We were the first flight in of the new season. For the first few days there were only 7 of us in the complete hotel. It was bliss! After that other people started to arrive but not in great numbers. The views and location are stunning. The staff were great and always available to help. Rooms are quite basic but still have everything you need and cleaning staff were first class. Nothing was too much trouble. Sunbeds around the pool were really comfortable. For the first couple of days food was limited in the hotel due to start of season but after two days there was a full menu and the food was good and reasonably priced. Some restaurants around were still not open but there were still enough to enable a choice on a daily basis. The local bus stops outside the hotel and to travel either way is easy and cheap (around €1.60 single journey). I can imagine it will get much busier as the season progresses but still think this is a hidden gem and will never tire of the views.

Have been to this hotel many times before,it s owners and staff are amazing. The staff have been working there for many years, which says a lot about the owners. The sea view rooms are brilliant you can watch the boats going past and just enjoy the view. Breakfast is very good, rooms are good, and plenty of sunbeds for everyone. There is a bus stop outside of the hotel, they can take you to most places on the island, and they are easy to use, There are some realy good tavernas ,all in walking distance, eating outside by the sea is superb. We missed a couple of years because of covid, but hope to return soon.

We enjoyed our two week stay at this hotel. Our room was very comfortable, well serviced and very clean, and with an outstanding view over the channel to the mainland. We spent several hours sitting on the balcony watching the boats, paddle-boarders and swimmers. The balcony faced the morning sun, but thankfully was in shade by lunchtime. The buffet breakfast was extensive, tasty and very satisfying, and serviced by very accommodating staff who ensured everything was in order. All of the staff are to be commended for being both professional and friendly. The private area between the hotel and water's edge was well stocked with sunbeds and parasols. The hotel is ideally located within 5-10 minutes' walk of at least six tavernas, all of which serve good food. If you wish to travel further, there's a bus stop about 50 mts from the hotel's drive. The only disappointment was the fact that for 3-4 days the hotel hosted a sailing school for youngers and this impacted on the otherwise serene experience. However, we would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

The best recommendation I can give is that I would be very happy to go back to hotel Porto Ligia. The location is great, with the crystal clear sea lapping right up to the hotels lawn, the sun bathing area, whether on the grass terrace, or under the shade of an olive tree making for a chilled out time. You can also have a dip in the pool to cool off. The hotel is very well run. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are basic but clean tidy and functional, rooms with a sea views are a must. Food whether it is the good breakfast selection, plenty of fresh fruit and pastries or lunchtime snacks, the greek salad is amazing, means you can stay in the hotel, by the pool or sea and want for nothing. Ligia is a small place with about five or six taverna's, all within easy walking of the hotel, all on the water front and all very much the same in terms of quality (good) and price (reasonable). The nearest supermarket is about a 10 min walk from the hotel. Two recommendation are book a room with a sea view and bring beach/jelly shoes for the pebbly beach.

This is probably the best view we have had from a hotel and we have been to many around the world. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the grass overlooking the sea. There was never a need to reserve them, not even during our 2 weeks in August. It is a very quiet relaxing hotel, near to a small harbour with plenty of tavernas. The local bus stops right outside, which we used to get to Nidri and then on to Meganisi on the local ferry, very cheap. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. My husband unfortunately had to go to hospital for a heart condition and the manager helped to organise the ambulance and offered his help when I was trying g to get to the hospital the next day. Also a big shout out to Melanie, the Jet2 rep, who was a huge help and support to me. In short, this is a great hotel with wonderful staff.

We had 2 weeks of blissful relaxation. Our room had stunning views across the sea to the mainland and was extremely comfortable. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and a very good selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruits cereals breads cakes etc Sunbeds and umbrellas were well spaced on the grass and just a few steps from the sea which was very clear and so refreshing! The pool was also very close by but we much prefer swimming in the sea and with beach shoes it was easy to get across the pebbles. All staff deserve praise for their friendly, hardworking and cheerful attitudes but especially Themetria who was always went out of her way to help. We will definitely be returning Thanks to Makis and Sotiris for finding us a seaview room for 12 of our 14 days The mountain view room was also very good but without the stunning views!

Lovely place.. In a lovely place.... Spent 11 nights here June /July, very laid back peaceful hotel, straight through reception.... Bar/restaurant /patio/pool/lawn /sea.... In about 10 seconds.... Couldn't be better located. Clean, ample sized rooms, bedding and towels changed DAILY, spotlessly clean. Most comfortable large hotel bed ever slept in. Free air conditioning, which was a godsend. TV with radio channels.. Balcony with great views. Lift for luggage or less able bodied to the top (second) floor. Friendly staff, from the owner manager to the cleaning staff, bar staff, restaurant staff. Excellent Greek/continental buffet breakfast with more than enough to suit all tastes. Snacks available from the bar all day, reasonably priced drinks. Comfy sunloungers and plenty of parasols by the pool or beach... Handy bus stop just outside the hotel with a fairly regular service North and South. Plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute walk along the main road (quiet). Warm sea (honest). We will definitely return.

From the initial entry in to the reception area we knew we had made the right decision to holiday at Porto Lydia Hotel. The view out over the pool area to the sea was stunning, and that was just our check in! The staff, from the Manager/ owner to the cleaning staff, were all genuinely pleasant and cheery and nothing was to much trouble for them, such a big credit to the hotel. Our room was clean, and serviced daily with fresh sheets and towels, it had the luxury of a small fridge to keep our beverages cold. The view from our balcony was so beautiful. The Hotels position is ideal for a short walk to some lovely small tavernas. The beach and pool area was well equipped with plenty of sun beds and shady areas if you need to get out of the sunshine. Overall this has been one of the most relaxing holidays and would recommend it to anyone who loves a quiet and peaceful time. Thanks again to all the staff.
