I’ve visited this place in January 2019. The island was small and comfortable, as I wanted. The Villa was one of the best hotels that I have ever visited. It was calm, convenient, with beautiful pool, exterior and interior. I was feeling just amazing inside the Villa. I specially like the bathroom which was open-air. There was a geco 🦎 living in our bathroom, but don’t be afraid, it’s its home 😂. I like freshly squeezed pink guava juice which you should try. It’s just so delicious. The breakfast was included but the choice wasn’t big. But was yummy. The stuff is so friendly and ready to help you anytime. They clean the rooms every day, and they change the bed every day, also they refresh the air of the room and the smell was so pleasant. You just need to close your doors of the villa, because you’re in wild nature and the big cockroaches or geckos 🦎 can come inside anytime. The safe was old and broken. All my money and documents inside, I couldn’t open it. The owner of the hotel helped quickly and gave a new safe. You need just a minute to walk to the nearest beach, and just some 7 minutes to the other beaches. On the island I especially like the “Sunday beach“. It’s so beautiful because you have the view of the other island in front of Lembongan, the next island is called Ceningan. And that beach is also famous for its super clear water and the swing inside the water. You can walk around the island and enjoy the view. Every point is near. Once we wanted to go to the “Yellow bridge” and we didn’t know that it is near so we took a car. The owner of the hotel took us their by his car and took much money. We understood that it was near and we could pay less later when we got there. But it doesn’t matter now. I’m happy that I chose this hotel villa and I advise you to choose and stay here if you want to feel in paradise. Also there is ATM in front of the hotel and you can take money from your card anytime.

This is really a review of the customer service as while I didn’t get to stay at Palm Grove Villas I just wanted to share my experience as a warning to others. We booked through booking.com in early November for our April stay for 16 people, 7 rooms. I received an email earlier this month saying they could no longer accomodate us and we had to book elsewhere, I called the villas direct to try to figure out what was going on, the lady although very apologetic would not budge and said she had just booked my rooms to another party and although she didn’t say directly, reading between the lines this other party had paid upfront and I was “pay on arrival” they got the rooms. We were so disappointed as another group of friends were already staying there and we all wanted to be together for a birthday. So just warning others pay up front or you might find yourself “guzumped” like we were.

There was some good bits and some bad bits to this accomodation making it average. Good; - location near to mushroom beach and walking distance to Devils Tear - bed was comfy - pool area was nice - limited wildlife in the room and bathroom Bad; - check in staff were not interested - wifi didn't work - beakfast was awful

Living in Bali I had reasonable expectations of our 3 day visit to Lembongan. None of my friends had stayed at Palm Grove Villas but all suggested Mushroom Bay as v convenient. This is supposed to be 4 star but I don’t think so. 3 star at best. The hotel was not full so unsure why we had to wait till 1:30 to access our adjoining rooms which were ready when we arrived at noon. Strange policy. Pool and tropical landscaping around very pretty. The rooms ok but serious issues with the sliding doors unable to close unless locked and aircon problems. Not good in the sweltering heat. We complained and they did attend quickly but still not great. Some mozzie problems too. Bkfast not bad but coffee was Nescafé (ugh really?) Loved the staff... so helpful and sweet so cannot fault them at all. It was peaceful and pretty around the pool and well located - 10 min walk to beach. A pleasant 3 day stay. Would I stay there again? Prob not. Too many other options available.
