Found this place by chance when looking at Youtube videos for skiing in Japan. Was only meant to have stayed here for 2 weekends but ended up coming back for the rest of the season. It's a great place, literally just next to the slopes, which in itself is amazing. Place is run by a lovely family from Australia, extremely hospitable and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and warm, good place to store skis and gear, and breakfast selection (western) is good. I love this place and will keep coming back for years to come.

This was our second stay and it was even more enjoyable than the first! Marc, Heather and 5 kids go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and well looked after. They are very generous with their time, be it providing local knowledge, transporting you to wherever you need to go, or providing guidance on skiing and snow conditions. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and there is a welcoming common area where you can mingle. Literally a walk across the road and you are on the slopes. What more could you want.

Very clean, newly renovated rooms, fluffy towels, great showers and most importantly, a very friendly and generous family. My daughter and I have stayed here 3 times now and it is our favorite place to stay in Hakuba valley. It’s right across the street from the ski slopes, so you can just jump out of bed and be on a ski lift going up the mountain in a matter of a couple minutes. Breakfast is included in the cost of the rooms. Snacks are set out in the afternoon as well. Other guests have brought snacks to share with everyone! An overall great place to relax and chat with other guests, with Mark, with Heather, and with their 5 kids after a day in the snow.

We had an amazing time at this lodge. The room was a family room with Queen bed and Bunks for the kids. Very Cosy and warm. The lodge is large and intimate at the same time. Hosts Heather and Marc were extremely lovely and helpful. We will be back!
