Very relaxed atmosphere at this hotel. Rooms nicely decorated and very clean. The beds complete with mattress topper are very comfortable. The breakfast has a wide variety of foods to suit everyone’s taste. My only teeny critique would be be please some pre sliced bread for those of us who like toast. Coffee very nice along with juices. My room 249 has a view across the swimming pool and to harbour. It’s a very peaceful location within a few mins walk to bars, restaurants, bakery, supermarket. The staff here are extremely helpful and very pleasant. My only advice to people is if you want 5 ⭐️ then look towards paying £100 + per night. But for me this hotel suited all my needs, which are very simple. Thank you to owner, manager and the team. I will be returning to Nidri and will definitely book the Argos. ⭐️

Stayed at the Athos hotel June 2022 small but perfect location and view from sea facing balcony just WOW . Shower small and curtain sticks to you. Bed got a little uncomfortable midway through but didn't spoil our holiday. Meganissi definitely worth a visit go as a foot passenger. The walk up to the village is tough in the heat but the views are well worth it. Staff absolutely lovely would definitely return.

Nice little place at the far end of town more of a marina to the front than a beach. A few bars here but a 5 minute walk to the restaurants on the front and a bit more to the best beaches. The hotel itself has a decent free breakfast with good coffee which you can use your own refillable cups for up until 10. Quiet place with the only problem being a Brit neighbour getting drunk a couple of times and having a barny with his wife, you know who you are. Pool good size but not a lot of room for beds so could be a problem in the summer. Good value for us.

We stayed here at the beginning of August for ten nights. Firstly this is in an ideal location if you do not have transportation as is close to the harbour, restaurants and shops (about 5 minute walk). We were given a room on the ground floor by reception which was great as no stairs. I had a bad back and even though the mattress wasn't bad, I asked for a mattress topper which was fitted within the hour. We actually ended up sleeping better than we did at home, so please don't be put off by bad reviews of the beds. Effi, one of the owners was mostly on reception, and always very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was fine. The lady always working at breakfast (so sorry, forgot your name) was always friendly and would always cook my eggs over easy for me when asked. The yoghurt, fruit, eggs etc were more than enough to set you up for the day. The pool was great. Loved that there is a proper deep end. Sunbeds were OK. Only negative opinion we have is that the hotel allows non guests to use the pool, who are mostly people staying in the own boats. Some reserve sunbeds/umbrellas then go off for the day, so only using them later on in the afternoon. There were also a couple of families from a boat who just left their kids on their own in the pool all day. They were so noisy, unsupervised and really had no consideration for the rest of the people trying to relax. After a couple of days they were told to leave by the hotel, but I think this did spoil our enjoyment of our pool days somewhat. Of course children make noise and it's great to see them enjoying themselves but this was more than that, and they weren't even guests. Really enjoyed the lunchtime food and ice-cold beers. Thank you Maria for looking after us and always with a smile. Yannis is a great barman who airways remembered our drinks, gives service with a smile and has the most adorable sons. Thanks for our evening ice buckets 🙂 At the entrance to the hotel is the Tree Bar. Had a couple of fun (late) nights there. The barman plays the music you want to hear and great to meet so many different people from all walks of life. Played "Spin the Wheel" a couple of times, so funny but not good if you don't like mixing your drinks lol! In all, a great hotel with lovely staff. I would return if ever we return to Nydri.

This is a lovely hotel, a bit tired, I agree with a lot of other reviews however it is very clean and the staff (all of them) are so friendly. Breakfasts are simple but lovely and fresh. Swimming pool area is really clean although the tree bar needs attention (tidying, making it look more welcoming). Slightly on the edge of town but easy to walk in to the busier part of town, nice along the water’s edge.

Before i start Ladies bring your own hair drier and although the hotel does provide one free in the room they are not great and it would take a while to dry your hair. Onto the hotel the staff are really friendly and helpful and will do their best to help with any issues but a big plus with this hotel is aircon is free. Safety deposit boxes are chargeable but are really cheap to hire. The rooms are a reasonable size and there was plenty of storage room and many of the rooms have a side sea view due to the way the hotel has been built. Balcony is okay size and had nice view of the sea and mountains and bathroom was big enough too. The shower had a mind of its own but i managed to tame it after a couple of days and it was fine but could probably do with updating. There was always hot water and the wifi was very good too, also rooms are cleaned every day but please note the cleaners do come in quite early so if you want a lie in use the do not disturb sign. I personally found the beds comfy but that is me and everyone is different breakfast was good with a fair choice of food eggs, sausage, greek yoghurt, toast, honey, cake, cereal, fruit, juices. The pool area is really nice and there is a nice cocktail bar which is very popular in the evening. The hotel is in a nice quiet location about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town . The hotel did not seem to have any access for wheel chair users and i would say it would not be suitable if you were a wheel chair user. As in previous reviews people have said certain aspects of the hotel could do with upgrading but these things are not deal breakers and are not enough to ruin your holiday. The hotel was really clean and i really enjoyed my stay that much i would go back tomorrow and in fact i plan to visit again in 2023.

We stayed for a week at the Athos, and absolutely loved it. Small and friendly, with beautiful views and just at the edge of town, so peaceful too. Staff were lovely and starting or ending the night at the friendly little tree bar is a must. I accidentally left a ring in the room safe and the hotel staff kindly recovered it and posted it back to me. Breakfast is very samey but apart from that this hotel has it all, and in my opinion should have a higher star rating. The photo is the gorgeous view from our balcony. Air con is included and very welcome! Nidri is a lovely resort, packed with bars and plenty of restaurants where you can eat on the beach at night. Boat trips are plentiful and watersports available.

Stayed at the Athos last week in July. Hotel situated in a great location pretty much in the heart of Nidri, right on the water. Nice pool and bar area. Staff lovely, helpful and friendly, there is also a bar at the end of the pool which hosts live music once a week. Seen other reviews and agree that some areas need upgrading (the aircon sounded like a train was arriving and water poured out of it) shower very dated but unlike others no issues with mattresses, the ones we had were quite comfy. You get what you pay for and for what we paid we had no real complaints, nice family run hotel, clean, cheap and cheerful and in a fabulous wee resort. Would return
