exceptionally great hotel, with the nicest staff I have ever encountered. Great location on a quiet beach not far from Lamai center, great well-kept gardens, great pool villas, unique service, great food. You can only give this hotel a 10/10 rating. Thank you Chin and your whole team for your hospitality. I will come back for sure...
Villa’s are really big and nice, all villas have a private pool. The location at the beach was good. But the staff and the food was the best we had on our vacation in Thailand! Also, the cooking class was nice. Would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful resort.
We spent a few absolutely delightful days at Renaissance Koh Samui at the beginning of July! All of the staff was caring, friendly, and very helpful with whatever we needed. The whole experience was lovely, but what made us feel most welcome and at home was the way that the staff took care of us. The seaview room was very comfortable and clean and offered a beautiful view. The peaceful grounds were gorgeous with flowers and island plant life everywhere you look. Anywhere we went, the spaces were immaculately well cared for and there's plenty of room to spread out with 2 pools, an indoor library/reading area, covered seating areas, lots of benches, and a beach on which you can walk quite far. The water recedes almost entirely during low tide so there's a massive tide pool area to explore. If you're looking to swim in the ocean, be prepared to walk out a bit to reach deep enough water. Or just swim in the beautiful hotel pool which is right next to the beach! The hotel spa is a luxurious experience too. We ended up eating most meals at the hotel restaurant, the Banana Leaf, because the food was just fantastic. Breakfast every morning offered a huge variety of great food, fresh squeezed juice, even panang eggs benedict which was an amazing signature dish. Lunch and dinner were also super tasty and the menu covers a wide variety so most anyone can find something they will like. The desserts might have been our favorite part though. Mango cheese cake, chocolate cake, mango sticky rice, and more, most of which came with exceptional ice cream too. Off-site, there are several restaurants within walking distance if you want to explore. No sidewalks until you get to town but we still felt safe doing that walk between the hotel and the main street. Some places are cash only so it's a good idea to check beforehand. The ice cream shop about a 10 minute walk away is also awesome. We highly recommend the Renaissance Koh Samui!! If we get to return to the island, we will certainly stay here again!…
The hotel is located somewhere between Lamai and cheweng. It has beautiful rooms and amazing view. We had good time at the pool and the beach, and wonderful breakfast with lots of variety at the banana leaf restaurant. In our package we also had dinner included and we had it in tawann restaurant which also has amazing view and great food. Most of all the service we got from white and sugar and the rest of the team was caring and definitely filled our expectations. We will sure come back.
This is as close to perfection as it gets. From the moment you arrive, you are treated to a nice cold sorbet to refresh your palette. I got a room on a higher floor with my own jacuzzi tub overlooking the sea. The weather wasn't great when I was there, but I was still able to schedule a customized tour of the island with its breathtaking wats and serene waterfalls arranged by the hotel. Coming back, I was starved and ordered the seafood platter (normally enough for two people) and finished it myself. The black sticky rice and coconut ice cream was also to die for. Did I mention how tasty the breakfast is as well? Every single staff member is so well-trained. I could have stayed there another week!
We had a great stay at Renaissance Koh Samui! The staff were very friendly and helpful and looked after us throughout our stay. The pool, dining options, and spa were excellent and the grounds were lush and well looked after. The hotel made it easy to book a private car for sightseeing and provided free shuttles to town. Overall, we would highly recommend the Renaissance Koh Samui for couples and families.
First time at Renaissance Kho Samui Resort and Spa and it’s wonderful. The property itself is a bit far from Chaweng which considering most popular beach but hey the staff make it so well that I don’t mind staying at La Mai beach. I have to mention K.Oud Lead Navigator for and excellent service since we checked in and through our stay he have been very much help in our tour or car rental and souvenirs. Breakfast buffet and staff is outstanding! We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you to K.Bo and K. Game for an above and beyond service and K.Pinmook for a very yummy recommendation every day! At the pool bar K.Dome and K.James always there the greet us plus K.James have an excellent photo shoot skills too. Also thank you so much to the Housekeeping staff that keeping our room clean and neat everyday (Sorry I couldn’t remember theirs name) Overall it’s just super! Loved it there and definitely be back for a longer stay 5 days is not enough ❤️…
Even as avid travelers, we have rarely experienced a more perfect vacation than the one we spent at Renaissance resort & spa in Koh Samui. The cleanliness of the resort, the perfectly kept grounds and greenery, beautiful pool area and the amazing food and drinks at the restaurants and bars are something the resort can be really proud of. But the one thing that stands out, and which makes all the difference, is the staff! Starting from the front desk navigators, all the restaurants and bars crew, the kitchen staff and chefs, the housekeeping, the gardeners, the security, and everyone else working in the "background" have been nothing less than absolutely amazing! Their genuine kindness, approachability, attention to detail and the highest service quality we have encountered here is the ultimate reason for us to come back for another vacation as soon as possible! We arrived as guests but left as friends! Our love and thanks go out to Lookgolf, Honey, Oab, Bud, Apple, Sugar, Ko, Game, Chin, Dew, Bow, Toni, Woody, Pinmook, Sun, Dome, James, Kik, Pook and to everyone else who’s name we might have forgotten :)…
Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort with my Marriott points. Even before we arrived we were upgraded to a villa with a private pool. The food is great, the drinks are excellent, the views are stunning, but most of all, the people are wonderful. The Pool Bar Team made our stay a delight— they took such good care of us at meals and happy hour and by the pool all day. They were ALL wonderful, and especially Sun, who always has a warm smile and a friendly greeting. We are moving to a condo for another month on the island but we were so impressed with the people and the exceptional service that we are already planning to come back for a visit in the coming days. Also wanted to mention the tranquil and beautiful spa. I had an excellent massage there and the attendant even gave me extra balm for my back pain. Everyone here is so kind and gracious. We have been to Thailand many times before and this is some of the best service we have ever received. Truly a wonderful experience!…
After a not so great check in the management were able to upgrade us to a pool villa for our last two nights. It is amazing!!!! We had a sea view room to start which is perfect for a couple but very compact for a family of four. The bar staff are fantastic especially, Sara who understood my husband is a diabetic and looked after all his food and drink needs. Tang in housekeeping is wonderful. Little notes left daily for us in greeting and she was able to help us locate a missing earring. Above and beyond, The front pool is very inviting and happy hour everyday is just what we needed. There’s also a free shuttle to Lamai and Chewang. Breakfast is delicious, freshly made pancakes to order!
