We have just returned from a week at the Oceanis with Alex and family. The hotel had wonderful views and was extremely clean. We loved having the cats coming to visit us! There are a lot of steps but by the end of the week my stiff joints and breathlessness eased!!! Although many tavernas had closed for the season the ones remaining open were excellent. We hired a car with the hotel for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the beautiful island. We were lucky to have been able to go on a boat ride with a few of the other hotel guests which was great fun. The weather was superb. We feel that we have met other friendly people who we hope we have the honour to keep as friends. We intend to return in the future but will book directly with Alex next time. Thanks. Sue and Tim

Alex at this hotel goes beyond helpful. He is wonderful at looking after you. The hotel has fantastic views. Alex will always give you a lift to the centre, he also collects you. He made our holiday. Our room was a superior room with great views from the balcony. A large but basic room. The hotel has a lot of steps. Breakfast is a help yourself to cereal toast cake fruit ect. The pool area was always empty. It is a ten minute walk to Poros, It has steps and a hill to track down. So a lift from Alex was great. We hired a car from hotel which was very easy to do. The weather was wonderful every day.

This family-run hotel is great - but the location is a bit remote, so you need to rent a car, and you can do so directly through the hotel. The staff, the pool, the view, and the tranquil area are perfect for relaxing on Kefalonia. Airport pickup (a 50-minute ride) is offered for a fee. There is an outstanding taverna (named Agrapidos) nearby. During Covid the hotel offers a nice breakfast with good variety and drinks at the lovely poolside bar - no snacks or dinner are offered on-site, so you'll need to walk to the port for snacks or drive into the nearby Poros town. Our room with balcony was basic, but functional. Alexander and family try very hard to please the guests and they do a great job. Would stay here again for sure!

This was our second time at this family run hotel. I chose it because in these uncertain times, I knew that the family would be supportive should there have been any covid related glitches, questions re testing etc. Alexander, the son, who speaks English, as well as several other languages was incredibly helpful. The hotel itself is in a fabulous, elevated position overlooking the harbour with a lovely, infinity style pool. The buffet breakfast contained plenty of fresh fruit as well as home made croissants, cake, yoghurts, cereals, scrambled eggs and much more. They were very mindful of covid and took appropriate precautions, so I felt completely safe. A big thanks to the whole family for a warm and welcoming experience!

I returned last week from yet another wonderful stay at the Oceanis. Despite the extreme difficulties that Alexander and his lovely family were courageously dealing with this year they gave me the warmest welcome as always and I felt that I had come home again. It was my fifth visit and I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Poros. The reviews say it all really and I would highly recommend if you are looking for the most attentive hosts and spectacular views in a peaceful setting. Home from home.
