This place was incredible and one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Check in was a breeze and accompanied by cold cloths, juices, cookies, and very friendly staff. The room was beautiful with lots of natural light. Very clean, airy, and so comfortable. There was a mini fridge with complimentary snacks and drinks that were refilled daily and a private pool that sadly didn’t get much use with all the other great amenities at the resort.

The beach and pool area were dreamy. We spent most of our time at the beach since the water was so calm, shallow, and crystal clear. The staff brought us fruit, iced water, and cool face mist without us even asking anytime we were there. There are paddle boards and kayaks to use as well.

The breakfast was simple but had a good selection. The buffet had the usual fruits, pastries and breads, salad, meats and cheeses, as well as a Thai style noodle or rice dish and mini dessert. That would have been enough but you can also order from the menu for Asian and International dishes. We had drinks and dinner at the restaurant one night and it was delicious! Service was great and the chef came around and checked in with each table individually.

If you’re looking for a place super lively and social, this may not be your cup of tea but we loved how calm and relaxing the vibe was. It was always so peaceful and quiet. When we left one of the managers who checked in on us throughout our stay, Oliver, came by to see us off. It was such a relaxing and luxurious stay, we can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Cape Fahn in late December, and hotel wise it was the highlight of our honeymoon. We also stayed on the mainland and in the Maldives.

We arrived by boat and were greeted with an upgraded room, which was a lovely bonus. Unfortunately the weather was not great for our three day stay, but it meant we got to enjoy the room and the hotel facilities even more. (As a side note we did have 7 out of 9 sunny days in Thailand).

The whole resort felt classy, and it has been designed very tastefully. The rooms are stunning. Modern, with light colours used and nice touches everywhere you look. The highlight of the rooms though are the mattresses. Without doubt the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!!

I would thoroughly recommend the massages. After our first massage we did a lucky dip with the therapist and I pulled out a half priced return massage. My wife pulled out a free afternoon tea. All these little touches go a long way.

What makes this resort extra special though are the staff. The managers Olivier and Timo were fantastic hosts and always made sure we were looked after, without being intrusive. Everyone from the cleaners, to the chefs, were so friendly and helpful and they could not do enough for us.

Talking of chefs, you will not get better food on Koh Samui. The chef had a Michelin star in Bangkok and has opened up his new restaurant on the resort. We had some stunning meals there. Not expensive either.

Breakfast also had a great choice and variety. We learnt how to cook a traditional Thai dessert one day, and they also have happy hour cocktails every early evening.

All in all I would thoroughly recommend Cape Fahn. Aside from all the above, it is also well located for Fisherman's village, boat trips, and a number of beach clubs etc if you wanted to venture out one day or night.

I had the chance to visit the spa at this wonderful resort twice, the last time just before I returned to Bangkok. Khun Tu was the best therapist I have met so far. Everything she did was 5stars. She has very good techniques, pays attention to details and the spa room was very nicely prepared. The whole atmosphere at this hotel makes you feel wonderful. I will visit the spa at this hotel every time I go back to Koh Samui. I hope Khun Tu will still be there. Thank you very much!

We stayed in Cape fahn last January 2020. As we checked into the hotel, much to our surprise the receptionist explained that we would be charged for the extra 3rd person. We argued this as we booked for 3 people on Hyatt's website with points and were not notified clearly that we would be charged for the 3rd person. However, the receptionist would not accommodate and seeing everyone in our family so tired from traveling we forcefully had no other options but to pay this hidden charge.

We still enjoyed the room, especially the soft bed, and the beach activities provided (although the brochure offered sailing but that apparently wasn't something they offered which I feel they should also update and remove from their room brochure). Our private pool had a lot of bugs so we didn't really use that very much. The restaurant Long Dtai also served really fresh seafood and provided great service.

Although we had a nice experience over the two nights we stayed there, we will unfortunately still remember it most for the hidden charges for the 3rd person and their unwillingness to even understand why we were so frustrated and not credit those charges. Its a very different customer service experience from what we had when staying at the Conrad Koh Samui which didn't charge any hidden charges for the 3rd person and made it a more complete memorable experience.

Dear lirachan8, Thank you for writing about your stay with us last January. We are naturally very grateful for all the positive elements that you mention despite the confusion on your arrival. We believe that there must have been some unfortunate misunderstanding on the booking channel that you used. Surely it is logical to assume that a hotel will charge for extra guests sharing a room with breakfast. Insects are, of course, a natural part of a tropical ecology but we do all we can with non-toxic fumigation to keep the inconvenience to a minimum. Nevertheless, we hope that, in view of the many aspects of our hotel that you enjoyed, we may have the pleasure of seeing you all back in the future. Went there amidst the corona situation so we were in one of the four villas occupied at that moment (out of 22 villas). Super private place, very calm (not the place to be if you want a party vibe). Most of the time, you won't run into other guests at the hotel. Food was great, both at Hue and at Long Dtai (the latter: Southern Thai food by chef David Thompson, very niche and well-thought about. Staff were friendly and helpful, however, some were too enthusiastic and asking too much about how everything was going (this could be because the hotel was quite empty). Also, when we were told before there would be a moonlight cinema, and at the end, the screening was on the reading room's TV instead, we asked the Hue staff why it wasn't a moonlight one, and they looked blank, not knowing what to say, this could be improved on as well even though later on she came to explain why that happened. This didn't negatively affect our experience though, just something the hotel could improve on to be stellar.

Hotel decoration, spa, kayaking were great. Every spot at Cape Fahn is instagrammable! We booked the Deluxe Pool Villa and got upgraded to Bayview Pool Villa by the GM Timo (whom we met on the transfer boat and he also gave us a complimentary 1.5 hr spa! Thank you!). Lastly, more effort could be put into guest experience when they enter the villa. Decoration and space are great for the villa, but the layout could possibly be more practical and comfortable.

Cpe Fahn is a beautiful property that caters to couples looking for a romantic and quiet experience.
The Resort was very well maintained. This was expected given it has been recently opened. Rooms are beautifully designed and decorated and the private in-room pool is very big and serves as an ideal place to hang out and chill.
The breakfast is served in a nice setup. I would have expected more to be offered but no complaints. It’s more about what the eye sees. But all the food was tasty and readily available.
The spa can be labelled as a work in progress. I believe more effort can be put to elevate the quality of the service and vibe of the spa facilities.
The resort is relatively small so it gives you the much needed privacy you would seek if looking to stay in Cape Fahn.
All in all, it is a beautiful Resort, and really stands out among what Koh Samui offers but management should continue working on the fine details to bring it up to the highest standards.
Good luck and thank you for a wonderful stay!

I treated myself to a little private retreat for 5 nights at Cape Fahn and was simply blown away by the quality and standard of everything from the rooms, to the shared facilities, the spa and all the staff. The villas are simply exquisite and provide you with every luxury, I only left my room to enjoy the amazing spa treatments and eat! It feels incredibly private yet you feel incredibly well looked after and all details are managed with the utmost care and attention. I also appreciated the effort the resort makes to be environmentally responsible.

When you first arrive, there is a friendly staff who will meet you, and there will be a car to pick you up to the restaurant. The environment is very beautiful, the swimming pool is also large, and you can also see the sea view. The rooms are simple-style building facilities, stylish and comfortable. The bedroom door is floor-to-ceiling, and you can see the sea view through the door, which is great! If you don’t want to swim in a public swimming pool, your house is also equipped with a swimming pool, which is very private. The most important thing is that the staff are very friendly and comfortable to get along with you and will not make you feel uncomfortable. I hope I can have a chance to go next time.

We arrived at the Welcome reception on the mainland . Within minutes we were taken to the island by boat for the 3 minute crossing.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff who whisked us to the restaurant on the beach in one of the resort’s buggies.
They offer a regular boat service to go back and forth to Chongmon on the mainland . This also has one of the finest beaches on the island with many restaurants .
Cape Fahn is set on a lush tropical island .The views are truly amazing!
Much thought had been out into the soft, warm decor.
The staff were charming and attentive.
Lunch is served next to the pool which overlooks the white sandy beach.
Beautiful, luxury sun loungers around the pool create the feeling of being in a private tropical island villa.
I ordered the “Pad Char Talay Tai “ , a wok-fried dish of scallops, king prawns, squid mussels, In a chili & ginger sauce, green peppercorns , ginger and sweet basil.
The dish was the best I have ever tasted. Full of flavours dancing on the tongue!
My partner ordered the Wagyu beef burger
with caramelised onions, cheddar, bacon, chives, lettuce and cocktail sauce. He said it was delicious 😋.
The whole experience was unforgettable.
Will we go back? Oh yes !!

The little private island of Fahn is a perfect hideaway for those who love quiet and secluded place with beautiful beaches , views and location. We arrived on a sunny day and were quite amazed by the colors of the ocean. Soft sea breeze incessantly blew me away as well as the hospitality of the staff made me feel so comfortable with the place.
What to be improved: Low water pressure in the shower was the worst issue that spoiled our stay at the horizon village. At Long Tai, we ordered four southern Thai seafood dishes, the recommended signature dishes were quite delectable exceeding all the expectations but the other two dishes really had such a nasty taste that we nearly left untouched. Any way, breakfast was meticulously prepared and delicious, thus making up for that miserable dinner.
