A comfortable break between Christmas and New Year's and our first return in close to 2 years. Rooms are very comfortable with some new touches, internet very good, and some satellite TV for the wife. I always use the resort as a cycling home base and always a pleasure rising into Klaeng along the coast. A new cleaning team do an outstanding job and Fah never fails with her assistance. What a wonderful place. We could live there and even extended our recent stay another couple of nights. Thank you!

Tucked away amongst some very old, run down structures about 150 meters from the main pier, this place was most welcome to relax within a nice setting and enjoy a couple of drinks by the pool. Only 3 months old, and still working on a restaurant in the back for guests but did not matter one bit. The rooms are basic but offer up a very comfortable bed, nice clean washrooms, plenty of space, strong air, and nice large patios to enjoy a family meal. Keep in mind the location, as this is where most board the ferry for island getaways but not necessary as this is a secluded tropical getaway, run by a very nice family who made us feel at home. Yes, there are small items which could be added to the room but did not matter a bit. Excellent rates and an option before heading to Koh Samet or staying put. A definite return next month for family time. Jim

Well, we as a family love this place! Just feels like home and this time was an excellent base to head out on daily cycles. Was very easy to turn a corner and do up to 100 kms along some quiet, secluded and beautiful ocean front roads. Nice tree canopy through Suan Son as well. Right through to Klaeng offered up some pleasant riding, lacking high speed traffic, and must admit, distracting views. Sore neck from taking in the waves crashing the beach. Found some really nice beaches just a short ride away but always look forward to the pool side return after long, hot rides. Pool and grounds of the resort were exactly as our first time here, clean and beautiful. Yes, a bit more lawn furniture could be available when busy and the rooms are basic but meets our needs perfectly. Clean and comfortable room and beds. Love the morning coffee on the pool deck or room patio and always feel right at home. A must return for Songkran is in the works and a small onsite cafe etc. will be opened shortly. Thank you again for making us feel special. Our daughters favourite place!

We stayed at this establishment one night on January 2nd. It is a nice place, modern, clean and managed by a really nice crew. Really worth the 3 min ride by tuk-tuk from the pier area (easy to find, just follow Google maps).

We stayed here on our way to Koh Samet. Our bus arrived from Bangkok after sunset and we didn’t feel like making the crossing in a speed boat ferry at night.
Luckily, we came across Huay Soontaree, and everything about it exceeded our expectations. The room, the pool, the breakfast, and the staff were all exceptional. Especially the staff, such warm and welcoming people!
The manager recommended an excellent restaurant down by the pier, which was also memorable.
Huan Soontaree was so relaxing and we wish we would have just stayed there instead of going on to Koh Samet. We stayed at one of the highest rated hotels on KS, and it was mediocre compared to Huan Soontaree.

We were one night there. The resort was very wonderful and cozy. Pool was also good. Sun bed could have been more.

And the staff was the best. I have never met people like they were. They were really kind and for example carried us for free.

I will definitely come back!

Hi

I was there several nights in December and can really recommend it. I took daily-trips to Koh Samet and also to Rayong. They drop-you-off to the bier from where the boat goes to Koh Samet, not bat at all. The place itself is really new and you can enjoy the cleaness and new equipments like A/C. Beds are what they are in Thailand, but these are new ones so no worries. Some mosquites around so remember but some protection (this is not related the place at all). Also really nice couple running the place, you can notice that you are welcome which is little bit rare now-days in Thailand.
