A nice cosy and comfortable B&B which is situated within a mile walk from the airport. It’s very modern and tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and kept in touch prior to our arrival. We can’t comment on the breakfast though as our flight was early the following morning so we had to give it a miss.
We chose Dolce Laguna for its close proximity to Marco Polo airport and what a fabulous way to end to our holiday. This place is a gem, tastefully decorated, modern and spotlessly clean. A quiet, relaxing space to unwind, despite proximity to airport. Lovely slice of local life, down a quiet lane and surrounded by green fields. Eugenia was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. David was also most helpful and gave me a chance to practice my French! Breakfast was superb and coffee great. Dinner was an easy stroll to Eden Venezia for the best authentic pizza. Throughly recommend Dolce Laguna for incoming/outgoing arrivals.
We booked this hotel based on TA reviews and its proximity to the airport for an early departure the following morning. We checked in before returning our rental car to the airport and it was an easy 10-15 minute walk back to the hotel. There were a number of restaurants in the area and a grocery store just down the road from the airport. The taxi to the airport in the morning was 15 Euro. The room was clean and quiet. Nice bathroom. Good television, with a couple of English-speaking channels. We did not use the breakfast option, and from what we saw in the breakfast room that was a good choice. The coffee machine was up and available even without the breakfast option.
While it is listed as a b&b, this super modern facility is set up more like a hotel. It is super clean. The rooms were very nice. Our biggest complaints are that the wifi did not work from room 101 (at all). We had to sit in the lobby for it to work. And the shower (although beautiful) sprayed water under the door and saturated everything every time. I would think that those things would be an easy fix? The breakfast was fine with all the cappuccino you could drink, pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, meats and cheeses. Good value for the money.
We needed an overnight stay close to Venice airport at the end of our holiday in the area. Our expectations weren’t too high as this was intended literally as a stop over. We were very surprised however to have chanced upon a modern, clean and tidy hotel in a pleasant location. The staff were helpful and easily organised a cheap transfer to the airport for the following morning. Take a look on Google maps and walk round to the path down by the lagoon. Great place to sit and watch the planes landing and taking off and a lovely view of Venice in the distance. Decent and reasonably priced dinner available at the Marriott Courtyard about 5 minutes walk away.
