Positive : The hotel itself is pleasant enough. Not 5 star by European Standards . View to Greek Islands amazing ! Negative . Advice to all travellers in Turkey ask BEFORE you check in does the hotel presently have hot water / water after check in your screwed , you will get the same answer as us “We didn’t know you would want hot water “ View to sides of hotel looks like it’s been bombed !

The hotel is beautiful but not a 5* service The rooms are lovely, a good size but ours had a very strong drain smell which we could not clear during our stay. Despite having a tea tray there was no tea or coffee. There was only one bar open, at the pool, which is not conducive to relaxation in the evening time. We had to drink out of plastic glasses both day and night. The food was good with a choice to suit most however they run out of beer and we were force to go through the hotel to obtain a drink for our meal. No waiter service offered when asked. We were on our way to breakfast one morning and were met by the Zabita (polis) who advised us that we had to leave the hotel as there was a building dispute and the hotel was closed there and then and a rope put across the door advising of prosecution if removed. Really not what you want on vacation.

The bed was really comfortable and the Seaview room was lovely, however the quilt didn't reach the bottom of the bed. The food was a let down. It was cold every morning and the toaster didn't work. I could not get any hot water for a shower after leaving it running for 10 mins. They requested i do this. I asked to be moved which they did but it took 10 mins for any hot water to come through that room too. The cleaning could have been better too. Windows etc. The floor in the lift had not seen a brush for a long time. Very nice decor etc but not worth the cost.

I enjoyed my stay at City Point. It is in a great location walking distance to all the attractions of Altinkum Beach. The hotel territory is compact, but well planned out. It did not feel crowded in September, but may be different in the summer. My room was very spacious and modern. I loved sitting on the balcony and admiring the sea view. I also really enjoyed going to the SPA. It is a lovely and tastefully decorated relaxation space with soothing music that will put your mind at ease. I had SPA treatments with Suat. He is a highly skilled massage therapist who takes great pride in his work. I would highly recommend him. Hamid and the Russian lady in SPA Reception are lovely as well. In general, City Point staff were very helpful every time I asked them for something. I would be happy to stay at City Point again.

Nice hotel in a good location. Comfortable rooms. The beach is small but there are no problems with finding a place to rest. The hotel staff is really friendly, helpful and professional. Great SPA. Best regards for Hussein (Patron) and Suat (MASAJ USTASI) - thank you for all the conversations, fun and smile everyday!

The hotel is clean and modern, the spa is amazing, however the food is disgusting and cold, I like to try different food but didn’t want to risk it. The beds have a tiny little blanket which is the size of a baby’s blanket and that’s pushing it. The pool is extremely cold, small and most of the sun loungers are broken. We spent 90% of our time out of the hotel just purely because of the food and the cold pool, the sea was warmer so was pointless paying for all inclusive, oh and the cocktails, well there aren’t any really and if they do make you one it’s disgusting. Nothing really luxurious about it apart from the appearance but the novelty wears off within an hour of arrival. Some of the staff are more than helpful, others are just rude, especially if you’re English. The surrounding areas are okay, most of the locals are friendly and it’s very chilled out.

So far away to be a 5 stars, no glass in the bathroom, an industrial shower gel dispenser in the cubicle, bathroom not cleaned as it should have been, 1 paper cup for coffee or tea, fridge containing 1 bottle of water and not very cold inside. No coms in the room regarding laundry service, or anything else , spa, breakfast/ lunch/ supper service etc.. Ver basic, I would classify a 2 to 3 star.

We would never normally complain about anyone’s hotel or business but we were extremely disappointed with this hotel after expecting it to be 5 stars like it claimed. We went for the ultra inclusive package which included everything from food to drinks and to a “private beach”, I’ll start by saying the room was absolutely 5 stars, it was a beautiful room with a large bed and balcony however on the first night we were extremely uncomfortable due to the air conditioning not working, it was automatically set to a 2 hour timer so it would shut off after 2 hours and we were told that setting can’t be changed, by 3:30am we couldn’t cope with it any longer so I went down to reception to ask for a fan, the reception desk is meant to be manned 24/7 but there was no one there. I had to ask security at the front door to find someone, by 4am there was still no sign of anyone, the security guy told me the receptionist had a “bad stomach” when he was actually just outside smoking cigarettes. By 5am he came to our door with a fan absolutely caked in dust which had obviously not been used since the 70’s, he hadn’t bothered to even turn it on to see if it worked so when we got it in the room the whole thing fell apart and wouldn’t turn on. By 5:30am we had packed our things to leave and was down at reception for him to offer us a new room at the opposite side of the hotel, this was cooler thankfully just frustrated it took about 3 hours for it to be resolved. The food at the hotel was shocking, we lived off Turkish rice and salad because the food wasn’t under any sort of heat lamp, or had any means of keeping the food hot. We absolutely love Turkish food and by no means just wanted chicken nuggets and chips but by tonight for dinner that’s what we would have preferred. All of the meat was freezing cold and had been sitting there from 7-9pm, we were extremely disappointed considering all the reviews online said it was 5⭐️, the drinks we had were completely watered down and cocktails came from a carton, so we just stuck to water. The “private beach” was not private whats so ever, the sand was covered in fag ends and rubbish that hadn’t been cleaned from previous days, we stayed all of 15 minutes. All in all, we have stayed in better 3/4 star hotels compared to this, we were the only English people there too which we aren’t bothered about at all, but we had no means of communication with anyone the whole day we were there. We were meant to check out tomorrow at 12pm but we decided to check out tonight instead as it was just completely underwhelming, we explained to the man on reception about how we felt and he basically just said thanks for your opinion, so I would absolutely avoid city point hotel in altinkum! Spend your money elsewhere.

Staff at hotel was not very helpful . They were helpful on what’s app giving information about what rooms were available . I assume they must get paid commission because they were very persistent about me booking a room . I manage to book room . Man at front desk just gave me room number / card didn’t even give me a WiFi password when I asked , never even explained about anything about the hotel , room service , any of the faculties in hotel . There was one man kind enough to carry my bag up to my room . Room was quiet good size but bed linen was dirty pillow cases towels dirt on floor of bathroom , hair in bathroom , stains on bed and pillow cushions there wasn’t even toilet paper . Paper cup for drinking coffee . Seriously and they call this hotel 5 stars I think not . It was not worth the stay and overly priced for what it is worth . Which was bit of a disappointment. Carly
