We had excellent stay & superb service. All staff were great. Kavi the senior manager, his team including Luciana, Cherryma & other support staff were courteous, respectful & helpful. They made our stay very memorable as we were celebrating special birthday. With our party of vegetarians & vegans Kavi & Chef Karan had been flexible & accommodated us very well making special meals. At times we felt that they went above & beyond our expectation ensuring that our stay was great and that we were happy with the service. With checkin very quick, served by Sophia, with welcoming drink and being made relaxed, rooms were very clean & appealing. Pool area is large with all the amenities & bar staff Raja, Ginny, Barry, Damas, Curtis and others were great. Thank you. The hotel is next to the sandy beach with lovely sunsets with good security. The Beach stretches further along the bay where you have access to other local cuisines and bars. All in all great stay. Thank you again to Kavi & the team. We hope to visit again.

We've spend one week of our honeymoon in Story and it couldn't be better. The Hotel is amazing and the staff is very kind and thoughtful. Sohel, our housekeeper was always very kind and every day made us a little surprise to remember how special we are :) A special note for the SPA because it was, with no doubt, the best massage we ever got! Thank you for the amazing service.

What a treasure!! Stayed only 4 nights but wish had booked for longer. From the tremendous welcome from Sophia at Reception right through to being waved off, we had a 5 star experience. Beach Villa 3 was great with lots of space, private pool and access direct to beach. Food & cocktails at Trader Vic's were great & a constant draw. The breakfast service was slick & attentive with lots of choice. Housekeeping excellent. Nice large pool and the whole place always felt spacious. The staff however made this 6 Star! Sophia at Reception is a gem with great service and ready smile & laughter. Lucinda at breakfasts was so kind & fun and Dushan & Carol in Trader Vic's kept pulling us back with superb individual service & kindness. Access to adjacent Fisherman's Cove is easy and well worth visiting, especially for sunsets and there is 20% off food & drinks there too as STORY guests. Other tips: Food & drinks at hotels very expensive so stock up from the many shops locally. Worth hiring a car of a day as great way to see the lovely island of Mahe and MUCH CHEAPER than taxi or transfers. I recommend STORY very highly.

What an absolute pleasure it has been to end our honeymoon at STORY! The hotel did exceed our expectations and deserves our highest praise! A proper luxury hotel with a beautiful sense of detail and personality. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and spacious. We were upgraded upon arrival to a really nice suite. Beds are super comfortable! Pool area is divine, it is a beautiful setting right by the beach with a lot of plants and palms. Pool serving could be a tad more frequent, but after spending a few days by the pool we were immediately approached and asked if we wanted to order something. An extra thank you to Dams, who put the cherry on top in terms of service! He was just so attentive and very nice :) The food at the various restaurants is really really good. My favorite was Eden and Seyshima- the last one making the best tuna teppanyaki I’ve ever tasted! It’s just a really beautiful and nice hotel, with everything you want available. Breakfast is excellent. It has everything you could ever want. The hotel gave us a complementary late check out (until 7pm!) because we had a really late flight. Top of the line guest service right there! Sesel spa is also worth mentioning. I had a wonderful facial as well as a couples massage and it was divine!! I don’t recall the name of the girl who gave me a facial, but she also helped me with an allergy crème for jellyfish-stings on my hands for several days and I really want to thank you for your fantastic kindness and exceptional service!

We spent 1 week in this amazing place. The hotel is very well located, in a wonderful beach. The restaurants are very good and the hotel very nice. But the best is the people!! We were spending our 25th wedding anniversary and the hospitality and the treatment received was amazing. THANKS to all team at STORY hotel for all the unforgettable moments we spent during the whole week. And special THANKS to KAVI (Food and beverages manager), to NEIGE (Guest Services) and all the people at the reception. We will never forget that week!!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We upgraded our room to a beach front villa which was beautiful. If it weren’t for the room itself, we would have given this less of a rating. The food and service was actually terrible. Multiple instances of waiting 20-30 minutes to even get a drink. Multiple instances of having to ask repeatedly for a cup of coffee / or for something before it was given some time later. We have stayed at numerous places for half the cost with much better service and food. We have never written a bad review but for this stay I could not keep quiet. Definitely not worth the money and not a 5 star hotel.

We had an amazing experience at Story Seychelles. The hotel grounds, food, staff and amenities are top notch. All the staff were friendly and accommodating - Priscilla was very kind and friendly with the kids. Also the swimming instructor and day care attendant were very professional. I highly recommend this resort!

We have enjoyed a wonderful weeks stay at the beautiful Story hotel. This was the first week of our honeymoon and we have had a really relaxing visit. The hotel itself is stunning, from the grounds, the rooms and the pool - one of the best pools I have ever had the pleasure to swim in! The mountainous backdrop to the hotel is just perfect - what a view. I swam in the pool each morning before breakfast which was a great way to start the day. We were often the first at the pool at 9am and there were plenty of sun beds available. We stayed in room 27 which was a very good size and had a lovely garden and day bed. On arrival we had a honeymoon cake and bottle of Prosecco on ice which was a nice touch. The bath was lovely as well. We made use of the mini fridge in the room and bought drinks from the supermarket nearby which was much, much cheaper than those in the hotel. The food in the hotel was very good, and the buffet in the evenings did not disappoint. There was a very large selection each evening and a different theme. The beach itself is absolutely perfect! We took a 30 minute beach walk each day to a lovely little ice cream parlour at the end of the row of shops/market. £2 for an ice cream rather than the high prices in the hotel! I cannot fault the friendliness of the staff either, they were all so welcoming and all said hello every time they walked past which was nice. My reasons for giving the hotel 4* rather than 5*… The prices in the hotel were outrageous and we didn’t feel we could spend £15 on a beer or £10 on milkshakes which was a shame. This really took the edge off the stay for us as we felt we couldn’t enjoy the food and drink around the pool as much as we would have like to. Despite the lovely bath, the toilet and shower were not to our liking, the frosted glass on the toilet seems out of date and it lacked privacy. The service in Vascos was very hit and miss, especially at breakfast. We were not given a breakfast menu until the day we left (we didn’t even know there was one so make sure you ask!) and so had to work out what options were available from seeing what other guests were being given. We had to ask several times for tea/eggs and the staff didn’t seem to be able to keep track of orders. Often we were waiting 20 minutes to receive our tea in the morning. When the food did arrive, it was always very good. Overall, we had a very nice stay and enjoyed the pool area and beach very much. It was a lovely start to our honeymoon in the Seychelles!
