Wadano Forest Hotel is located in Happo One, the largest and most popular ski resort in Hakuba. The hotel has great mountain and valley views and is very close to the Sakka ski slope. Intermediate skiers can also enjoy ski in and ski out access. Facilities include male and female onsens, a restaurant serving complimentary breakfast, free broadband internet, a bar, and dry room. For our room rates, we believe we offer unrivalled facilities and service. We offer the convenience of western sized hotel rooms, including large bathrooms, combined with great hospitality and service.
We really loved staying at Wadano. The facilities were really good. Well equipped and very accommodating. The hotel features a short walk to the sakka slope on happo one, drying room for you ski/snowboarding gear, onsen, and a short walk to the local bus services and many restaurants in the wadano area. The staff were an absolute pleasure. They were very very helpful and went well above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. They even helped out with fine details like recommendations for dinner, bus services and the best slopes on the day to find. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed there for a week and it was a bliss. The facilities are great and the hotel is well communicated, once you learn the bus system to get around :) Definitively a place I would recommend to anyone going to Hakuba.

My wife and I, together with 2 friends stayed at Wadano Forest Hotel for 8 nights in February. Having stayed elsewhere in Wadano in previous years, we chose this hotel as it was more modern, had its own hot baths, close to the Sakka ski area, good access to nearby restaurants and was reasonably priced. It lived up to expectations and we were not disappointed. There was also good access to the shuttle busses for the other resorts, Iwatake, Tsugaike and Goryu/Hakuba47. And to top it off was the great reception and on-going service from "mine hosts", Joanie and Becky - they were very friendly and very helpful.

Me and a friend stayed here for a week on our snowboarding holiday. The ladies at reception made it an unforgettable experience! They were genuinely happy to help! They gave us a lift to a bar free of charge when they didn’t have to just for the sake of keeping us happy, helped us so much with getting around and even offered to cook us breakfast if we were to late to the breakfast buffet. It was one thing having the hotel be nice, but their work ethic and desire to make sure we were satisfied and happy was incredible. The nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. We legitimately could not fault anything. If planning to go to hakuba, I highly recommend this hotel. 100/10 stars!!

Wadano Forest is a grand old place with generous amenities, cosy lodgings, a convenient location and the most wonderful service for a modest sum. I stayed in the pension building which is an Edwardian house that lies next to the main building. The room was clean and tidy with comfortable beds and a tranquil view of the forest nearby. Breakfasts were provided along with an onsen (in the main building) and a lounge room. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Sakka slope and had nearby food options aplenty. The hosts were very helpful in offering lifts to dinner, there and back from the ski lifts, and to the bus terminal when it was time to go. I will certainly be back again!

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Wadano Forest Hotel in the last week of February this year and found it most enjoyable. Our hosts, Joanie and Becky couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and engaging. Whether it was organising our shuttle buses, dropping us off to the shops or advising us the best way to pay for ski hire, Joanie and Becky had all the answers. Our room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains (fourth floor); Everything was clean and very comfortable and relaxing. I would highly recommend a stay at Wadano Forest Hotel! Reay Mackay.

The Wadano Forest Hotel is in an awesome location right next to the Sakka Chair Lift. You can easily ski about 50m through the forest to the ski runs. The staff are incredibly helpful and picked us up from the local bus terminal. Joanie is fantastic and went out of her way to drop me to the local medical centre when i was sick. The hotel facilities are all really good; comfortable beds, clean rooms, good breakfast offerings and a large onsen. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.

We had a booking for the Wadano forest hotel through a third party agent. We arrived at the hotel at 2am to find that our booking was not confirmed by the agent and therefore no room was allocated. I must say the Hotel handled the situation with the utmost professionalism, Joanie organised us a room for the remainder of the night and she had already spoken with the agent prior to us waking. The balance of our holiday was sensational, we have Joanie and her team to thank for this. The room we had for the balance of our stay was perfect..... clean and well maintained.
