Chateau Les Carrasses is a 19th Century Wine Domaine in the Languedoc, South of France, extensively restored as a luxury self-catering estate and boutique winery. Facilities include a magnificent infinity pool, floodlit clay tennis, boulodrome and barbecue area, conservatory, orchard and olive grove. Stylish self-catering accommodation consists of 30 suites, apartments and villas, many with panoramic views, private gardens and heated pools, and all fashioned from the original 19th Century buildings. Furnished in elegant French style, the properties suit parties up to 8 people, perfect for families and groups of friends. During the school holidays a kids club is open for children of ages 4 - 12 run by bilingual staff, and based around nature, water play, creativity, adventure and sports. Our restaurant awarded 2 toques by the 2020 Gault et Millau guide serves a modern take on Mediterranean cuisine and is open daily for lunch and dinner (closed Monday & Tuesdays in winter). Les Carrasses' wine range alongside a wide selection of the best regional wines and classic cocktails can be enjoyed around the pool, in the salon, the tasting rooms, or on any one of the terraces.

Property's Favourite Review
There is so much to say about this wonderful establishment. I will try to keep it simple: 1. The staff are incredible. 2. The pool is heavenly 3. The bedding provides extreme comfort with excellent quality and amazing sleep 4. The wait staff are friendly, attentive and well informed 5. The food is impeccable with a wide variety and such good value for its' exquisiteness 6. The views are simply breathtaking 7. The ground and the BBQ area I can imagine when in full swing would make a lovely ceremony venue. Everything was perfect. I can really go on and on about this special place. Waking up with views of the vineyards with birds singing in the background and lovely mellow jazz softly playing by the pool. It was such a special stay. I do have to request that special attention be given to Antoine at the concierge service. Upon walking up to the hotel, he greeted us by name ( how did he know?!), showed us around the hotel and the grounds, provided the most lovely 'Love box' of well chosen Champagne and he arranged the most beautiful flowers for our celebration. His kindness all around was so greatly appreciated. For the senior management: I must insist that the lack of a feature for staff gratuity being added to the bill or electronically be remedied. At the very least, a cash point put on the grounds (the closest one is still a bit of a drive) During Covid, cash is rarely carried. While gratuity is not always common and it is not necessary to be requested. We wanted to provide appreciation in this form to the Front of House and Antoine personally, although this was not possible during our very short stay. My personal thanks and gratitude was graciously accepted but having worked in Front of House 15 years ago when even then this feature was available, please remedy this so that guests may show their appreciation in many ways. Your staff deserve it! We hope to return on our next Anniversary or even with the family in the larger homes! We can not thank you all enough again. Your work is so greatly appreciated!

The place is lovey and the staff accommodating. But when you pay over 300 euros for a suite, you expect at least a bottle of water. ... and it would have been nice to have bath soap for a bubble bath (instead of or in addition to the shower soap secured to the wall). Further, you are only allowed in your room as of 17:00, but must leave by 10 am, even if no one is booked there after you. So forget a lie-in , breakfast and back up to the room as usual. This is awkward and unfortunate. Dinner was good and thankfully the staff made us very comfortable and took good care of us.

Response from Saint Pierre De Serjac, General Manager at Chateau Les Carrasses
Responded 2 weeks ago
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience at the chateau. Guest satisfaction is extremely important to the team and we’re delighted to hear that you found our staff welcoming and you enjoyed the restaurant. However we are sorry for the lack of water in your room, this is a mistake on our behalf and we have communicated with the housekeeping team to ensure that this does not happen again. As part of our commitment to the environment we took a decision several years ago to do away with single use disposable plastic amentities. We replaced them with very high quality Cinq Mondes toiletries in large recylcabe bottles. This not only eliminated thousands of plastic bottles every year, but also offers guests a spa quality product, unlike most single use amentities which are usually generic products branded with licenced branding. We do feel it was the right decision. Where possible, and upon client request, the team try to be flexible with check in and check out times. Should the property be empty before or after the reservation we will always allow the request. Please note that in accordance with Government requirements, increased cleaning procedures are in place, increasing the time spent by the housekeeping team in each property. It is very important to allow this time to ensure that each property is disinfected before a new client stay. We thank you for your comments and do hope that you visit the chateau again. Absolutely incredible place. My partner & I got engaged on the morning of our stay and the chateau couldn’t have been more perfect. We didn’t inform the hotel about the special occasion, but the service was excellent, the atmosphere fantastic and location/facilities brilliant. Despite being a luxurious setting, it didn’t feel pretentious. It felt homely & welcoming - straight from the off. The location is beautiful, lovely views from the main chateau/pool & surrounded in vineyards. The staff were all very helpful & attentive throughout our stay - and the quality of the restaurant/bar was top notch too. Although we went as a couple, it was clearly also very well set up for families as well. We were really impressed with the activities offer (cycling, swimming, tennis, volley ball, bbq pit, kids area etc). We 100% will be returning. I can’t recommend the chateau enough. They made a very special trip away absolutely perfect.

We stayed for one week as a family of 5. In summary, a beautiful property in a stunning setting with a laid back ambience. Our room was spacious and well equipped. Plenty to explore within the surrounding area if you are willing to drive 20/30 mins. Similarly, we enjoyed cycling around the vineyard and to the local town and along the Canal du Midi, less than 10 mins away. Pool area was beautiful, clean and plenty of sun loungers. Food at the restaurant was of a good standard as was the wine. The themed evenings were fun and all the staff we encountered were courteous and helpful, making this a memorable stay. Very informative guest book with lots of advice. Highly recommended.

Whole family had an amazing relaxing week. Nice surprise getting an early morning road bike tour with the owner - thanks Karl! Early morning start (in time for watching a wild boar crossing the stubble), 70k of smooth French roads through the local hills and back in time for the kids waking up so everyone happy!
