who planned that ???), are there any good points ? Well it’s hard to think but there is a good fish and chip shop literally next door but nowt else within 4 mile , and maybe the furniture is quite modern, also not far to get to Scarborough or Filey and Bridlington ,we will never return here and will certainly be asking cottages.com for some compensation

wow wow wow.... honestly the best campsite i have ever been too. booked holiday with a lovely lady called pam who couldn't of been more helpful. when we checked in val on reception showed us up to the field and where everything was and was very helpful.
the trailer which has been converted into beautiful showers (monsoon showers which were amazing) and the washing up area wgich also had washing machines inside. the showers also had hairdryers which are free.
the lovely man who cleans these must of been there nearly ever hour checking these. you could eat your dinner off the floor. he was also the quizmaster.
they have a beautiful swimming pool with hot tub, sauna and a steamroom, the restaurant and bar area is fantastic and extremely child and dog friendly. beautiful beer garden with ratten furniture and a playarea.
the chef i think he was called stuart was the best. honestly best food ive had in years.
the bar manager Natalie was lovely and would always come for a natter and sit and have a drink with us along with ronnie and gill.
gill is really funny and made us laugh so much.
it was that good were going back again this weekend and school holidays. also mark was lovely too and always wanted a natter.
i asked for everyones names because they highly deserve the recognition. see you tomorrow xxx

The place is advertised as 'boutique' but the owners should be charged under the trade descriptions act because boutique it really isn't. We visited with our camper van and were taken to the touring part which was a field at the top of the site, on a steep incline.
The toilets were dreadful, one cubicle in the men's, one shower, one shower in the ladies and two cubicles, they were in a wooden shack and were in a poor condition. We were told the new toilets would be ready when we arrived but they weren't and the workmen were still working on them. So it was lovely to be woken up at 8am on Saturday/Sunday to the sound of a saw and drilling (NOT). There was no pot wash area, we were told we could walk down the hill and use the kitchen in the bar were food preparation takes place, I'm sure this would contravene environmental health laws and i guess the chef wouldnt be happy so we ended up bringing our pots home with us to wash. And to top it off there was a group of campers having a party and playing music from approx 3pm until 11.30pm so it was thump thump thump all day as well as saw and drilling!! Its hard but I would like to end on a positive note and say the bar area was well run and followed covid rules. Also a big shoutout to the blonde barmaid who worked her cotton socks off! and deserves to be paid her weight in gold, well done girl!! However, we wont be coming back and i certainly will not be recommending this dump to any of my V Dub friends.

We booked for this touring site having been some years ago. It was relatively late booking so avail;ability elsewhere, was limited.
When booking the lady was very helpful and also on arrival. with a touring van we had to go round the site to get to the reception as there was no where safe to park without blocking the entrance,
Security was good with keypad control for in and out gates.
We were taken to the touring part (basically a field) at the top of the site with a windy hill to get there.
We were directed to a place to park with electric hookup.
The field is hilly so we had to level up the caravan till the back was almost touching the ground ant the from a frame was very high.
The toilets were dreadful! one cubicle in the men's and one shower cubicle. condition was poor in cleanliness and condition. (they are installing some new 'portacabin' style toilets but completion is delayed and, as such , unavailable to us)
Chemical toilet disposal was open air next to the grey water disposal and toilets.
we didn't use other facilities on the site due to Covid 19 restrictions although they were open. (pool etc.) with some parts not open.
Overall, we were disappointed and will not be going back there. There are much better touring sites available in the area if booking with a little more time.

The first time we visited was a couple of years ago with family, but we have visited twice in three weeks, each time theres lots of improvements, staff are so friendly, the food is fresh and hot every time.....good size portions!!!
We have booked for next year so we can get in for sure and hope to see all the improvements completed or nearly done.
But probably come before our next booking it’s so friendly
See you all soon
