We went just as the hotel opened for the year, it was very quite and only a few more visitors there along with us. But this suited us perfectly. We made friends with all the other visitors there and we would often go exploring the local towns/attractions and restaurants together in big groups. Imagine 10 separate couples/families going exploring together.
The staff were also lovely, when we arrived we were given complimentary drinks and someone escorted us to our room carrying our luggage for us while giving us a thorough tour on the way to the room. Also nice to see that older guest and their luggage were treated with extra care and drove to their rooms in gold carts over having to walk. Three of the the men reps including funzy, Alex and another gentleman were super friendly and were always willing to sit and chat with us. Plan activities and help us with booking attractions such as camels and quad biking.
The room had plenty of room for both me and my partner and it was a lovely, had free condiments, a safe for valuables (that you can make your own code up too) and compliments. It’s was the same size as a small flat. The same lady cleaned our room everyday (but they do give you a sign to put on your door if you don’t wish it to be cleaned) and she did a superb job, very friendly and always put in the extra effort to leave flowers and beautiful towel figures.
Only negatives I can think of is the men asking you to do attractions, I would approach them if I wanted to do the attractions. Also a lot of renovation was going on and you could hear it at night, the beach wasn’t completed but we were happy with just the pools as there is many options to chose from. I also understand they have scheduled food times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But there is no other options for food other than having to wait till they start serving. Found myself starving and having to wait till 6, to go get the food and they would tell us the food wasn’t ready so we had to wait longer. (Although the food was delicious, with a wide variety from savoury/deserts and fruit/salads!)

The Mirage Resort and Spa has been an experience to say the least. Upon entering your hotel, you are greeted with a long lit up private drive, which is guarded by security 24/7. The hotel has been furnished to a modern fresh finish. There are some bits in the rooms and around the resort which definitely need a touch up and some handy work. The resort has 3 pools which are fit for all ages surrounded by lots of sun beds and seating areas in the shade. The resort does have an amazing entertainment team who are putting up activities during the day and in the evening 6 days a week! The resort has a lovely aura to it and the out doors is just a nice place to chill in, especially if you’re all inclusive as the drinks are easily accessible. The waiters/servers are always happy to help. The beach is a couple of minutes walks from the main resort. It’s a lovely beach. The porters are great at taking and bringing suitcases to you! Definitely tip them, as the resort is massive and there is quite a bit of walking. The cleaning ladies are also lovely, they come daily and will do the basic cleaning but when asked for something extra they’re happy to do so. The hotel rooms are lovely. They have a mini living room and bedrooms separate. Nicely decorated. Air con is amazing, with remotes that work! Lots of wardrobes in the rooms and storage!
Although there are many many positives to the resort, as an English speaking person it is difficult to communicate with the waiters/porters/receptionists due to the fact they only speak Arabic or French. The hotel is catered towards French, Italian and Russian holiday goers. As a result the food is also catered towards French, Italians and Russians. The food isn’t very continental and it is the same stuff every day. There is also a lack of flavour in the food, so be mindful if you are all inclusive as it’s 3 meals a day of the same food.
All in all it was a great holiday, but there could be little improvements to enhance the stay and make the hotel inclusive for all people and cultures.

We stayed here from 20th June until 4th July, the staff were pleasant and very happy to help. (Only one staff member was rude and you could tell he didn’t like British tourists, he worked at the beach bar very rude and ignorant would refuse to serve us but served all other nationalities who we were with after volleyball)
Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, waiters were very attentive and pleasant they went out their way to remember names and drinks orders.
Very child friendly our children loved every second of the holiday the pools were cleaned daily and surrounding areas such as tables by loungers were cleaned multiple times.
Weather was beautiful didn’t drop below 30 for the whole of the two weeks.
Only thing I would say needed to change is information regarding exchanging of money as we were told to take our bank card but once there they only exchanged for notes, so we went into town to use the cash point instead.
Thank you for making our first abroad holiday with our children special!
100% would recommend.

English people, do not come to this hotel!!! We are currently here and it is shocking. After reading the reviews we still decided to book as everyone has different opinions about places and thought it can’t be that bad, but how wrong were we!!! From arrival we have had multiple problems and reported every day to reception and Tui rep Nidal, we are into day 7 and cannot wait to go home on day 12. They are now trying to change us rooms, we have looked at 2 and both them had problems, we are not moving from 1 room with issues (mainly shower floods bathroom and leaks all into room) to another with issues!! I have made a daily list of issues and if they have yet been fixed or not. The cleaner is shocking, 3 days she has left us with no clean towels or water or toilet roll meaning we had to go to reception and ask for them. Beach towels is another issue, there never is any, reception just say come back in half hour, but when you go back there still is none!! Any issues reception say they will fix them to fob you off, they don’t get done!!
The hotel caters for the French, Tui has recently become part of this hotel and has no authority or understanding how the hotel works!!
The entertainment is done in French, they cater for the French, the games are for the French, everything is aimed at the French. There is no Taverna restaurant or Al A Carte as advertised by Tui, there is just a buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a beach restaurant which is open 12-3 for lunch. The food is always the same and cold, I also found a piece of plastic baked in a bread roll.
We are not the only English couple to complain, there are several English people here and all have put complaints in and are still waiting for them to be rectified.
We had no safe, kettle, cups, towels, hairdryer, no patio table, no sofa all as advertised. Tv is no tuned in and today they tell us there is a problem with about 15 bungalows with the same problem. The telephones in the rooms are not connected either.
The hotel is undergoing refurbishment which is very much needed.

I just came back from my long waited vacation at The Mirage resort and while the whole holiday was not a disaster, the hotel had multiple problems that can ruin you holiday mood. First of all, and the most upsetting is choosing one room and after getting there receiving a totally different room. I will attach photos with the room I chose (there are the same photos on their official website and booking) and the room I actually got. After discussing with the manager about the situation, his aswear was that “the photos on the website were wrongfully uploaded and that is he already called a photographer to upload the good photos”. Keep in mind that 2 weeks later, there are still the same photos on the internet, nothing changed. Nevertheless, it is not my fault for a mistake that was not mine. I expect when I book a room based on photos, to be almost the same with the photos. For 2 days they lied that they will try and change our room but didn’t have any availabilities, however after getting 15€ “tip” they found a rooms for us in 10 minutes. After talking with other guests in the hotel we found out that this was normal practice for them, giving tourists worse rooms to make you pay for the ones you chose. Please keep in mind that the room we first received does not appear in any of the photos on their website. For getting a table ouside (we are smokers) we had also to pay a “tip” because all the tables were “reserved” by other people, even though I have never heard of table reservation when all inclusive. For everything you had to pay a “tip” to get what was normal to receive. Also, some rooms are clean, some are not, it depends on your luck. The beach had a very nice smooth sand, great water, not very deep. The only inconvenience was that the beach bar opened officially at 10 am, but the employers came whenever they wanted between 10:30 and 11.
Overall Tunis was a nice experience but I would never return to The Mirage Resort& Spa!

We just arrived today with my family, a sequence of bad surprises! Starting from reception where only one person taking care of a huge facility! We were first sent to the wrong room, like half mile from the reception carrying our own luggage, the they realised the mistake, we had to walk again to new two bedroom bungalow, to save energy probably ac was off at 35 degree the rooms were like sauna! Surprise number 2, wc was broken and flooded, ac not working, we had to host the maintenance team for an hour, we left them on the room, and went to dinner, on arrival stuff were fixed but room not cleaned at all!
Dinner horrible, pasta and pizza with probably frozen lamb.
We are having two kids, there was only one 75 ml water bottle on the room, was just on the phone with reception, they literally said" we put that bottle of water as commercial gesture for our guests, otherwise go buy from the bar"!
I have been travelling my whole life in tunisia and abroad, never seen such a miserable service. Please dont get fooled by internet pictures,!

Arrived on the 26th May for a 10 night stay when we arrived we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome with a smile and a tea each. We were a party of 7 people 4 adults 3 children. We were shown to our room which was quite away from the main hotel and pool but it was beautiful so spacious and elegantly decorated. You could hear the sea from the terrace and it was a short walk to the beach. The food could be hit and miss in the restaurant best night was the Tunisian night where the food was amazing (be careful with you chicken sometimes it’s still pink) on the first night we tipped our waiter and from then on he always saved us a table remembered what we drank and made sure on his day off his fellow waiter looked after us (I didn’t get either of their names) the other restaurants were still closed when we visited which was a bit of a-shame. I do have to say there is one lady of a morning who does the doughnuts who was so lovely and there is a chef of a evening who was dishing out deserts who had the most infectious smile again didn’t get his name but you seriously can’t miss him didn’t speak great English but tried and my daughter loved him. The main bar was nice and chilled there was sofas and chairs with 2 TV’s and little side rooms which I thought was a nice added touch. The bar staff were amazing always remembered your drinks always so happy greeting you with a smile one man who’s name was Saif was so lovely it was our daughter birthday while we were there and he had gone out and bought her a little bracelet and sang happy birthday to her when she walked into the bar also on our daughter birthday our waiter decorated the table with fresh flowers and bought out a cake and sang happy birthday with some of the entertainment staff and some of the chefs out the kitchen they went above and beyond and the maid also decorated the room with fresh flowers and a towel in the shape of a heart. You can’t knock this hotels for being clean there was always a maid in the toilet cleaning the floors or making sure there was toilet roll. Lastly you have the entertainment staff there are 3 different ones the international the French and the Italian didn’t really have much to do with the Italian. The French were good at the kids disco and their entertainment evening was really good some of them I found weren’t very overly friendly but I have to say my son loved playing football with Aladdin. The international entertainment team were amazing Mariem was so welcoming tried to get the kids to go to kids club but they weren’t having it she is also an amazing dancer so is hamza there Arabian night show was so good my 7 year old didn’t move she loved it. Marwen made our holiday he got us involved in all the day and evening activities he always had time to talk to us and the children. The international entertainment team are a huge asset to this hotel.

Amara Tour recommends the 5-star mess at the Mirage Hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia! Poorly said, it exudes a sad, deserted air. Lunch is served in a sloping building, where tourists struggle for a place at insufficient tables, made of rusty tin! On the beach, the small shadows, desired and unstable, are ready to give their garden to the pope, on the seashore, paved with altered algae and camel dung. Mice and mosquitoes frolic happily in the rooms. Old and yellowed linen and towels only change with older and more yellowed ones! It is good to know those who give up to 900 euros for a stay of 7 days / person! Does the Tunisian owner of Amara Tour know?

I have avoided going to Tunisia for years based on what others have said but I wanted some early sun for my friends 40th Birthday and this seemed like the best place. We booked with EasyJet Holidays who I would highly recommend, from the flight (just under 3 hours) to the transfers and general feel of the holiday I would go back again. This is the prettiest resort in the area, lots of open space and grass and trees. The pools are huge and I imagine in summer all the other bars and restaurants will really make this place feel alive. I really wanted some peace and quiet and this place delivered, we had a 2 bed suite in the main hotel with 2 bathrooms one with a bath and shower over and the other with a huge walk in shower. There was also a large lounge with a rather firm sofa bed and a pretty balcony overlooking the pool areas and outside bar.
Our meals were in the main restaurant and we had Sassy look after us. He’s polite and you feel he is being pushy at first but they are the best waiters I’ve experienced in all inclusive resorts. The food choice was amazing! There is no British food at all. And remember no pork at all so bacon is off limits and all sausages are beef or turkey etc. there is a lot of Turkey and beef dishes and the desserts are lovely.
The bar staff are a little bit more abrupt at times but all kind and if off season bring your drinks over the other side of the pool for you.
The entertainment staff and management are the true stars of this resort. Hana, Chams and the rest of the boys and their manager are the most fun. Every night the children’s club sing songs and I’m still singing them now. Each night has a theme and there is lots to do everyday.
We booked a 2 day desert safari booked before we travelled with EasyJet and this was just mind blowing. The tour guide was fun and all the other people on the tour were fun and friendly.
I really didn’t want to leave this hotel at all. The weather was gorgeous the whole time. The only thing I would say is wear beach shoes when in the beach as there is glass in the sand but not around the sunbeds or on the seashore. The camel man needs a firm no and he will race down the beach to meet you lol
I would go back in summer to see all the other parts open and to see the staff again. Book it. You won’t be disappointed!

Honest review
We arrived at the hotel super late (3am) due to a delayed flight... The reception staff where very helpful and got us checked in quickly... There's a tax to pay on arrival which we didn't know about and because Tunisia is a closed currency we had no money at all... There's a cash machine that charges a fee... The receptionist took the bags up to the room and gave us a quick tour..
The room was absolutely incredible 2 rooms both with en suites and a large living area with balcony... There's a TV that's pointless as it's all local TV on arrival you get coffee and tea but it isn't replenished without asking.. They do bring water and can ask for water at the bar... Room is very clean and they turn it up daily even putting pyjamas into patterns on the bed.... Also worth noting you don't get a quilt just a sheet which is ok when it's hot but I like a quilt.
Day 1 we headed down to the breakfast which is what you'd expect at an all inclusive resort a lot of choice but all a bit samey unless your adventurous enough to try stuff just labelled as beef....
The 3 pools are incredible so clean and varying depths with plenty of seating around them....
Evening entertainment is very geared towards the French and there isn't a lot for kids just a 30 min kids dance... Hotel didn't feel overly geared towards kids and there wasn't that many on our stay.
Day 2 we headed to the beach where we got thrown on a camel without much choice and then hounded for 180 dinars for the privelage... The beach isn't excessively clean a lot of dirt in the water...
We spent the rest of the day around the pool
NOW for the best bits.... The staff are incredible the bar staff the wait staff and hana the kids club person literally made the whole holiday they are so interactive and cannot do enough to help.... They take tips but honestly they deserve them...
There is a shop on site that sells most things including red bull thankfully... However they don't sell painkillers so my day 2 migraine was saved by another family having pills
Over all the hotel is lovely but very average the staff however are 11 out of 10 and made the holiday everything it was...
Pics are taken by a photographer at the pool but no pressure to buy and actually reasonably priced

Hiya, to be honest the beach at the mirage isn’t the prettiest or cleanest! Although perhaps a prettily decorated romantic table at the beach restaurant could be arranged around sunset, I’m sure the staff would be happy to help with that! That would be lovely…… good luck!
Yes on a Saturday foam party 4pm till 5pm
În the bungalows it is not all Time a very good wi fi, but around the pool it is ok
