I had not stayed at this hotel for some time. It is still a beautiful building, very well located and conveniently close to my business daytime activities and pelty of good options to eat nearby. The room was very comfortable and clean and the attention of everyone at the hotel was good. Breakfast though, was really dissapointing. Following sanitary restrictions the area had much less tables than usual, so it looked a bit gloomy, no decoration or table cloths. Buffet was available, with most dishes being served by hotel employees. I decided to try it...coffee, juice, fruit, “a la mexicana” scrambled eggs with bacon on the side to start with. Probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had. The bacon was tasteless and chewy. Some sweet was added to the already cut and prepared fruit and it was extremely sweet. Being put off by all this, I did not feel like trying other dishes. Far from what I expected, and worse, it was expensive. …
Worst hotel ever, with the worst service ever, never ever stay in this lower hotel when no one speaks English and they do not accept any other bookings like expedía, kayak or any other travel agency, they will double charge you.
My only "complaint" is that the light on the smoke detector is very bright. When the lights in the room are off, the light flashes are very annoying! I don't know if you can do anything about it, or if any other guests have complained.
If you are looking for a safe place to rest, this is not the hotel you are looking for. They have weddings and other events and the music is incredible high. The manager doesn’t do anything about it. Nobody can sleep. The service is just horrible.
The rooms are terribly dated. Purple carpet, stains on dresser tops, windows dirty, no bathtub (shower only), no coffee pot in room. Linens threadbare. I was Ill so called down to ask for more towels and security guar, manager showed up at door an hour later to see what was problem. We tried speaking what little Spanish we know, but they don’t have many employees who speak any English. Very unlike other places in Mexico we had visited. Didn’t drink water, washed and sterilized hands constantly, still got sick. Won’t be back....
