We arrived in Hakuba tried after a long days travel, but were greatly surprised at the recently renovated hotel. The owner had put in huge amounts of work and as a result made a wonderfull comfortable place to stay. Everything was completed with a beautiful wooden finish and fitted out with many modern luxuries. Everything from the heated toilet seat to what might just be the softest doona I have ever slept in made for a great stay.

The location too was very convenient. It is located right next to a bus stop and in easy skiing distance to the nearest lift. Although we came during a time of little snow and as result that lift wasn't open . This however didn't matter as our wonderfull host Taka made it very easy to get around non the less.

Our host Taka was without doubt the highlight of the stay. He was hospitable beyond compare driving us to whatever ski slope we wanted to go . This especially was of huge help as many of the slopes are very spread out and require you to take long indirect buses to get there. Many days he would go as far as to load the car with our ski gear before we had even met him downstairs, at the end of the day he would even offer to then put our ski gear away for us. For inexperienced skiers such as me and my family he also provided good advice on where to go skiing for the day. Overall he truly went above and beyond and made our stay truly special.

In summary I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Hakuba Powder Mountain and couldn't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Hakuba Powder Mountain is the perfect place to stay for a skiing holiday in Hakuba. It's located about 25 metres away from the Sakka ski lift that takes you up to the Happo One slopes.

The accommodation is newly renovated and beautifully presented. Everything is brand new and includes everything you need whether you're self catering or eager to dine at the many excellent, local restaurants.

Taka, our host, was warm and welcoming and was extremely helpful. His English is excellent and he helped us with everything from grocery shopping to helping us arrange our outward journey to Hakone including contacting our hotel there to arrange a late check-in and pick up. Taka went out of his way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed.

If you're skiing or snowboarding don't forget that Hakuba Powder Mountain also offers equipment hire and that you get discounted rates as guests.

We were first time skiers and enjoyed that the accommodation is close to the ski school as well as the area shuttle bus services for getting around. It's a short drive out to Echoland and Taka was gracious in offering to drive us out when we ventured there for dinner.

For a family or adult group I can't recommend this place enough. We had a fantastic time there on our first trip to Hakuba and we look forward to returning there sometime in the future.

We stayed at Habuba Powder Mountain for 10 nights in January 2020 and had a wonderful time. This was due to the great location, great accommodation and the wonderful owner Taka. We could not have asked for a better host, from when he picked us up to when he dropped us off when it was time to go. He would take us grocery shopping and drop and pick us up from the other resorts on the days we wanted to try different runs. He was very knowledgable and helped answer our questions about where to ski or eat. The lodge was newly renovated and everything was lovely and new. Our apartment was well equiped and had everything we needed, we cooked a few dinners and lunches and did bacon and eggs most mornings. The kids liked having wifi and Netflix for the times when they wanted to kick back and relax. It is located right near the Sakka ski lift which means you can easily come in for lunch and warm up then head back out for the afternoon. Wonderful place to stay made even better by the wonderful host Taka.

Taka was a wonderful host. He has a ski and snowboard rental shop that is part of the lodge building with prices far better than the competitors. The lodge is located right next to the Sakka chair lift to Happo One ski resort and the Sakka kids snow play area. Good restaurants are within walking distance.

We stayed at Hakuba Powder Mountain in February 2020. Our host, Taka and his family were extremely friendly, generous and knowledgeable about the area. Taka speaks English fluently and assisted on many occasions. We will definitely stay with them again and always recommend this accomodation to our family and friends.

Highly recommend. We would definitely come back here. Great property located close to the chair lift. Very comfortable apartment with all the facilities required for a family of 4. Owners were welcoming, friendly and very helpful picking us up from the bus station and taking us grocery shopping. Can rent skis on-site and at good rates. My wife had an accident and the owners were kind enough to drive us to Nagano hospital, a one hour drive. The were always available if requiring assistance.

We stayed for almost a week at the amazing Hakuba Powder Mountain Lodge. I wish it had been longer !

We were a group of two families with two adults and three kids. There are three bedrooms and everyone had enough room. The apartments are newly renovated and spotless - you will find everything you need, and the design of the apartment is lovely with lots of wood and that beautiful minimalistic yet so functional Japanese style. The kitchen is well equipped and we were easily able to cook breakfasts and dinners for the hungry kids. There is a central living/eating area where everyone can hang out together, but space in the bedrooms that adults and teenagers can chill out there too if they need some me time! There is a room in the basement where you leave your ski gear, and a modern laundry/washing machine with inbuilt dryer for guests to use.

The location is amazing - Wadano is a lovely quiet pocket with mainly families staying there. There are some little food trucks across the road and also some cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The main Sakka quad is on your doorstep - you can ski to most parts of Happo from this starting point. If you want to try one of the other starting lifts on Happo there is a shuttle bus that stops very close by at the base of the quad.

One of the highlights of the trip - in addition to the lovely apartment and the great location - was the amazing owner/host Taka. He takes incredibly good care of his guests and it feels as if nothing is too much trouble. Not only did he help us with transport for grocery shopping and to the snow on some days when we didn’t start at Sakka, but he helped me sort out an issue with my train tickets when I had made a mistake with my onward booking, which was above and beyond what he needed to do! If you book Hakuba Powder Mountain, you can be sure that your apartment will be comfortable, the location is excellent, and you will be looked after very well by your host Taka - highly recommend it.

One of the best experience me and my family ever encountered. The lodge is conveniently located just a few meters from Sakka slope of Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort.

MrTakayuki-San feels more like a family than AirBnB host, he is one of the nicest guy we have ever met. He picked us up at Hakuba station and sent us when we are leaving. He also took me to grocery stores and other places.

Mr Takayuki and his dad helped with ski equipment. Skiing and snowboarding equipment are all new. I was surprised that Takayuki gave me a free rent because of the bad snow conditions during the visit.

This lodge is Sparkling new and clean and has plenty of household items. The floors are heated and all rooms have a heater. There is also an internet wifi connection and the TV has Netflix and lots of channels. Me and my family absolutely recommend this place to anyone interested in staying at the lodge.

Thank you Mr Takayuki-San for making us a memorable Hakuba Vacation.
