The bed was an exceptionally comfortable memory foam mattress. The hotel is very small and clean. The continental breakfast has mostly packaged pastry products but the coffee machine made fresh espresso. It is close enough to the airport to walk there in 15 minutes BUT there is no sidewalk for part of the route and the road is narrow so the journey can be hazardous with suitcases. The taxi service from the airport is a rip-off (one charged $15 and and another charged $20 for a 1 km ride) as is the #5 bus at 8 euro per person (the fare on the same bus to get on anywhere else and ride into Venice is 1.5 euro). The hotel rooms were quiet and the proprietor friendly and helpful

Ideal place and location as we arrived late short taxi ride from airport. I’d have walked if it was light! Very clean place comfortable bed and good facilities, all staff were lovely, self service breakfast had a good selection. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It's a clean room with a private bathroom right next to Venice Marco Polo Airport (less than 15 minutes walking, completely safe even at night). Nonetheless, the host doesn't speak english and it's quite rude because of It. He doesn't stay in the reception, but in another building that is located at a 2-minute walk from the hotel. When you get there you have to ring a bell, he will then answer in italian and you will have to wait in the street until he gets there. At least for me, once he did he fastly charged the booking from my credit card, while I'd had prefered to pay by cash, and then sent me to my room. In the morning, again there was no one at the reception, and it was written "to give keys do not ring", so I presumed I just had to leave the keys in the desk to do the check out, and then to find my way to Venice by myself. The breakfast was simple but good, and so was the bathroom in the room. Overall, It fits the purpose of being an airport hotel (at least for those who arrive before 1am or leave after 4am), but there's a lot to improve on the way the guests are treated. Obviously, an english-speaking member of the staff would help a lot in this manner.…

Good location for people arriving and departure from Venice airport (15 minutes walk),but also to go to Venice by bus (20 minutes). Bus Nr. 5, Bus station is 2 minutes from Hotel. Breakfast is fare above expectation.

I never take the time to write a review but my friend and I stayed at Gronda Lagunare for 2 separate nights while in Venice. The place is good for a short visit, clean and the owner makes sure you feel comfortable. I travel a lot and nobody has ever cared about me leaving the hotel early and bring me breakfast to my room "so that I am not hungry at the airport" even in luxurious hotels. That to me has more value than a fancy minibar. Walking distance from airport although I recommend checkin route in advance since some areas don't have sidewalks. A taxi should be cheap.
