Spent six nights here as part of a coaching holiday to Rhine and Moselle area. The hotel is deceptively larger than it appears and occupies a prime position on the bank of the Rhine although I do not believe many rooms actually have a river view. The rooms themselves appear to vary in size a great deal - we had to request a switch from our originally allocated room (no. 30) as it was far too cramped for twin occupancy. The replacement was much better but do not expect anything other than 'dining type' chairs. The TV had a variety of channels - none English language and the only really comfortable way to watch was lying on ones bed. Chambermaid service appeared to consist of making the beds with little other visible evidence apparent - towels not 're-arranged' etc. That said, it was kept clean and we had no complaints. Both breakfast and evening meals were buffet style with the exception of soup being brought to your table in the evening. Food standard was very good with a reasonable choice for mains etc and a selection of items for side salads was always available. Desserts were unimaginative, generally a mousse type offering. No water was provided at evening meals. Breakfast selection was good but withe exception of the boiled eggs, no hot items were available. Good selection of breads (toaster available if required), hams, cold meats and cheeses plus a couple of 'salad' items (tomato and cucumber mainly). - no danish pastries or croissants. Water and juices on offer plus coffee flasks on each table. Tea, if preferred, also available. We found all staff to be friendly and approachable and, from our own experience, dealt with any issues arising well. This hotel seems to have three dining areas but no real lounge. There is a bar area which is quite small (20 or so persons would make it crowded). Accordingly drinks were consumed at dining tables. Osterspai is a fairly small 'village' - so, without your own transport, options for going out exploring are limited. There is a train station quite close to the hotel so getting to Koblenz is possible.

This hotel is on the bank of the Rhine a short distance from Koblenz. It is quintessentially European in design and layout. The rooms are basic but relatively comfortable. However we were disappointed with the evening dinners. There was only soup on offer for starters. The first evening bread rolls were brought out but only when requested and after most people had already finished the soup. On the second evening sliced bread was available. The main course had a choice of two meat dishes with vegetables or salad. The vegetables left a lot to be desired. The meats weren’t explained in English so it was difficult to know what they were. Finally the dessert was just a bowl of Angel Delight/ liquid mousse. The continental breakfasts by contrast were very good. The bar in the hotel only seated about 30 people. There were 38 on our coach and a coach from a different company staying too, as well as other guests. We were therefore obliged to sit in the dining room all evening. I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a beautiful location. The views are outstanding. The hotel has really friendly staff who work very hard to ensure guests are ok. The rooms are a good size but very basic. There is no tea /coffee making facilities but you do get a tv in your room. Sadly it only shows German programs, nothing in English. Quite a few of the rooms are across the back yard in an annex building but you can make use of the main building for eating in the dining room and having a drink in the bar. The music in the bar was very loud when we visited and you couldn't have a quiet relaxing drink or conversation as you can't hear each other over the loud music. The food was very poor. We were given chicken kebab skewers with chips one night, frozen mixed veg, frozen potatoe crochets and hash browns, with chocolate mousse as dessert for our evening meal, none of which appealed to us. The breakfast was slightly better. They do have a selection of ham and cheese's with bread rolls if you dont like frozen kids food. In short the food was deadfull. On the plus side if the food is to your taste its laid out buffet style and you can have as much as you can eat.

This is a diffused hotel, my room was in a separate building on the ground floor with windows facing the back street, you have then to be careful for your privacy. The room was basic but clean, breakfast was quite good served in two separate rooms, nice buffet and the staff overall friendly and helpful. It is a very good option for a short stay in the area. There may not be parking available right at the hotel either at the front or in the backyard. TV offers several international channels, surprisingly, hotel info in the room are in German and Dutch only, no English.

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights as part of a Rhine and Moselle coach tour. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised to be allocated a 'bedroom' that had a sitting room with table and chairs, settee and TV with a wooden staircase leading up to a spacious bedroom that also had a TV, walk in wardrobe and shower room. (Room 34) Only English speaking channel is CNBC. Wifi in rooms is excellent so watched Netflix, Virgin TV Go on tablet. Bedroom had a hairdryer but no kettle or tea making facility. We take a travel kettle. The Lindenhof is in a lovely location by the river Rhine separated only by the riverside road. There are great views across to the vineyards on the other side of the river valley. Food at the hotel was excellent with a hot and cold buffet. My vegetarian wife was however disappointed on the first night with nothing from the hot buffet that she could eat. I spoke to the chef Tomas who brought my wife a loverly Spanish Omlette. Thereafter each evening he cooked her a special vegetarian meal which he brought to our table. My wife said they were delicious and meals she had not had before. We are seasoned coach tour travellers and we had some of the best food and service provided by Tomas. We thanked him at the end of our stay and would say to fellow vegetarians that we highly recommend this hotel. There was no evening entertainment but a 2 hour include drinks package. Overall we had a very comfortable and memorable stay at this hotel.

Stayed with a party from Shearings. Overall great hotel, excellent food, staff friendly and helpful. Even though on a main road a lovely location, right along side the Rhine. I stayed in the annexe part of hotel which was a few steps from the main hotel. Highly recommended.

I stayed here 2 nights in May 2018. Very friendly people. Room was clean with large windows that open (good shutters too). Classic Deutsch breakfast buffet. Nice local place that I would stay at again.

Couldn’t fault this hotel at all. We stayed on the top floor overlooking the street at the back of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bath/shower might be a little awkward for some as it is under a sloping ceiling. Buffet dinner was excellent. Modern bar area. Very enjoyable stay

We stayed in a renovated room on the top floor looking out to the back of the hotel. We were happy with the accommodation, the bathroom was modern. Food was acceptable, there was a buffet both for breakfast and dinner - they seem to host a lot of budget bus tours and are catering to that market. We went there because it was convenient for a large family get-together both in location and for every budget.
