Detailed Reviews
This is a magical hotel in the middle of a forest, right below the Sciliar mountain.
Some of the original old features and decors are maintained. We loved the children playground, the surrounding park with external sauna and the "presence" of the Sciliar. The rooms are spacious, spotless clean and the wifi is good throughout the whole hotel. There are several buses running from the hotel door to the slopes and back, so you are a little secluded but always well connected. The food is delicious and well presented. The personnel (even the youngest waiters and the cleaning staff) is very well trained and professional. The owner is very welcoming and makes you feel always at home with her smile.
There are three children room: two for the younger guests and one for the older children with various games and a climbing wall. There is also a pool table room with dart game for teens and adults.
The spa is good with a large, relaxing pool and two different saunas, one accessible to children as well.
Various activities run every single day: we tried the art class for our children, and the teacher was outstanding; the yoga session was one of the best I have ever tried; the most magical experience was the night with the "witch", singing around the bonfire and walking in the forest with home made torches at night time.
Well done to all the management: now we want to repeat the experience during summer time as well!

Hotel's Favourite
One of the best hotels we stayed in!
They think of every detail! Starting from amazing fine dining experience, very rich and diverse breakfast, honeycombs, home made bread and peanut butter, homemade jams, lots of other options for every picky eater. They adopted the menu to my needs in a perfect fashion!
The hotel is very clean, they also insist on daily cleaning of the rooms. ;)
Super comfortable beds and pillows. In the rooms there are so many shelves and closets that you can always have all the space to yourself.
The views are fantastic! Gorgeous location!
The staff is 95% friendly and patient. The exceptions are due to language limitations from our point of view.
The saunas are available and never crowded.
They answered all our questions, accommodated all our needs, and gave lots of advice for walks around.
They organise daily activities if you want to join their guides.
The personal care products in the room are all of high quality and natural. Your hair will be shining ;)
They diverted the mountain stream through the hotel! So you drink and take shower in precious thermal source daily!
The family who owns it actually works there in all possible roles. The owner herself is very modest lady who can easily serve and pick up dishes. Full respect for that!
The playground is cool! Wooden and spacious.
The sauna outside and the natural pond are just made for a full relaxation.
Yoga in the nature ! Loved it!
They have kids club and kids area (we used it). Very nice ones! The kids nannies are angels. So gentle and kind!!

We had incredible 2 nights at Bad Ratzes. Everything about this place is perfect, the rooms, the food, the atmosphere, but most of all the service. The team made much efforts for us. On arrival we were shown several types of rooms, all were amazing, but our simple room was so nice and spacious that we didn't feel the need to upgrade. Vegan options were made for my wife with care and smile. Each time the hotel manager saw us she took the time to ask if everything was alright, or let us know about a new dish that the chef can make for us. We recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit the area, perfect for a couple holiday to Alpe di Siusi.

We are returning costumers as we love this place, which we visited both in summer and winter.
The hotel is at the end of a road, in the middle of the wood, quite far from the village, which can be reached both by car and bus, or with a 30 minutes walk.
The food is amazing, with some original dishes and has a lot of vegan and vegetarian options.
There are many activities (both for free or for a fee), for kids and adults.
They have just added an outdoor sauna and most of the rooms have been renovated.
It has a retro vibe with many cozy rooms with antique furniture and a fire place room.
Very well kept and clean.
The staff is nice and attentive.

My husband and I spent two amazing nights at Hotel Bad Ratzes during our 14 day Alps road trip. All in all this was our favorite hotel of the 8 well researched hotels we stayed in. Totally first class in every way. From the moment we arrived the staff was attentive and helpful. The views from our room were stunning. The serene sound of the river was reminiscent of our younger camping trips with the added bonus of a luxurious bed! I highly recommend the half board. Food was delicious without being overly fussy. An added bonus to the hotel was the laundry room! While the hotel is situated a fair distance from the village, transportation is plentiful. Our only regret was not staying another few days! God willing, we shall return.

We love everything about Bad Ratzes. The place, the staff, the food, the spa, the rooms. We have stayed many winters for the skiing but this was our first summer and it was wonderful to simply relax by the beautiful salt pool surrounded by all the glorious scenery.

Bad Ratzes is top of our favourite places in the world. It is a rare gem in a beautiful setting. We returned after 6 years to find it better than ever. All the best of the old traditions and comforts are still there but it all feels more modern. Petra has a wonderful team. All the people working there are helpful and welcoming. We loved the new sauna, bio pool and resting areas. We will definitely be back and not leave it so long next time.

This was our third ski trip to stay at Bad Ratzes and unreservedly recommend.
Food excellent, friendly staff and management, nice facilities (esp. the new outdoor spa) and lots of extra activities organised.

Good afternoon,
we would be glad to send you a Taxi. Just let us know arrival time. The Taxi cost 60.00€ one way.
Kindest regards
Eva Scherlin
