We arrived in Venice at approx 6pm , Gianni, our host, picked us up from the airport where he took us to the holiday apartment on his farm, he was very helpful with lots of information about the waterbus , bus stops and so on. The apartment was very clean, but after a long day it would have been nice to have some milk in the fridge and maybe a loaf of bread as we had no means to get anywhere, we were able to buy some wine and milk from Gianni's shop, he had a lot of home grown veg there but not quite the stuff for a meal. Gianni was always polite, helpful and professional, he took, and picked us up from the bus stop every day. The negative about this place is that he had other people here who worked at the airport who were noisy late at night, it meant that we didn't get a good sleep and the pillows were very hard.

This place was an excellent choice because it was close to Venice so we could get there in 30 minutes but also seemed like a world away from all the masses of tourists and coach parties in Venice. Gianni was a very good host and provided lots of maps and useful local knowledge on travel, restaurants etc. The apartment was clean and spacious and very comfortable for a short stay. I would recommend these apartments as a great alternative to being in Central Venice.

The host Gianni was very kind and welcoming. The apartment was immaculately clean & comfortable. If you do not have a car Gianni will provide lifts to either the supermarket to purchase essentials like milk, bread etc & also drop off and pick up to the main street where you can catch a number 5 bus to/from Venice or airport and he charges €5 per day for this service. He also offers an airport shuttle for €10 per journey. The property is in a lovely quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of busy Venice yet only 20 or so minutes by bus will take you into Venice. Gianni was so helpful with all questions, providing information on Venice and it's surrounding islands and also providing assistance in phoning the restaurant for takeaway food to be delivered to us. The only setback & reason it does not get 5 stars is if you do not have a car you must be fully reliant on the host for your lifts to and from bus stop or supermarket etc & factor in the daily €5 charge. The apartment does have some basic pantry items as staples which other guests have left in cupboard I.e instant coffee, olive oil, balsamic vinegar however the property does not provide essentials like milk, bread, water etc so you must purchase this yourself from the supermarket. They provide towels, hand soap and washing up detergent along with all appliances like microwave, tv, fridge but they do not provide amenities such as toothbrush set, padded wipes, tissues, ear buds etc. All in all this was an extremely peaceful and relaxing stay and we would return if we ever come back to Venice as it is nice to be away from crowds and tourist trap but close enough to get there when required.
