We had the best Hakuba skiing trip to experience at Sheltered Inn! The lodge was suitable for a big group trip, having sizable lounge space, several bathrooms and showers, and a spacious kitchen with all the equipment in place. There are many restaurants in walkable distances for dinners and drinks at Echoland. Above all, the host Geoff was such a great host and welcomed us with warm hospitality. Whenever we had issues he was always there to help. It was beyond the expectations and we couldn't have hoped for a better place. I would recommend this place to anyone who's going to Hakuba!

The lodge was spacious and neat with relaxed cozy vibes. It is located in Echoland area where you can find wide selection of bars / restaurants. On top of everything, the host Geoff was literally the best! Full of warm hospitality and humanity. Always gives you the best advises on restaurants, ski hills...etc Will come back to Sheltered Inn when I’m in Hakuba! Thank you for the amazing stay!

After spending a week at Sheltered Inn, I can honestly say that I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Nagano. The communal living space is great to chill by yourself or have a chat to the other visitors. The staff are all super accomodating to get you gear, on the slopes and out to dinner. All of the rooms are super tidy and there is ample bathroom facilities for the entire inn. Thanks again to everyone at Sheltered Inn and see you all soon!

This was my second stay at the Sheltered Inn. After spending a week there last year I returned this year for a double length of a stay. I couldn’t wait yo get back to the Sheltered Inn and be surrounded by the mountains of Hakuba. The sheltered inn provides everything you could need on a holiday; transportation to where you need to go (ie: the mountains) and back again, breakfast included, along with cooking space, laundry facilities and killer company with the hosts who run the inn. The crew will do everything in their power to try and help you or provide advice on cool things to do, see and eat. They’ll make you reservations for dinner and drop you off. With the inn being a short 10 min walk to the heat of Echoland.

We just spent a week at sheltered and we couldn’t to be happier with our choice of accommodation!! Nothing was ever too hard or a problem for the staff who drove us around like they were our own personal chauffeurs, and were always making sure we had everything we needed. The lodge is clean and comfortable and although the rooms don’t have en-suites it wasn’t an issue as there are 4 bathrooms of which a couple were recently renovated. It’s located 10-15 minute walk to the main area of Echoland which was a nice walk after dinner! Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to go back! Thanks for a great skiing holiday!
