We spent seven nights at the Konaki in September 2006. It’s a lovely, small and friendly hotel, set in beautifully-kept gardens. The rooms and facilities are spotless, the food is good and the staff friendly and welcoming. Fresh juices are made at the bar and breakfast is a simple, unfussy but fresh and tasty affair set on the patio. The location is a good base for the rest of the island – it’s quieter than commercial Nidri, and has retained its Greek charm.
The Taverna Sidrivani next door is a small family run place which serves fresh, homemade, tasty Greek cuisine in a traditional setting, on the edge of the village square.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would love to go back.

We were there as a group of 11 people in August 2013. The rooms were great, spacious and clean. The hotel complex is very large with a beautiful garden and a huge swimming pool. The people were very kind and professional and the restaurant (the food) was excellent.

It was a friendly family style bungalow hotel. I found it expensive for the accommodations. The furniture was old and worn and the rooms were musty. The rooms has the towels changed every day but for the six days that we were here they didn't change the sheets. There was no wifi in the rooms and in the breakfast area and pool area it was very weak. This was a problem for me.

This is a lovely hotel in the middle of ... well about nowhere. If you want action, partying etc, this is not the place! The hotel service was good, we ate a lot in the pool bar. The breakfast was fine but got a little boring after a couple of days, basically it was bred or milk with cereals.

The bed is made of stone! It was horrible! I would want to recommend the hotel for it is great, the service, the room, the shower etc, but the bed. No. No one wants to sleep 7 nights on a stone. I can not recommend this.

The town is not a town. It is small, a couple of tavernas, a pizzeria and a steakhouse, and 3-4 supermarkets of which one is opened during siesta and night, as well as daytime. It gets a bit boring to stay here, we went on two boat trips from Nidri and went in to Lefkas town a coup0le of nights. Though if you want to experience the real Greece, this is a nice place to go. I would not recommend 2 weeks stay here, maybe a couple of nights for the experience.

Also there is no beach. There is sea meeting land and that's that. You can not rent sunbeds and the "beach" mean you have to lay on rockets on a small slip of stones. If you want to swim and bath and have fun in the sea, don't go here.

Looking at some of the reviews here it is obvious that fist impressions when you arrive are not that good, for sure there is nothing to set the hotel apart from its surroundings along the main road from Levkas. I drove from Halkidiki to visit Lefkada and other places so was not too bothered how the hotel looked initially, I need not worry, the car park is a good size and as soon as you walk through the gates immediately you are taken into a whole new world. Sure the gardens are stunning and it is nice to see that a lot of care has been taken to ensure they are tidy and look a bit closer and you also see the little personal touches that have been added over the years. To the right as you walk in is the reception area that also houses thedining room. Again all in excellent order and I have to admit to liking the choice of food available at breakfast time, sure by other hotel standards to many there may not seem to be much but I was surprised at the choices available as well as the endless supply of good coffee. Leave the reception towars the hotel and to the left is the pool area. The pool is massive, well kept, clean and just incredible. Next to it is a large lounging area with a well stocked bar as well as other light refreshments and although there is no food on dispaly the staff are only too willing to make something to eat in the meantime. The hotel complex itself is very much different to any other I have seen, rather than a single building with the rooms it is actually spread out over different annexes and is wuite vast in size. Each annex having different spec rooms to hopefully cater for all. The room we had was a standard double that looked out over the pool and was ideal, spacious and well equipped as well as being imaculately clean. On our arrival the hotel boss offered to take our cases to our via a trolley so taking the load of us as well as being on hand to provide any advice or gived any essential tips about the island itself. Overall I loved it here, all of the staff are a credit to the hotel and to walk around the grounds I hope will give anyone an appreciation of a hotel that is looked after inside and out, as with most things Greek nothing is rushed, and with seating placed around the gardens it is nice to be able to spend some quality time just doing nothing. For sure we will come back, I could not think of a better place to be, sure it is off the beaten track, and it makes no boast of being anything other, but, there are plenty of tavernas nearby that offer incredible dishes at good prices so for me it is a winner.

The hotel was great. It was clean, has a good location. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
The only issue you should have in mind if you visit the hotel is mosquitos!!! Because of the very large garden area of the hotel there are lots of mosquitos and you must take with you mosquito repellent. They dont bother you in daytime ofcourse but at night you must keep your room windows closed.

We loved the hotel - it is a spacious domain, full of trees and flowers, very romantic and peacefull, showing good taste, where lot of attention is paid for the confort and privacy of all guests. Nothing small or crowded. One has a magnificent view over the hills and mountains of Lefkada.
The breakfast is lovely - is took in a beautiful garden and the dishes are various and tasty.
The pool is very big and clean, beutifully lit at night.
Definitely we would recommend the hotel to all our friends.

Last September we have done an island hopping tour in the Ionian islands and in Lefkada we had plan to stay in Hotel Konaki for 5 days but we ended up staying for 8 and it has been a great experience.

The hotel is much better that it is described on-line. We stayed in standard twin rooms that were very big and comfy and also had great newly fit bathrooms. The gardens, the pool and the surroundings were also great. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and the best of all for our group was the fact that the beach was less that three minutes walk from the hotel so we could easily split up and those that wanted to be at the beach went while the others stayed and enjoyed the pool while we could easily all get together for lunch and drinks.

Being so close to Lefkada town and with the taxis at quite low cost we did not consider hiring a car till our 3rd day when we did in order to explore further the amazing beauties of Lefkada.
And as soon as we did we came to discover that the location of the hotel was ideal since we could easily reach all famous and not so famous places around.
The hotel also offers a secure parking area free of charge to the guests and this for us was a plus since we did not want to have any problems with the rented car. (We had some in the past in Italy so we were preoccupied).
And for the younger members of our group Konaki became their favorite place and ended up spending most of their days withing the property since the loved the pool, the gym and started also playing tennis.

All 6 of us strongly recommend this hotel.

how long is the transfer from the airport to the hotel please
Lefkada, Greece
We are really sorry for the delayed reply but we are not following TripAdvisor. The distance by taxi from the airport of Preveza to the hotel is about 30 minutes almost all year long. It may be a little more during August and if your flight arrives during rush hours Google maps shows it to be 29 minutes from Aktion International Airport to Hotel Konaki. Thank you
