A charming boutique hotel in Ao Yon Bay on the beach. Truly barefoot living. 3 bungalows situated meters from beach Lovely Staff do healthy breakfast, lingering into brunch, early evening cocktails and dinner. Fresh seafood bought daily from fishermen, salads from organic farm. The result laid back beachy vibe with dose of sophistication.

Fantastic location right on the beach. The food was exceptionally good, and the bar has a beach-side chill-out vibe. We had an ocean-front bungalow with a relaxing view of the beach, from our lounger on the deck. No swimming pool, however, the beach is so close that this wasn't an issue. I highly recommend The Cove if you want an island chill-out vibe.

Booked this hotel directly with website, after double checking specifics by calling directly. When we arrived the front office manager khun Suthida without even a smile launches into booking issues with no attempt of a remedy. We offer our own solution and start that process, view some rooms with a lovely gentleman., return to front desk Only to be told that she wont accept our passport copies and she needs all original passports for all 7 guests. As locals we don't travel with passports for fear of losing them so we have copies of them ( which has been accepted everywhere else we have stayed) and while I understand the policy her to attitude was the worst we have experienced in thailand. She acted like she was trying to find a reason for us to not stay While waiting on check in we had all settled in to the restaurant to enjoy a long leisurely dinner. The hotel during covid stood to earn a-lot on room and f&b but she acted as if we were an inconvenience and became quite hostile in the end - Refusing to give the name of the owner or next level manager. The other staff looked genuinely embarrassed by her behavior. We had just come from a fantastic few days at other hotels and with kids in tow simply wished to extend the staycation... we ended up just driving down the coast and getting another hotel. What a waste and loss for “the mangrove” all because one manager with a nasty unhelpful attitude of Suthida.

So many positives about this place! Fantastic place to chill and switch off. Staff were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble - particular thanks to Max and Om who really looked after us. Our room was huge, clean and well equipped. Food was great, as were the drinks. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

It’s shameful that I just stayed at this charming boutique villa for only one night due to prior commitment. The villa offered me more than my expectation. My villa is large, well-designed, clean and comfy. Staffs are helpful, service-minded and very attention to details. Food is just great though menu is not quite variety. I would love to visit this hotel again in the future if schedule is allowed.

Great smaller resort and super relaxed - really a good start as we were just looking to unwind and do a whole lot of nothing. The rooms are fantastic - love the modern design. The restaurant is top notch - everything on the menu is great, and the prices are reasonable. It is on a small bay that is pretty shallow, so at low tide it is a bit tough to swim, but overall this place is fantastic!!
