We had great 3 weeks, made good friends there, Yaula,Kirios, and Monika were great people. We felt like a great family and friends. Everyone who stayed there during our 3 weeks, had great fun. Great Greek food, slightly more expensive now than expected. Excursion by boat to visit 7 islands, was great. There is buses to Lefkas €1.60 per person. Please note that the hotel has no left. We had ground floor apartment. Smoking is something that should be banned from all restaurants.
Just back from a week at the Yannis and wanted to say thanks to the family that run it and their staff. Hotel was in great location, spotlessly clean and very friendly. So much to do locally and plenty of bars/restaurants on the doorstep as well as private boat hire and organised boat trips to explore beautiful islands Will definitely be back
I stayed for a week in August last year and was really impressed by this small friendly hotel. We had a third floor sea view room with a fantastic view. Already booked for this year and really hope to get a Seaview room again.
A last minute break brought us to Yannis Hotel in Nydri. We were met by the lovely, welcoming Voula, who showed us to our rooms. Beautifully presented rooms, nice bathroom (shower with door!) Very clean. Beds comfortable and plenty of coat hangers/wardrobe space. Kettle, mugs and glasses in the room too. Breakfast good and bacon, eggs available as a small extra cost. The owner is a character!! Very dry sense of humour but friendly, polite and helpful. Had some interesting conversations with him!!!!! He also gave my husband a parting gift of a Greek liquer Wouldn't hesitate to go back. The hotel overlooks the sea with a 5 minute walk to the beach/tavernas and bars. A fab holiday
Lovely stay. Great room and views. Food and drink great. Lovely welcoming family. No complaints. Last week of the season so resort was quiet but enough places open to enjoy a great holiday. Owner was great fun.
I stayed at this Aporthotel towards the end of September this year(2021). by myself for a friends wedding. There were 3 other couples who stayed at the same time and I don’t know whether they will add a review but they certainly felt the same about the extremely rude, aggressive and arrogant owner. We are looking at going to Nidri again but we won’t visit this establishment even for a drink. At first I was unhappy with the hotel as I requested a third floor room with a sea view. What I got was 1st floor(right at the top of the stairs) with a marginal view of the sea through an ally way. But I reconciled myself as the room was clean and not too shabby. The lady who seemed stressed but was very welcoming heaved my very bag up two flights of stairs(I told her I could help, but she refused) into an spacious but old looking room with two single beds!!! Anyway, as I said I was able to put all that aside and appreciate the hotel and the lovely village of Nidri. The problem came when interacting with the owner. Now in all fairness I will say that the owners father had just died that week and we were all respectful of the families grieving. But the owner is a rude, aggressive, arrogant man. I’m not the only one who had problems with him, as I said previously all who stayed at the hotel concluded the same thing separately and only just started to talk about our experiences. My particular problem started after my friends wedding, another friend came to my room for a shower and to change(we were swimming in the sea). The owner came to my room and told us my friend had to “get out”(she was wearing a towel). He stated that he did not have her vaccine papers and we are using his water. Now I understand about the CoVid Vaccine(I had been on a boat with my friend and 20 other people sssooo) and we did apologise as it didn’t cross my mind. But I can use as much water as I want in the room I’m paying for!. He continued when we went to the bar to say we have to as to go into “his” hotel and then charged my friend €5 for the shower. The owner was so rude and aggressive I felt really uncomfortable staying at the hotel and I was not the only person who saw him as rude. He actually told a friend that he was”finished” with them on the last night and he was waiting for new money to spend. The owner needs to do paperwork only and let his wife interact with the guess.…
Visited Yannis Pool Bar a number of times in the last week during a holiday in Nidri. Great place for drinks. The owner has a brilliant, dry, sense of humour and really made our time there memorable, despite him suffering a very recent family bereavement. We will be returning to Nidri, and Yannis Pool Bar next September. Can't wait!!
We stayed at the Yannis I late August and had a fantastic holiday. The apartments are in a perfect location opposite the sea and yachts and are in the midst of lovely restaurants. The ferry port is approx 2 minute walk away with lots of boat trips on offer. The beach is approx 5 minutes walk. Our apartment was on the ground floor overlooking the pool and was spotlessly clean. Thankyou to Voula, Monika and Kiriakis for your kind hospitality. We can’t wait to return x
Friendly family run hotel. There is a good atmosphere around the pool and bar. They are willing to go the extra step for their guests. Accomodation as expected for the price everything is clean and well maintained. Well situated for this resort, lots of restaurants on the front, shops and cheaper restaurants in the street behind, a good choice of boat trip available.
Wonderful time again, fifth time visiting these apartments Voula, Moniker look after you in the daytime while evening entertainment comes from Kiriakos. He’s like marmite but give him a chance and don’t take him so seriously and he will really make your holiday. Breakfast was efficiently taken care of by Moniker and the paid for extras, bacon, eggs etc were well worth the money. We’ll be back for the 6th time either 2022/23 for sure.
