Another great stay at the Carlton, Dublin airport. Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The room rates are reasonable, especially because it offers so much. Great car park with generous spaces. Excellent check in staff who always make us feel really welcome. The rooms are a good size, plenty of space for two people. Kitty Hawkes is so relaxing for a meal. Lovely menu and so reasonably priced. Great shuttle bus service to and from the airport, and it is free!. The drivers are always so helpful and polite. We really love starting our holiday at the Carlton. We eat there on our return, to help us acclimatise to normality.
We both enjoyed our short stay over before our first holiday in five years. We had excellent meal in the restaurant and I enjoyed the bar facilities till closing time,Declan the barman was superb, along with two Americans I had a good time,The bed was very good but the duvet was either very hot or very cold after you removed it,possibly a sheet or light blanket may help with this difficultly. The shuttle drivers were also very helpful and deserved credit. Will happily stay at the carlton in the future. Thank you, Steve Shannon.
Our first time in the Carlton and it won't be our last. A spacious modern hotel with great parking facilities and what makes it all work is friendly, professional and 'can do' staff. Food at lunch and again in the bistro in the evening was straightforward, well cooked and presented well, as well as being great value for money. We weren't there this time because of its closeness to Dublin airport, but we noted how convenient it was and that there was an airport shuttle. Seamus O'Neill the Deputy General Manager made sure that our group who were there for lunch were well looked after. Our bedroom was roomy and a modern walk in shower a bonus.
I stay here frequently while taking early morning flights, more often than not they have upgraded me to superior rooms. The rooms are stylish, quiet and exceedingly comfortable. Staff have always been helpful with any requests and the airport shuttle bus is always reliable.
I have stayed in this hotel many times both for work and leisure. I find the staff always accommodating and friendly. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable, the food in the restaurant is great overall the Carlton is my first choice.
The Carlton is comfortable, convenient, clean and staff is excellent throughout the hotel and restaurants. They are friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to provide extra service.. Special kudos to Phillip, the airport shuttle driver who went to extreme efforts to return my misplaced cell phone.
This hotel is a good base for meetings and for visiting Dublin as long as you are happy to get a bus or taxi in to the centre. It is ideally placed for the airport with a complimentary 24 hr shuttle bus which is great. The catering team make this hotel. They are experienced, professional and polite.
Third time visiting this hotel due to hospital stays in the area. Never any issues or grievances prior to the third stay to stop us returning again for next visits. This visit was definitely the worst as there was an issue with the heating and the room was roasting hot all night until 5am it began to eventually cool down to the point we could finally sleep. We did speak to hotel staff in regards to this and "turned down" the radiator as advised but made no difference. Also a member of the breakfast staff was exceptionally rude every visit. Despite greeting this member of staff every time with a smile and a "good morning" we got an eyeroll in return, not even a forced smile. We explained each visit that the child in our booking has additional needs and requested water or dilute/split as a drink for breakfast as they cannot tolerate fruit juices, milk or tea and offered to pay for it. The first two visits this member of staff loudly sighed, once gave us a jug of water and the second a blackcurrant dilute. The third visit however, in response to our request we were again given a loud sigh and told "no, we don't do this." This member of staff however had plenty of time to look into a mirror and fix her makeup and apply lip gloss multiple times and also laugh into her phone when I can only assume she checked her messages or social media. I have no direct issues with the comments mentioned above but when we thanked the member of staff for breakfast on our departure of the restaurant, out of common courtesy and decency, we again were met with a sigh and an eye roll in return when she lifted her head from her phone, this results in the previous comments becoming an issue. We understand not everyone can be happy and smiley all the time, we're human at the end of the day but a little effort when working with the public especially the same way on three separate occasions doesn't go amiss! This unfortunately did impact our stay and wouldn't excite us to book our next stay in a hurry. This definitely reflects badly on the hotel and have deducted a star for the review as it seems to be an recurring issue.…
A bit if a wait at check in but that was given number on shuttle from airport, shuttle service helpful. Room was comfortable. Didn’t eat there so no comment but I would stay again. A little bag log for morning shuttle - had to wait beyond designated time.
The staff at this hotel was just superb. On a busy night, they were helpful and friendly to us upon check in and through out our stay. Its really convenient to the Dublin airport and the shuttle service is excellent. We would stay again without any hesitation.
