#1 of 18 Speciality lodging in Lygia
Thealos Village Resort Lefkada offers independent stylish villas with private pools and apartments/suites. All of them have an amazing sea view, due to the amphitheatrical distribution of the resort, situated on a green and quiet hillside, overlooking the Ionian Sea and the surrounding nature. Breakfast is included in the price and offers local, traditional products. There are 7 villas with 2, 3, 4 or 5 bedrooms with sea view, private garden and swimming pool. There are also 12 one-bedroom apartments, studios and honeymoon bungalows. The suites share 2 terraced swimming pools and another one for children. We know how important is a proper night sleep, so special attention has been given to the quality of sleep. The nearest beach is only 200 m down the road and offers entertaining water-sports. The closest restaurant is only 150 m away. There are more organized beaches around, but the best way to enjoy Lefkada is to have a car and drive around. Updated COVID-19 Protocols are in place for your safety.

We love this place, came back after only a few months and intend to go back again soon. The owners are delightful, the staff helpful and cheerful, and the place itself is a perfect balance of several factors important to us. Location. On Lefkada which in itself is a good thing but also up a steep road away from the traffic and noise of the main thoroughfare, while at the same time walking distance to the sea and local restaurants in Lygia . The property is about a hundred meters up, laid out like an amphitheater at the top of a valley and the view is fantastic. Size and comfort: the apartments are of good size and well equipped for a long term stay including cooking dinners if desired and doing laundry. As coffee lovers we were impressed with the provided three separate means of making it: a drip coffee maker with a carafe, classic small pots for making Turkish/Greek boiled coffee, and a small and simple but functional espresso machine complete with a steam milk frothier. Being just two we have not stayed in a villa but assume the villas are at least as well equipped as the apartments. All apartments have terraces or balconies and having a cappuccino outdoors while watching sunrises was one of our morning pleasures. First floor apartment balconies have unobstructed views, chairs and a table and more privacy while ground floor terraces are much larger and have room for sun beds and direct access to the pools. Choose what makes you happier. Feel and atmosphere: the place feels like a small village in its own right with multiple villas and apartments. It is quiet with occasional baby cries, neighborhood dog barks, and occasional birthday parties but all guests in our experience have been considerate, gentle and mostly wanting the same things: quiet, sun, laziness, contemplation, lots of salt water, local wine and morning coffee. Speaking of salt water, keep in mind that beaches and swimming are mostly located on the west side of the island and the nearest one is about a 20 minute drive away. Owners and staff: truly make the place. The couple managing the place are kind and accommodating, full of local knowledge and seem truly proud of their place and the island. The hard working and small staff are simply human: helpful and natural, not over-trained robots sometimes seen in upscale establishments, nor apathetic and fed up kind commonly seen in many others. Instead, they seem to be just a part of the village. Resident cats are grateful for protein leftovers.
