It's a 5-7 minute walk from the various restaurants, (the one and only ) Lawsons, the bus terminal ( to get buses to other parts of Hakuba) and one of Happo-One's home slopes: the Nakiyama. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and looked freshly refurbished. The manager was really lovely and made our stay a pleasure

Loved this hotel, the staff were friendly and willing to help anyway they could. We had western quad room very spacious and bathroom was new and very clean. Had a nice little view to the slopes and up the street. Loved that you had to take shoes off at door of hotel and they supplied slippers to use to get to room! We were on second floor wouldn’t want to go higher if lots of luggage as no lifts. Would stay here again for sure, had more of feel of staying with locals which I loved. Do not trust google maps with direction on how to get to hotel, the hotel is quite close to bus stop and google maps had us going in completely wrong direction! This is no fault of hotel it’s just and FYI as we got lost!!

The lady who seemed to be the manager of the property was so lovely and willing to help where she could. It's really great value for money. The photos don't do the hotel justice it is very cosy and clean. It is about a 7 minute walk to the main Happo one Gondola and a 4 minute walk to the Happo bus terminal which will get you to any other mountain. We opted for a Japanese style room which was more comfortable than we thought although we think we will go for a western bed next time. The onsens are amazing.

Traditional lodge in the heart of Happo. Great proximity to the local restaurants, Happo bus terminal, and the Happoone lifts. Only a short 10-15 walk to Echoland for more nightlife. The lodge has an awesome rooftop onsen and each room has its own ensuite, which is awesome for the price point! Lodge host was very friendly and helpful! Only criticism, the futon wasn’t made on arrival. We had to make up the futon at 2.30am which was not ideal. Would definitely return!

Located close to restaurants, ski rental shops, the bus terminal where you can get the buses to the ski fields etc. Stayed in a western style room which was pretty big. Didn't try the food at the hotel, but there were always quite a few people eating in the dining room. There is a basement area to keep your ski gear and an onsen on the roof and basement that are alright - only used them once. The lady at the front desk speaks limited English but was always friendly and tried to help. Worth staying at if the rates are cheap as it's so close to everything.

Rooms are clean, and fairly large for 2 people. I stayed in a tatami room with a private bathroom. Bathroom was basic but functional, and the rooftop bath was a great experience in winter. Location was extremely good, walking distance from restaurants, shops and the happo-one bus terminal. There is also a basement room to store your boards/skis/boots, and there's a heater where you can hang your gloves next to to dry as well (makes them nice and toasty for the next day). Didn't have meals here so can't comment on that. Not much service to speak of as we were mostly left on our own (including setting up our own futons), although the staff were helpful enough when we asked questions. All in all I had a comfortable stay and would recommend for skier/boarders in winter.

Good access to ski rental stores, restaurants and the Happo bus terminal, which takes you to the nearby ski fields. The room was spacious, but bathroom was very basic. We stayed at the Japanese styled room which has very stiff futons and pillows. We were able to swap pillows upon request but they were still very hard. Suitable for skiers who don't mind anywhere to rest up. For the onsen, the rooftop one was much better than the basement level one.

This hotel - get the breakfast. You should really go for the Japanese style - you would have to have pretty unadventurous tastes to be turned off of anything for breakfast. The hotel is close enough to walk both to Happo One and the tourist info centre where you can catch a bus to other ski hills or tours. Staying in the village is worth the little bit extra - you can take a longer walk to the train station too. Plus you have the benefits of a bit of an apres ski culture, with lots of choice. Do not miss out on the roof top baths - just set aside any western reservations and go relax in the frozen air.

The location's good - walking distance to several restaurants and bars, and slopes. If you'd like more options, Echoland's in very decent distance away as well. Room's clean and with good space for us both.

Excellent location near shuttle bus stop , tourist center and restaurants, walking distance to some ski lifts. Ensuite room is large and well equipped and maintained, openair onsen at the roof is a bonus. Email communications fast response and nice reception. Highly recommended, price is reasonable!
